I would love to see TAF or Twinkle Eye ponies. However, I have no complaints. I was finally able to pick up a Starflower at Target & I love her colors! I am excited about the potential release of baby ponies.

I finally got my hands on a Moondancer but I had to resort to Amazon to order her. She is lovely! I only saw the unicorn / pegasus wave just once in my area at Target. It's all been collector ponies and the first wave of rainbow ponies. The latest wave of rainbow ponies showed up but they got snapped up pretty quickly. I did manage to pick up a Flutterbye - she's really pretty!! Looking at the chatter about the possibility of Twinkle Eye ponies - I'd want to get my hands on a Gingerbread and a Fizzy!!!

I only found the unicorn/pegasus wave once at my local target. It has been a plethora of original six and rainbows but the shelves are picked over every time I go - so hopefully that means they're selling well!

I love that they are labeling these as classic!! I'm very curious to see what other waves they'll release. I would be all over new so softs or twinkle eye ponies. A brand new Mimic? SIGN. ME. UP.

So, crazy enough - I think I know what you're talking about! It was on a website called X-Entertainment! The owner had all kinds of great reviews and articles. Unfortunately, he pulled the plug 5 or 6ish years ago and started a new website - Dinosaur Dracula.  I don't think he kept any of the old articles from the website, so I'm really not sure. The new website is similar and I enjoy visiting it every now and again. :) Hope that helps!

I picked up 35th anniversary Butterscotch, Skydancer, Starshine, Medley, Twilight and Glory. I'm still on the hunt for a Moondancer, but I will tell you that the new Medley is beautiful and she's my favorite from 2018! I also got a miniature Glory which was also really neat!

Pony Corral / Re: Is the forum dying?

I took a long hiatus from the arena simply because life got in the way for a while and things were too hectic. Before I left, I remember the forums being packed with posts about G4 & prior to that I remember when G3 hit and how crazy the forums were then. As others have stated, the rise of social media did spread out where other collectors post to.

Honestly, I love the forum format for collecting. It's much easier to search here for past posts and to get information. The way facebook is set up makes it difficult to find a previous post for a particular subject. I belong to a local car club, and let me tell you it is a pain in the butt to try and search for something someone posted even a month ago on facebook. I use facebook mainly for networking as the forum for the car club is almost completely deserted. It's refreshing to see that the arena is pretty active compared to other communities that are/were based on a forum platform outside of social media.

So - while it's not as bustling as it was maybe 7 or 8 years ago, it's still pretty active if you compare it to other collector forums. :) I still love it here and I drop in every so often to look and see if there's anything I've missed. It was a nice surprise when the 35th anniversary ponies popped up!

I pop in about once a week but I don't post as much as I did once upon a time. I dropped off right about the time G4 started to take off, had a few big things in life, was gone a few years... but now I'm starting to come back. I like that this is separate from FB.  The 35th anniversary ponies sucked me back in.

Wave 3 finally showed up at my Target last week. I picked myself up a Glory, Medley & Twilight. I really want to find a Moondancer but I haven't seen her out just yet! I'm so happy to have these reproduction ponies!!! It was nice to get a Glory that's white and not some kind of cream color.

The rainbow ponies just showed up at the Target in my area less than a month ago. I picked myself up a Starshine and I also saw they had the pretty parlor. Personally, I can't wait to get my hands on a Glory and a Medley!! Going to have to keep my eyes out for these!

Pony Corral / Re: Help! G3 Morning Glory prone to hair breakage?!
« on: June 27, 2018, 04:55:17 PM »
I had this issue with Peachy Keen and a purple baby G3 who's name currently escapes me. The thing was, at the time the ponies weren't even that old. I noticed this issue back in 2012, so it's not like these sat around in poor conditions for 15 years. As many others have said, it could have been a batch issue. I just remember going to tidy things up one day and all the sudden I had a handful of pink hair!

I was all about the new coffee mugs!! I get paid this week and may have to snag a couple for my house!

The most I have ever spent on a pony was right around $150 for a MIB Sheertrimmer Dream Beauty! I enjoyed having her in my collection but sold her off recently. She was nice and I sure hope the new owner is a collector that will treasure her as much as I did. :)
