Oh my goodness, it looks exactly like Sam! Beautiful work, I love the tiny details like the frying pans and the little brooch on his cape!

I only played a little with hubby, because he wanted to try a new deck he had built - I was using one of his other decks. I kicked his butt, twice. :P The group at lunch played a lot (apparently that table at our high school is still the gaming table). But I do like the artwork on the cards.
Yeah, the artwork is surprisingly awesome. I love that they are so creative with the creatures, and I've spent the last day or so admiring all the "land" cards while I've been learning how to play the game!

There is actually an App for iphone or android that explains how to play Magic and takes you through the basics- it is a little slow but MUCH easier than learning on your own or with youtube tutorials...

I think you had better learn to play fast!  It used to be that Wizards would only hire people (copywriters, lawyers, event planners, etc.) familiar with their products-  although maybe that has changed.

Galactica, you happen to remember the app name? I've been slowly easing back into Magic and I am hopelessly lost. The app would be very helpful for me.

I think I found it in the Google Play store under "Magic 2015" :D I am downloading it now, many thanks for the suggestion Galactica!

All of this feedback is really helpful! I'm learning a lot just reading this thread and doing a bunch of online research. I also went to my local board game place last night and had one of their dudes teach me the basics. I literally just asked constant questions for two hours, haha! Fun fact: apparently back in the day MTG was broadcast on ESPN 2! Who knew!

This is a totally random question, but do any of you play Magic: The Gathering? I've scored an interview with Wizards of the Coast for a job in event management, where I would essentially be doing the logistics and event planning for MTG tournaments internationally. However, I'm new to trading card games in general and haven't played MTG before. I do have a lot of experience planning large scale events and am generally pretty nerd-tastic so I feel like it wouldn't be hard for me to get into it.

I'd love to know what the appeal of the game is and what people like/dislike about it or other trading card games. And if you have any experience going to trading card game tournaments, please share! And no worries if you don't play MTG (I don't either) - we can be clueless together!

Oh man, these are crazy questions. I'm glad I haven't had some of the ones listed in the thread though, I have no idea what animal I would send in my place to a job interview, lol. Maybe I would...teach a parrot to represent me or something, haha.
The craziest one I've been asked is: what superpower I would choose to have. I don't remember what I said, probably flight or something.

Ooh, these are gorgeous! I think I'm request #5 in this thread if I've followed everything right... Would you be willing to make one for me of Pineapple Cupcake? My reference sheet should be linked in my signature. Thank you!!

I live in a pretty yuppie urban area, but around here you can make a decent living as a dog walker or pet sitter. Dog walking is usually steady because clients tend to buy a couple walks a week with the same person. We also have a ton of doggy daycare type businesses where people drop their dogs off for the day to get walked and cared for. Both jobs just require that you have knowledge of dogs, no special training although you can get some certifications if necessary (pet first aid and things like that).

So, I am no good at customs but I totally want this swap to happen because I want to see the results!  :thumb: Here's some random ideas for y'all who are awesome customizers:

-I always thought it was super lonely to just have the G1 christmas pony (well, two I guess with baby stocking). G3 has so many holiday ponies, it would be cool to see some other holiday ponies in G1, like an Easter themed pony or a Halloween pony or even like a 4th of July pony or a Thanksgiving pony…
-I also love seeing people's sweets-themed customs - are there any chocolate themed ponies in G1? Maybe a chocolate themed Sundae Best pony addition? Like "Rocky Road" or "Chocolate Fudge Swirl" or something would be fun.
-Love the idea of the baby Tafs - somebody make a baby Munchy!!
-What about an addition to the Slumber Party ponies? You could kind of use any pose pony since they are so varied. Maybe like "Comfy PJs" pony or "Slippers" or  "Pillow Fort" or something.
-G3 also has a lot of tropical flower ponies which are just lovely. Maybe riff on that and add one to the Tropical ponies set? Like "hibiscus" or "plumeria". Or, you could do a sunset themed pony to add to the Tropical ponies, that could be lots of fun colors.
-Another addition to the carousel ponies would be a fun repaint!
-For the Sun Shine ponies, what about one called "Tidepool" that has urchins and little crabs or tiny octopi or something?
-Maybe a Sweetberry pony like "Marionberry Pancakes" - I just think there should be a pony with a pancake symbol, hee hee. I think a blackberry cupcake one would be really cute. Or maybe a boy Sweetberry pony called "Huckleberry" - Huck for short!
-You could always do a new princess in somebody's favorite colors as well.
-UK had some interesting series as well, like the Romance ponies. Maybe "first date?" No idea how you would represent that as a cutie mark but…
-There's also the UK School time ponies - it'd be cool to see like "Science Time" or  "History Time" or something.
As I recall there's a thread floating around too with a whole bunch of awesome boy pony ideas that were related to weather?
Anyhoooooo  :whistle: just some ideas to get people's creative brains going!  ^^;
