I don't have experience with this. My fear would be that the sun could damage the glitter. I don't know for sure though. Hopefully someone can help
Yeah I am also unsure of the Lametta Don't do it. All translucent plastic is notorious for discoloration.
But wouldn’t that mean she is also notorious to change back in her original color? Or do you mean I can’t control if the changing will be the same on head and body?

Hello does anyone ever tried to sunfade a G1 Sparkle Pony? I am curious because I have MO Star Hopper who turned into a darker green very similar to the store version. The discoloration is a match with head to body so it doesn’t look that bad. But I was wondering if the sparkling vinyl would turn into its original color in the sun, too Any experience would be appreciated

I have her and the other three with most of their accessories (only missing a few of their barrettes) I think the ponies look a bit strange because of their slim design but I think their accessories are some of the cutest ever made!! I am absolutely in love with their tutus!! And their colors are beautiful, too! Tip Toes has the cutest color combo

Oh good to know! Because I stored my Merry Go Rounds away with my Sundae Bests, because a Fair isn’t complete without a Merry Go Round AnD Ice Cream And I don’t want a yellow Flower Bouquet

Yes, that is something I thought about, too. If they only get harder and not porous? Does anyone know if the discoloration that sometimes hit the scented ponies can also spread on non-scented ones? Is this maybe something similar?

I didn't think so, but I wasn't sure.
Oh that’s a good idea! I have these little bags, maybe these will work, too What bags? You want to keep the ponies out of plastic.
No, I meant these little bags with Oxygen Absorber that you can put in boxes to keep mold away.

Is there something that I could put into the boxes to, I don’t know, „catch“ the gases?

Ah that sounds bad That means there isn’t a real cure for it. Yes, it seems like it happened to ponys with more brighter colors like my Baby Tic Tac Toe or my Quackers and some of my Summer Wings. Oh and Quarterback I think. They all came out around the same 2 years… Thank you for all the advices!!! Oh and it sounds like it won’t affect all ponies? Only the ones that would have get sticky in the next years all on their own?

That sounds like a reason, thank you! It can spread on other ponies?? Oh no!!

Hello Pony peeps, I am wondering what is it that causes this sticky feeling that some G1s get after the years? I had a part of my collection stored in a cardboard box in my Appartement for a few years and now some ponies got that sticky feeling on the plastic no discoloration or anything else..they just feel sticky. But just some not all of them. What is it? And what can I do to prevent or to get it away? Any ideas please?

Looking for Baby Bouncy‘s dark pink ribbon And if you have any other original ribbon, please let me know. Also I am looking especially for Daisy Sweet‘s and Red Rose‘s hair clips. And also their flower picks.

"Why did Hasbro do this?"
...The motto of every G1 pony collector, ever xD.
Literally, who knows O.o.
I really would love to talk to someone who worked back then at Hasbro!

Yes, my childhood Cotton Candy is from the first release that came with Moondancer and Glory with painted symbols. I am sure because she was my first Baby Pony. I also had these two as a child ( that is why I am sure that Baby CC is from the first release before 1987) but unfortunately I sold both as a teenager to my neighbors’ children Lemondrop and Cherries Jubilee I got years later and funny thing is: On Baby Cherries Jubilee you can see that there WAS a Pat Pend under her hooves So they definitely carved the PatPend out on every single pony! Not on the mold but on the finished pony. Edit: I have also Baby Surprise and Baby Firefly from the German first Baby release (without the playsets and with non-glittery symbols) and they also both haven’t the PatPend under their hooves.
