Pony Corral / Re: Who or what has brought you to the darkside
« on: January 02, 2017, 08:54:40 PM »
Started in 83 with blossom to 88. I thought I was too old for collecting ponies, but still played with them. Started to collect porcelain horses. 90 Started riding real horses, started owning real horses in 96.

2011 wanted to decorate the baby nursery with MLP but couldn't find anything. Sister in law bought a set of ponies for my daughter so I decided to collect 1 of each G4 character for her. Started going to thrift stores and buying G3`s for her as well.

Found a baby moon dancer and a bait princess royal pink at a value village and haven't stopped since.

Have an army G1-G4 including the G1 apple delight family and the G4 apple family.

Need a baby AJ, a G2 Brights Bramley.

Recently traded scarlet moon for a mexican AJ. Yay!

Waiting for a qwiky custom AJ to arrive.

For the G4 AJ family blind bags, Which ponies are legitimate apple family?
How many blind bag size AJ variants are there?
How many brushable 3" G4 variants are there? Can you list them? Including different eye variations?
How many different nirvana AJ`s?

My RR has lovely soft silky mane. But her tail isn't as good quality, its dry and gritty feeling.
I am very disappointed that Hasbro has cut back the manes to 3 rows instead of 4 :(
What is the little hole in the hat for?
I wish they had made the second shirt her show outfit since its super cute.

They look great.
Does the black horse have white hooves in real life? and does the brown horse have black hooves IRL? Usually if a horse has white socks the hooves are tan/white. Usually black horses have black hooves, unless they are "coronet" socks?
(Not trying to criticise, just wondering)

You are probably better off sending it to a dry cleaners. Down feathers can poke through the material and become loose in the washer in a normal washing machine. It doesn't take very many loose feathers to clog the filters in a washing machine and break it.
The dry cleaning is much cheaper than buying a new washing machine.  Just make sure its a reputable cleaners that has experience with down.
If you do decide to wash it yourself, take it to a Laundromat so you don't break your own machine.

Trader & Shipping Support / Re: What is going on here?

Maybe its cheaper because she will be shipping them in a single package instead of 6 separate packages?
As for the difference between shipping prices from different sellers, could it be the difference between sending with or without tracking and the type of insurance? If I ship overseas with tracking it costs more than double than to ship without tracking.

I have no idea what shipping is like over there but here shipping prices are ridiculous.
It cost ~ $12CAD to send one G4 pony. But if I ship 2 G4 together its ~$13CAD

I have never heard of anyone making 6 different packages for 6 Ponies from the same seller. No one does that.

I just never experienced shipping from the UK to be that high.

Actually there are people who refuse to combine shipping on multiple items. But what I meant is explained better by Ringlets.
The ponies you won were all listed separately so that different buyers could have bought them, and they would have to have had their own shipping costs listed on there in case that happened. Because you bought them all, the seller can ship in one parcel instead so that is why she can lower the shipping cost  :awake:
