I'm with Loa here too, partly. I'm sorry you were disappointed, but she did come as bait so she is bound to have some major flaws, some of which you can't fix. At least you can make a custom though, that will be fun!

It's ok to get water on her and in her if you make sure she dries thoroughly afterwards to avoid rusting in the future. All my ponies come second hand and they usually have their neck seal broken, so to make sure she dries thoroughly, I pop her head off and put her on a paper towel near a window for a few days to dry. Besides the eyes, you can wash her normally :) For rusty eyes I just use toothpaste, a toothbrush, and a toothpick. Using the toothbrush, I scrub the majority of her eyes with toothpaste, then get the harder parts with a toothpick, minding her eyelashes. Then I rinse off the toothpaste. Some people use rust remover, but I never have, so I'm not sure about how to use it ^.^

I really wouldn't recommend sunfading her - she burns.

Yeah, at least it helps a poor discolored pony for a while

KottonKandy, have you tried nail polish remover or rubbing alcohol? That might work (just be careful not to get it on her paint.) And Eldarwen, there's no way of telling how long it will be until problems arise. Like Hanah66665 said, it could take a year, ten years, or even twenty for problems to show up. Anyway, like you said, personal opinions :) Like I said, glad it worked for you  If only I had enough ponies to test your methods...

Eldarwen, I'm glad it works for you, but in almost everybody's else's cases, it has damaged the pony rather than helping, and can damage other ponies too. Also, how do you "use it carefully"? I'm curious :) KottonKandy, you might want to try hydrogen peroxide? I don't know if the ponies who burn while sunfading burn in the hydrogen peroxide treatment. Here's a link to info on it http://www.mlppreservationproject.com/body.html#Yellowed
As another possible alternative, maybe you could try an OxiClean bath? I have never done one, so I don't know much about them, but I do know they remove grime. Since you said it was a grayish color, it might be mold? (Lol I have no idea. Still learning ) It might have gotten through to the outside like how sometimes rust shows through to the out side of the vinyl, or stained the vinyl. It might have been growing on the outside and stained the vinyl or receded into the pores. Or it simply could be grime that got into the vinyl. If so, an OxiClean bath would probably help (if you can give baths to brush n grows.)

Yes, it is true some ponies can get burnt while sunfading. http://www.mlppreservationproject.com/body.html#SunFading has info about it, plus some links to topics here :) I agree with Doedeardarling, sunfading is probably your best option. Also, don't use acne creams! They work long after you use them. The multiple reasons why they are bad for ponies have been discussed in threads here, but I seriously can't find them

She is my favorite pony of all gens! (Hence why I drew her as my avatar) Sadly, I don't have her at all. If I had to choose a version, it would probably be the US and Sternenglanz because I can't choose :P The US version is beautiful, and Sternenglanz has such wonderful colors and that beautiful pose that just make her sooooo pretty :dribble:

Pony Corral / Re: Pony Pores?!?
« on: July 25, 2017, 05:08:02 PM »
Woah, this is weird! It might be mold that got into the vinyl's existing pores and ate away ate material or broke it down, causing the large pores. It looks like she had a beard planned, but they gave up halfway and decided to cover up their mistake by flocking her :silly: I do agree with noxluc, it looks like someone didn't tap the air bubbles out and they didn't care because the flocking would cover it, especially since the large pores are on one side only.

I actually downloaded the game, and it was pretty fun! For a while... until everyone I played against had a Deoxys. Then it was really frustrating and I couldn't win at all :pout: Don't get me wrong, the game was awesome and really fun to play  Up till the point it where it was basically telling me I had to pay to win. I think I would prefer a Pokemon Go style game though, because ther is no pony violence  :drunk: Just my opinion though

Well, it wouldn't be a total ripoff  ^.^ there could be new features added and things could be changed. For instance, instead of evolving, ponies could be restored. When you catch them they could be bait, then be restored to played with, then good, then very good, then mint  You could find restoration tools (to help ponies get in better condition) out in the wild, like hair, a reroute tool, soap and water, shampoo, oxi-clean, paint, etc! (Also, I'm not really talking about ripping off Pokemon Go, just using the concept of collecting ponies )
Yeah, but then you'd have to travel to foreign countries for the nirvanas.
Haha! You never know, though... There could be nirvanas on vacation  The more I think about the possibilities of this game, the more I want to make it! Too bad I can't, as I don't know how to code  :cloud: And Leave a Whisper, why would it be boring if you don't mind me asking?

you mean more people wandering into traffic and in front of trains, completely distracted?

or you mean players trying to trespass on private property to "catch" the items?

short answer:  NO NO NO, get the &$@_@@ off your phone and join the rest of us in Reality.
Playing Pokemon Go doesn't mean being completely distracted or trespassing. When a Pokemon enters your area, your phone vibrates, and you can move closer to it, occasionally glancing at your phone to see if you are close enough to catch it while being aware of your surroundings. When you are close enough, you can throw a poke ball at it, and move on :) You can still be aware and alert while playing, because the app allows you to do so ^.^ Though there were some safety concerns and people breaking the law, I feel like the app took the blame, not the people who broke the law or were putting themselves at risk without the app's instructions. (The app actually gives safety warnings and doesn't allow you to play if you are moving at a certain speed to prevent car accidents.) If a pony version of Pokemon Go was made, there could be on option to turn off moving in the game by moving in the real world :) What I mean is that you could just move in the game world (which could be Ponyland!) and catch ponies there.
(Edited as I forgot to add a quote. Oops, silly me.. :) )

Pony Corral / Re: G4.5 or G5?
« on: July 23, 2017, 09:12:45 AM »
But the Pony Bride, SHS, etc were in addition to the regular G1 molds - not in replacement of them. G3.5 replaced G3, so it got a different designation. If they suddenly go back to using the old G4 molds then I agree that these reboot ponies probably don't need a different name. But right now, it really doesn't look like that'll be the case :s
I agree. I believe for it to be another generation (or a half generation) the new toys have to replace the old - which is what the reboot toys are probably doing.
