The Dollhouse / Disney Limited Edition Rapunzel Brag! (pic heavy)
« on: July 29, 2015, 09:22:54 PM »
Ok, I just realised that I never posted any pictures of my limited edition Rapunzel! I was so caught up about it on Instagram and completely forgot to post on the arena

So anyway, I found this seller on eBay who was trying to sell his Rapunzel but his listing never sold. So I contacted him a while after his listing ended and asked if she was still available. Luckily for me, she was   and I managed to get her at a decent price too! Apparently now she is selling for about 2-3 times more than what I paid  :dropjaw: :ack: So anyway, after working out a payment plan and paying her off over about 5 months, I finally got her in the mail!!! And omg, she is absolutely stunning!

I have a few other limited edition dolls that I stack up on my shelf (and you'll just see their heads peaking out) but Rapunzel has always been my favourite disney princess so she gets the top spot on my shelf

Right before we get onto the pictures, I also just wanted to mention that I also got the Live Action Cinderella limited edition doll but she hadn't arrived then so it's only Punzie in these pics

My new baby  :cheer:

Hi everyone! Not sure if this is the right place to post this since this is a wanted post but still off topic. But anyway, I'm looking for the disney store limited edition rapunzel doll. The 1 in 5000 doll wearing the purple dress. I know she is uncommon, but if anyone is willing to sell one, I would be very interested. PM me if anyone is selling :) Thank you! :lovey:

Congrats!!!  :frolic: And no, I'm pretty sure Locket wasn't en exclusive pony. I'm not too good on the years but I'm pretty sure she's from the second year of twinkle eyed ponies :)

Price Check Archives / Re: PC: MOC G1 Seashell?
« on: October 25, 2014, 06:45:04 PM »
As ponycake mentions the yellow bubble is the big issue with her and the final price will depend on how much the bubble has yellowed. She and Bubbles do tend to do well in price however and the yellowing is common on the first couple of years of MOCs.

I would agree with the $50-60 if her bubble is yellowed - lower if its very bad, higher if its much more minor of course :)

Congrats on owning her!

Thank you Hathorcat! The yellowing is pretty bad. It's a dark yellow :( But thanks for letting me know :)

haha my sister and I were the first ones to get there and I was the first person in the country to stuff my AJ! Sadly, there was a man there who bought the skins so I was disappointed :( I wanted to be the first to buy and stuff... But I guess being first to stuff works too :)

All in all considering that these two girls went everywhere with me, and I mean everywhere: to bed at night, to every bath, to grandma's, to the back yard, to the park, to the sandbox, to the beach... etc (not to mention my faulty childhood memory that decided Snuzzle was once white which led to cleaning her with every cleaning solution I could get my hands on as a little girl with thankfully no success) I think they are in amazing shape.

This is so sweet! It's a good thing Snuzzle doesn't have any tail rust from you cleaning her so often haha. Pony collecting must have been your destiny!

Shy pose apple jack was the first pony I was given. Here I am in Bodnant Garden holding her when I was about 5 year old.

Too cute! I wish I had taken some pictures with my ponies when I was little... I never liked the camera when I was little... (I still hate taking pics lol!)

Posey is the first pony I got when it came to replacing my childhood herd; she needs a defrizz and de-smooze but she's still my favourite. I think she wears the white hair and flowers well though (also I'm not keen to attempt repinking in case it goes awry!)

Wow, she does actually suit her white hair very well :D Love your Posey! They should have been made in variants with white hair cuz that is just gorgeous  :lovey:

My first ponies were probably G1 Cotton Candy and SS Truly, passed down to me by TwistedRiver. No pics, unfortunately. Cotton Candy currently needs some TLC and neither are on display right now. I also had a plush Blossom, but it's currently lost in the wasp infested garage. *cries*

Tiffany, Tropical Breeze, Kingsley and baby Sun Shower were my other ones given to me by my sis.

Oh no! Is your plush Blossom ok? You should get her out, she would be so terrified amongst the wasps on her own :wail:

[merging with existing thread ~ Kiwi]

Well, I just made this post because I have been feeling rather nostalgic lately  :P I distinctly remember only having 2 ponies when I was a kid. My first pony was G3 Periwinkle. I remember going to toys r us and picking her out  :cheer: In first or second grade, I gave her to my best friend for her birthday and I regretted it about a week later  Since I started recollecting ponies, I had been trying to find this "white pony with blue hair and a gem as her cutie mark".

So... While I was on ebay last year, I came across a seller who had tons of g3 MIBs and saw this pony who looked rather familiar... And I recognised her as my first pony! I had never remembered her name but I always remembered that it was some kind of flower. So after I got her MIB, I wanted to have a loose version of her so that I could play with her (I don't care how old I am, playing with ponies is very relaxing  ) and after a few weeks of searching, I found one that was still extremely white with amazing hair. So here they are together! My very first pony, Periwinkle  :flow: :hearts:

If you have pictures of the first pony you got as a kid or as an adult/collector, I'd really love to see them :) Let's make this a "nostalgic" thread! hahaha

Off Topic / Re: Anyone done anything silly lately
« on: October 24, 2014, 11:50:43 PM »
Well, then last week i woke up after 10 and freaked out! I turned the light on and started getting dressed for work and Cole woke up and said, Honey its Wednesday night. Were off tonight, now go back to sleep or go out in the living room" LOL i thought I was late for work and forgot what day it was! xD
[/quote]

Lol there was one week that I was so swamped with college assignments that I only had about 3 hours of sleep each night of that week. On the Thursday when I got home, I took a nap and didn't realise that I had slept for so long! When I woke up, the sky was a little dark it said "7:30" and I started panicking because I thought I had slept through the night missed my morning bus (I have early classes on Friday and the bus comes at 7:44am PRECISELY). I quickly changed out of my PJ's only to realise a minute later that it was 7:30PM not AM HAHAHA!

Super wow!

Huuge congrats! They both look awsome and really good.  :cheer:

Haha thank you!  :lovey: :good:

They pop up occasionally on Ebay, almost always yellowed like yours is. I didn't pay as much attention because I won't buy yellowed cards, but I feel like it's generally been about $60-$70? Which is a high price for a yellowed one but people really want them moc so they'll pay that.

Thank you :) I haven't seen any on ebay so I wasn't sure what to expect.
