The Dollhouse / Re: Disney dolls discussion!

That Designer Elsa is very pretty but she does seem to be a little plain for a designer doll.

I'm still trying to figure out the differences between the Disney Store Elsa and Disney Boutique Elsa. So far it looks like the Disney Store version has more details than the Disney Boutique version.  Can anyone post pictures of both dolls for me?

I can't find pics right now :( This is how I see it though;

The normal 17" normal 'play' Elsa and 'LE' Elsa share the exact same head mould. The LE has more detailed face painting and 'real' eyelashes.

'Play' Elsa, is a singing doll like all the other 17" Play versions. She sings part of her song (Let it Go) and there is a compartment in her back for batteries, and, most uniquely; her elbows to hands are transparent plastic and glow blue!

(I had a link to a video...can't locate it right now)

LE Elsa does not sing (none of the LE's do) has more detailed clothing, though both look to me like they use a lot of glitter (hard to tell from image) , LE seems to have softer fabrics and apparently has rhinestones in her dress, and in the snowflakes in her hair. I would hope that what I think is Glitter on the LE is actually embroidery.

The LE and Play have very similar hair styles in my opinion

First look at LE 17" Elsa!!!

She is gorgeous!

Ooh look at the snowflakes in her hair! It looks like she has the very pale skin like Snow White

I think she does look less abstract than the others in this series. The others interpreted the character's outfit with a 'twist' eg snow white had the exaggerated ruff around her neck, and jewellery, Rapunzel had crazy sleeves, Ariel was very very different from her cartoon counterpart. I need to see more pictures

(thread title used to be something like 'Will Meg be added to the Princess line?' now it is 'Who is your favourite princess?' in case people think all the posts about meg are veering wildy off-topic! )

..anyways, in response to the new title, my clear top 3 princesses are Ariel, Aurora and Jasmine and after that I guess Belle and Mulan

Yeah, not sure why that happened. I had to reset the time in my profile. If you select Auto Detect in your Look and Layout, it will be sorted again. :)

OMG.....Thankyou!! It wont tell me I'm up late in the morning anymore, yay!

Are those rainbow eggy things edible?  'Cause I'm reminded of this:

(Not my personal image, but I got one as a random gift at work last X'mas since I'm the resident holiday fiend there...)

Now that you mention it, I bet those aren't edible, and that a lot of kids are going to think they are...

So will there be parents checking their child's poop looking for the toy poop that was pooped out?

This is getting seriously meta.

Omg these were really popular a few years back, I had one. Pretty sure the poo was edible jellybean-like-things

the unicorn pooping rainbows though...that's just awesome

I'll try not to do repeats!

I like Lolligiggle, actually. Wordplay!

I'm not thrilled with Kimono. Isn't that the equivalent of naming a pony "Shirt?"

Also not a fan of ponies named for real life/"human" places, like Hollywood or Honoluloo. To me, ponies live in a completely foreign fantasy land and have no association with humans!
Also don't like when the creators just name a pony after their symbol instead of something even a little creative, like with poor Cupcake, Waterfire, and...did I read that right? Orange Flower? Wow is that bad. It's not even a blossom from an orange tree...her symbol literally is an orange flower. Uuggghh

Don't knock Waterfire's name. Hasbro is located in Rhode Island and in the summer they (Providence, the capital city of Rhode Island) have an event called Waterfire where they have bonfires in these metal baskets on the river. While it has never been officially stated that the pony's name was inspired by the event it seems a little too convenient.

My apologies for not knowing that.

(I don't like WaterFire's name either ;))
