I'm currently looking at my G3 Styling Rainbow Dash right next to my 3.5 Styling Star Song, and Rainbow is a little bit taller by about a half inch.

I'd never sell unless I have more than one of a pony. I'm not really a collection completer or pick out only a few pony person. I'm more of the type who goes to thrift stores and is like, "hey, an MLP item I don't have yet, I'll get it!". So, I only get rid of ponies I have more than one of. All my doubles are in a box.

There is one thrift store near me that gets ponies in sometimes, mostly G3s and McDonalds (I could have pretty good size G3 collection from there if I collected them. It has been tempting sometimes.) One time they had some G1s. I got Sundance and a Baby Rainfeather. They had another baby G1 too but I couldn't read any markings on her hoof so I left her because I wasn't quite sure what she was (come to find out she was a Fancy Pants baby.) Turns out I can't really get back into G1s so I'm hoping to find the ones I did get another home. I still think it was cool to have found some G1s there though.

As I said, I don't collect G3 but I totally fell in love with her and she's in perfect condition. She was only 99cents. 
Aw, I have a Rainbow Dash and Tink-a-Tink-a-Too just like that! I suppose my biggest thrift store find was when my mom went when I was at school and brought home bags full of G1s and G3s. Or when I found G2 McD Sundance at a thrift store.

Yesterday me and my mom went to the Goodwill. I got two bags of ponies, all G3. In those bags were:
Autumn Skye
Sweet Sparkle
Scootaloo (non core 7)
Pink Sunsparkle
Styling Rainbow Dash (had stickers on it)
small plush Rainbow Dash w/ yarn hair
small plush Tink-a-Tink-a-Too w/ yarn hair
McD StarSong (the last one I need in this now is Scootaloo)
and loads of other McD ponies I had already
Then I also found Ponyville Sweetie Belle's Gum house and a giant G3 Pinkie Pie plushie. She appears to be a pillow.
Today, when I was at school, my mom went to the Goodwill again, and in this bag was G3 Core 7 Cheerilee and a bunch of G3, 3.5, and 4 McD toys I already had. But, I got Cherrilee, so it wasn't a waste.

YAY! I love blind bags. I really want Flower Wishes and Roseluck. I wonder when they'll make Lily (not Lily Blossom, Lily). They have 2 out of 3 of the flower trio as blind bags so far, I'd love to see the third (wonder what her name would be).

The donkey pose is my favorite G3 pose. I just like ponies with open mouths for some reason. My only donkey pose is Jazz Matazz.
