Off Topic / Re: Talk to me about
« on: December 07, 2014, 09:42:55 PM »
I use Boost, it's 45 a month, unlimited everything, it works off of the sprint towers so I don't get roaming or anything and I travel all over the country. The phone I bought was a LG Realm, the guy at the Best Buy told me it's equal to a Galaxy S3/S4. I paid 40 for the phone and it's a great size.
Also straight talk and some other places do allow you to bring your own phone as long as they take a sim card to carry over to the new carrier.
Good luck with your phone.

The Dollhouse / Re: Need Help IDing this American Girl
« on: November 30, 2014, 04:59:10 PM »
It is quite possible she's wearing some clothes that aren't originally hers. Someone passed her to me, so I don't know any of her history or anything. She is just sort of staying here until she finds a home. Thank you for the information, I will try to further my research.

The Dollhouse / Need Help IDing this American Girl
« on: November 30, 2014, 08:08:12 AM »
I know it's an American Girl, but I don't know much else. She also needs a bath, but I don't know how to do that. Can I just take a baby wipe to her skin and if she finds a home the new owner can wash her hair? She is in wonderful condition, her lashes look untouched by anyone and no marks or scratches on her body. Her hair was in a braid, but I took it down. She also has a pair of blue boots and white undies.

Pony Corral / Any pony wanna do lunch?
« on: August 29, 2014, 10:20:17 AM »
I most likely will not make it to the Michigan meet as I am going to be working. But I was wondering if any pony wants to have lunch up in Troy with me. I will be in Laconia New Hampshire this coming week (Sept 2-6) and then in San Diego, Ca til the 17th. If anyone wants to do a trade or is selling in that area. Or even wants to tell me a good thrift store or vintage toy store in those areas. I am all ears!

Pony Corral / Re: Thrift store shoppers, question for you
« on: August 29, 2014, 10:14:21 AM »
It depends on the store really- Once I found a big clear tote bag full of ponies at a Goodwill, it was hanging on a roller rack, the whole bag was 6 bucks!! At another Goodwill I found a lonely Parasol in the stuff animal bin, she was priced as if she was a stuffed animal. The girl let me have her for half the price however because she saw it wasn't a plushy. When I was in Oklahoma I went into a Vintage Stock store and on the wall in baggies there were ponies. They each were bagged separately, I only bought 2 as the others were full of mold. When I was at a thrift in Vegas the ponies were bagged with barbies and Monster High dolls, I bought the MH dolls and got a pony. When I lived in AZ I went to a Value Village, and the ponies were on a little shelf mixed with other toys loosely.

Pony Corral / Re: Does regluing heads on G1s devalue them?
« on: August 29, 2014, 10:05:51 AM »
These are very good points. I sadly was trying to behead them to keep water from setting inside the body after a good washing. The neck ring was severed by accident and poor Tex had to have his head reglued. I am only trying to collect my original herd ponies, and I never had boys back then, so I was hoping he could find a new home. I guess I will just have to keep him, I don't want to try to sleep at night worrying about someone not being happy about him. Thank you all for being honest.

Pony Corral / Does regluing heads on G1s devalue them?
« on: August 28, 2014, 08:23:47 PM »
I had a heck of a time removing heads off of some G1s and I had to reglue them on because of the inner ring becoming detached. I was wondering if it changes the value of a pony. The ponies in question are close to mint/perfect except for having to have the head glued on.
I'd greatly appreciate any help. I was thinking about trading some of the ponies that don't have sentimental value for ones that would.

Pony Corral / Re: Who has a Pony Travel Buddy?
« on: August 28, 2014, 08:12:55 PM »
I have a blind bag Rarity that rides around in my purse. I travel for work and my daughter asked me to keep a pony with me. I don't take pics of it doing things, but sometimes I find ponies at thrift stores and they will hang out in the bathroom or kitchen of my hotel room. Sometimes my roommate gets freaked out when she comes out and finds headless ponies in the kitchen.

YAY, Lorelei!! I am so glad you're going!
I will be in Troy Michigan during that time for work, I just googled and it's a hour from Potterville. I wonder if I could some how go to the meeting or something. I'd love to buy ponies to keep me company in the hotel.

I was browsing the store and saw G1s in a bag on the wall. I bought GLory and apink SHS. But I walked away just spending 5 bucks. They both need a good cleaning, anyone know of a good way to clean them.
I'm hoping my pony luck keeps going well, as well asall of yours.

Off Topic / Re: What's a TRU outlet like??
« on: June 01, 2014, 02:27:49 PM »
Oh alright, I won't get my hopes up. I have to go to Vegas for a week for work and the outlet is across from the hotel. There are other stores there as well, so all won't be wasted. :) But I am a severe penny pincher. I am just hoping to find some LPS and maybe a pony item. *shrug*

Has anyone been to one? I have never heard of one until the other day. Can anyone give me insight on what to expect if I go to one?

Pony Corral / Re: I need help washing
« on: May 31, 2014, 08:58:02 PM »
Thank you SeashellnBubbles, I ended up remembering Liz having one when she was a toddler. We would take the batteries out and just toss it in the washer. I put some baking soda and laundry soap in the washer and let them take a spin. They came out so clean. The soiled diaper got clean you just see tiny pin dot mold here and there. I can always cut that off and make it a new diaper if Liz doesn't like it. I am letting them air dry in the laundry room window.
