Everyone has such cool BJDs, I didn't know they made such unusual ones :)
My pink haired Licca chan doll arrived after a 21 day wait, I'm so glad I have her because I've wanted a pink haired girl for years ^^
Here she is in her original (magical girl) outfit:

Off Topic / Re: Makeup help-- acne and blemished skin?
« on: May 20, 2014, 02:19:23 AM »
You could try Clinique.  Their formulas are formulated for sensitivity.  It's more expensive, but when it comes to the stuff you put on your skin, you do get what you pay for.  You can also get help from the representative who can help you pick out something that will work for your skin specifically, including the color whether you're neutral, cool, or warm complected.
I definitely second using Clinique. I'm also in my mid 20s with oily, acne prone skin, but I'm able to use Clinique anti blemish solutions liquid makeup almost every day and my skin is muuucchh clearer than when I used to use other, cheaper products. The coverage is also excellent and the "fresh alabaster" tone matches my skin perfectly, so for me the Clinique stuff is definitely worth the 25€ (ca. 30 dollars) I paid for it. I hope you find something just as good and have fun cosplaying! :)

Off Topic / Re: Where my writers at? Chat with me about writing.
« on: September 03, 2013, 02:27:56 AM »
What do you write? I'm a translator, so I guess that kinda counts as writing :P I also like to blog and occasionally write short stories.
Fiction? Non-fiction? A bit of both. For work it's always non-fiction (mainly texts about art).
What are you working on now? I just started writing a short story that primarily is about a relationship between two very egocentric, narcistic people, but is actually meant as a kind of eulogy to a town I used to live in (I know, everything I do is extremely sentimental! x)
What's your favorite thing to write? I like trying to describe atmosphere, scenery, and small sensory details.
Are you published anywhere? I'm going to have my name published in an auction catalogue I translated if that counts lol!
Do you have writer's block? I only write for pleasure when I feel like it, so writer's block isn't really that relevant to me.
Do you write to music? Ususally no, because I always end up singing along and not concentrating x)
What genre could you never write? I don't think I could ever write anything with a very complex storyline or with too many characters, I find it difficult to imagine more than one thing going on at once (fail, I know xD)
Read any books or blogs on writing and want to recommend some? No, but my fiance once read a book about writing by Stephen King, and he seemed to find that helpful.

I LOVED this show as a kid, I used to watch it with one of my good friends when we were about 5-6 years old, and then we would fight over who got to play Tamara in our make believe games :P

I had some of the dolls (in the pic below) and was really surprised when I found out later how many more they had made!

Pony Corral / Re: Organize ALL the ponies!
« on: June 19, 2013, 12:32:18 AM »
I try to arrange them so that the colours look "balanced" and there's not too much of one colour on one side of the shelf etc. I keep my G1s, G4s and Fairy Tail Birds together, but arranged basically based on the same principle. I don't really collect entire sets, only those ponies that I really like, so I think this is the best method for me.

Although I did arrange everything by colour for a while and I liked that too, so I guess I rotate  ^.^ The pink/white shelf looked the coolest I think:

Pony Corral / A little accessory help from an expert? :-)
« on: June 17, 2013, 08:00:51 AM »
I got 2 bags of mixed accessories from the fleamarket this sunday, and I've managed to price and identify most of them using the arena and the mlp wiki, but there are still a few odd ones out that I just can't find anywhere, so it'd be awesome if an expert could help me out with some of these ^^

The stacking toy with a green pole wasn't on the mlp wiki, is it from something specific? I also read somewhere that this rattle is from the German baby buggy? How much do these things go for?

Here's a big bunch of stuff that I'm pretty sure is mainly non mlp, I just wasn't sure about the bonnet and the little apron thing. They look a bit like the bonnet from the sweet dreams ponywear set and the from the baby buggy, but in different fabrics? Is this just coincidence or is it international mlp stuff? Does anyone have any idea about where the other stuff's come from? :)

I also have the sleep mask from the rock a bye bed, does anyone know how I should price it?

Thanks in advance for any help you guys can give me ^.^ All this stuff will be for sale when I've sorted out my new paypal, so if anyone wants anything, just contact me and I'll get back to you probably next month.

*INHUMAN SCREECHING*
THIS!!!
These are so darn cute I just can't...
(and just when I thought I had stopped collecting G4... x)

I think my canary would probably make all TV/Radio etc state-owned and only allow them to play power metal and tapes of him singing, since these are obviously the height of all arts.
He would probably make it illegal for his human caregivers to eat breakfast before him, ban all blackbirds, demand a constant supply of bird baths and fresh broccolli, and I guess he would also have a bunch of female canary bodyguards too if he had the choice!

What?? I want to see!!! I searched on eBay and couldn't find it, is it still there?? D:
I MUST KNOW, lol x)

edit: I found it and it's beautiful ._. I love the cute little beak and the eyelashes! Definitely something I would buy if the shipping to Europe for plushies wasn't like, 20000 dollars (they only ship to US and Canada anyway). It's definitely a bit of a ftb rip-off, but still beatifully made, and definitely still a must-have item for fans of birds with hair! :P *furiously searches for similar items on eBay.co.uk*

Off Topic / Re: Do you have a favorite flower?
« on: May 14, 2013, 05:33:39 AM »
Adding succulents, dandelions, Gill-Over-the-Ground, orchids (can't believe I forgot them), bleeding hearts, daylilys, mums, and bay tree flowers to my list.

Mine is probably easy to guess.  *points to username*

The reason for mine is the scent.  My Mom had this old box of wisteria incense and I just love the aroma!  And it looks lovely in person too, though I have never smelled the actual flower.  LOL!
I don't think wysteria actually has a scent! It looks like it should do though (like a mixture between sweet pea and lilac maybe), so I always think it's a shame that it doesn't x)

Hmmm, the Wysteria that grows around me has a very strong scent. It's overpowering!
Wow I totally didn't know there were scented varieties, that's so cool! I'll have to look out for them :-) The kind that grew outside my old flat didn't have any smell at all, it just looked pretty.
