Pony Corral / Where to watch 'N Friends and Tales?« on: March 13, 2014, 06:14:03 PM »
I know someone used to have a website uploaded with some of the original MLP episodes but I can't remember the name of it, or know if it even still exists! Since the first season DVDs are so hard to come by and pricey so I'll never get to watch that, is there another site that has episodes available or are they on YouTube anywhere?

Pony Corral / Re: Favorite pony mystery?« on: March 13, 2014, 05:22:41 PM »So many lovely pony mysteries!! I'm so glad everyone's showing their passion about this, that's what I wanted it to be. I honestly wish we could solve all of them. If only.. I was trying to find info on that ceramic pony recently... Definitely my favorite pony mystery! I also love prototypes and wonder how many of each were made and where they went! I like to think Hasbro has a secret library somwhere with a copy of all the ponies they've ever produced... 36

Pony Corral / G1 Backcards and Pamphlets« on: March 09, 2014, 09:11:48 PM »
Is there any sort of G1 backcard and pamphlet collection or gallery around? I've been really interested in seeing more original art and reading the back stories on my favorite ponies! Plus I love showing that stuff to my fiancé and talking his ear off
I'd love to see backcards and pamphlets from your collections, too! 38

Pony Corral / Re: Who was in your childhood herd?« on: March 08, 2014, 05:40:51 PM »
Mine were all hand-me-downs from my sister and my herd was very small! Luckily she had lots of cute babies. I had...
Goldilocks Baby Ribbs Baby Drummer Sparkle Baby Gusty Sparkle Baby Lofty Baby Dots n Hearts Brilliant Blossom Sweet Lily I know at one point we had Majesty and Peachy cause I have the Dream Castle and Pretty Parlor from when I was a kid but the ponies have been a mystery 40
Off Topic / Re: How to go about picking a pony for a tattoo?« on: March 08, 2014, 03:39:41 AM »
I would definitely think about which pony is your absolute favorite and consider if she/he will translate well to a tattoo! I would suggest avoiding white ponies because white ink does not hold up over long periods of time (turns kind of an oatmealy color) and really should only be used for accents and highlighting. The most important thing is to research your artist!! Spend the most time looking at portfolios. The longevity of your tattoo will depend on the artists skill level and experience. Ask them if they have pictures of healed tattoos, not just pictures taken the day they were done. Skin tone is certainly a factor, but yellows can be made vibrant if they are out in correctly. And most importantly I would say let the artist design it. Having a basic concept and layout it good, but your artist will know best how to make it work as a tattoo!
Sorry for the lengthy reply, but working in a tattoo shop for 4 years makes me always need to give advice 41
Pony Corral / Re: Ponies You LOVE in Poses You Hate..?« on: March 06, 2014, 07:55:14 PM »
I'm jumping on the Tootsie pose hate train! I think she really could be one of my favorite ponies if only she was in the shy pose or Tic Tac Toe's pose! Love that one!

Pony Corral / Re: Tiny shelves for tiny ponies« on: March 05, 2014, 05:46:10 PM »
I don't have a picture of it but while we we're visit my finances family over the holidays, I snagged an old wooden utensil organizer that my mother in law was throwing away and it is perfect for blind bag ponies and other small goodies! I hung it on the wall like a picture frame and it's awesome!

Pony Corral / Re: How many ponies do you still need to complete your collection??« on: March 05, 2014, 02:42:12 PM »
Completing my US G1 ponies is my biggest dream.... I have about 150 of them now, and a couple of internationals I've been lucky to pick up in lots. I would LOVE to be able to collect the internationals as well, sans Nirvanas. I think my collection will never be complete though because I'm a merch fiend, too (though I don't have much besides a couple puzzles) and I AlWAYS find new stuff I want!

Pony Corral / Re: Happy Pony Thoughts...« on: March 05, 2014, 10:37:07 AM »
I honestly don't know why! My fiancé thinks that ponies are an outlet for the cutesy girly girl that loves everyone inside of me when on the outside I'm actually just cynical and I don't like anyone! But mostly I think it's all nostalgia for me. I grew up in the 90's and the only ponies I had were hand me downs from my sister and I LOVED them more than any other toy. Me and my best friend grew up playing with ponies from thrift stores and doing pony/Pokemon/Barbie/whatever crossovers all day everyday.......aaaaahhhh memories!
