Are there earth ponies you think should have been unicorns? Unicorns that should have been pegasi? Pegasi that should have been earth ponies? What are ponies that you think a change of race would suit best?
It kinda bothers me that starting in year 5 of G1, there are 6 pony sets with 1 unicorn, 1 pegasus, and 4 earth ponies. It should be 2-2-2! For example, with the sparkle ponies, I think Napper would be good as a unicorn, and Sky Rocket would be a cute pegasus. And for the wave 1 TAF's, Up Up & Away as a pegasus and Love Melody as a unicorn.
Also, the balance in G3 is way off. Starbeam has all the makings of a unicorn, and Waterfire would make a very striking pegasus.

I hate how starting in G4, some ponies have such ugly names. Sure, there's been your Tootie Tails, and your Glittery Studies, and your Tink-A-Tink-A-Toos, but they've really scraped the bottom of the barrel with names like Filthy Rich, Spoiled Milk, and of course, the lovely Dishwater Slog. What little girl would buy a pony with that name? Also, can we talk about the later Blind Bags, and how many of them have human names mixed with bad horse puns? I hate it! We've got... Don Neigh Joan Pommelway Mare E Lynn Pegasus Olsen Janine Manewitz Roger Silvermane Slightly unrelated, but look at this sweet little crystal pony: visitors can't see pics , please register or loginWhat do you think her official name is? That's right, it's ELBOW GREASE!!

If we're being honest, the sea ponies. Although I don't dislike them, I always thought something about them looked weird (probably their lack of limbs), and none of them really have color schemes that stand out to me. This does NOT apply to their song though. It's the best song to come out of the first generation.

1. Single Newborns-I love the newborn ponies, and although they're not twins, they have the cutest symbols ever, especially Squirmy and Wiggles.
2. Newborn Twins-Although many of them have weird names, they're so tiny and cute and compliment each other perfectly.
3. Year 3 Babies-Classic and cute. I love how they have a more pastel variant of their mothers' color schemes instead of matching them directly like the later sets do.
4. Baby brothers-Little furry feet! D'aww! And their symbols are so cute and unique!
5. Rainbow Babies-They have such pretty color schemes and go well with the Rainbow Curls.

This is so hard...the candy canes are one of my favorite sets; I love them all. If I had to pick one I loved a little less, it'd probably be Caramel Crunch.

The later years of G4 have a lot of gimmicks that make me go hmmm...
I think the worst offenders are:
The "silly face" Pinkie and Dash. Nightmare fuel!
The bead hair ponies
The ones with the waxy yarn hair
The magical scenes. Stare into your favorite pony's butt to see a magical world, kids!
And of course, the Pony Life's, that really stretch the criteria for what can be considered a pony
I also find the so-soft babies really weird, especially the duck-faced G4 ones.
And those early g4 plushies they sold at Target with the fluffy mohawk manes and muzzles that are ridiculously tiny, even by G4 standards.
And anything that talks and/or sings. I hated toys that made noise with a burning passion as a child, and even to this day, Sing N' Dance Pinkie Pie triggers my fight-or-flight response. Too uncanny valley for me!

Unpopular opinion, but I love Yum Yum and dislike Munchy. While I respect Hasbro for making her unique, she's just a little too weird for me. I also think Buttons is redundant, and her colors aren't appealing to me.
If I had to rank them, it would be
1. Night Glider
2. Yum Yum
3. Merriweather
4. Bonnie Bonnets
5. Buttons
6. Munchy

Okay, I have a random pony thought:
Did you ever have a pony (or two) as a kid and realized that during your childhood you were calling it by a different name, either because a) you didn't know how to pronounce its name, or b) you just went through your entire childhood thinking that was its name and only just now, as an adult, realized it had an entirely different name?
Going back to this, yes! I always called Thistle Whistle "Twizzle Wizzle". I also always assumed my Crystal Lake was Twinkle Twirl.
