SweetScoops, thank you so very much! I've already eaten a few of the kitties and pastilles (naughty, naughty; I hadn't even had breakfast or lunch yet!) I'm so ridiculously excited to try everything. I've taken photos that I need to get moved onto the computer to edit. I have to go work on dinner and cleanup now, so I will have a full report up in the brag thread soon, and of course your feedback. Thank you again!

Seriously, where do they hide the option to let people view the page without logging in? I KNOW IT IS POSSIBLE!
It must be so! 'Cause I don't even have a Tumblr account, but I check out a few friends' Tumblrs from time to time.

Lol. ala - is latin for wing. Corn is latin for horn. - that's where alicorn came from. As for making the term popular in that usage you can blame Piers Anthony.
Dunno about Piers Anthony use of the word, but I remember learning the term "alicorn" as a name for winged unicorns from reading really old (and pretty bad) fantasy books published around the 40s, when fantasy novels were super dry and full of themselves. (It was all our crappy library had till they expanded the building. Don't judge, haha.) No wonder I switched to Terry Pratchett and never looked back. But I remember being really confused when I later learned "alicorn" as a name for a unicorn's horn since I knew it as a winged unicorn first. "Don't these guys know an alicorn is a winged unicorn?" I think I had much internal rage over that as a child till I learned it was okay for the word to have two meanings. To Al-1701: it's pretty common for words to change spelling over time, 'specially when they're combined or translated from another language, so maybe that's what happened there?

rofl it looks like Bubbles is carrying around a bottle of wine in those first panels I guess they don't call her Bubbles for nothing! Bubbly is more like it.
So much love for this.

I love how Sparkler turned up for exactly one panel and then never showed up again. I guess she thought the Sea Ponies were never coming back and went to go drown her sorrows in some rump ice cream. And someone should really tell Windy on the second page that horn-bleaching looks soooo tacky.

Sea monster! Because that's what the coin toss told me to vote for last time. And we all know you should *always* listen to what coin tosses tell you. They know their stuff, do coin tosses.
Though I was sorely tempted to vote for for the first one with the weird little booties. Are they cleaning the floors or something? Is it the latest fashion? Is it the curse of the Shoe Imp, who was offended by their horseshoes?
....I'm starting to think maybe I should do pony comics of my own. That Shoe Imp sounds like a story that needs telling! And I *am* pretty random....
LadyM, I'd say if possible, tag all the characters who appear. 'Cause some people are completionists who want *everything* featuring their favourite characters, no matter how small the role. Not that I'm an OCD sufferer who knows this from previous experience and is trying to break the habit or anything....
Plus, it'll make it easier for people to search the archives, if the only things they remember about a comic were that it took place inside Dream Castle and had a singing lamp and Galaxy was in the back of one panel.

I keep looking at that peacock's crest in his angry-face panel and wanting to make jokes about mohawks/fauxhawks. That bird also looks like he should be shouting insults and commands at a bunch of new recruits in basic training. *LOL* I just noticed the new subject line for this thread!

Sounds good! Can't speak for anyone else, but I got what I hoped for, which was a good laugh at total insanity of the Internet (hey, beats getting angry....) And I'm still fostering the hope that the OP could find some amusement from all this, now that the original situation is taken care of in Stormy's favour. If this thread made you laugh, Stormy, all's well, and if not...well, things worked out anyways. Win-win? I'd say so. Besides, BattleNet is back up. Slaying the forces of Diablo and yelling at snipers on the auction house is a bit more interesting and productive than trying to figure out John Gabriel's Greater Internet [Jerk]wad Theory.

I just laughed out loud at her new ebay profile description
I am a fat lazy tomcat with really stinky poops. *Snip*
WTF? lol!
Yay! So kind of her to oblige. =^^= I dunno about you guys, but I'm having fun here. I hope Stormy is having a good laugh about all this now, too.

That's really helpful, and it's making me want to come even more. I'm told I make some tasty baked goods. So if I ever make it to a meet, I'd totally be up for contributing snacks. I even have an old G1 MLP cookie cutter that's screaming to be used for this purpose!

*Raises hoof--err, hand* Okay, so I'm outing myself as a meet newb here, but what exactly goes on at pony meets? I'm interested in attending one (if not this exact one; see earlier comment), and I don't want to come unprepared! I've done a lot of anime and sci-fi conventions in the past, so I keep imagining a mini-con with people cosplaying ponies and sharing fanart and pony lore. So what is a pony meet *really*?

Thanks for the info, Tootie and Squirmy! The time she was active was around the time I had to put MLP fandom on the back burner for a few years while I dealt with Real Life, so I missed all that fun. I realized her name sounds familiar because one of my friends has a cat named Lexi. Maybe when this Lexi is done being a trucker preying on girls, she'll be a fat lazy tomcat with really stinky poops.
