Don't mind me being totally off topic but love that Delorean time machine photobombing in the corner!

Impressive collection of CDs too, happen to have a total of how many you have?

Thanks Sapphire Rain and Khoufu. I still want to turn one of these ponies awaiting colour into a G3...

(Haha, wow, it's a blast from the past seeing my 'pony in a stocking' adoptable again.)

I had told myself I was going to colour in at least one of those ponies this weekend. Well, I didn't, but did some more pony doodling. :P The pencil one I drew really small at the bottom of the page, so don't feel inclined to ink/colour it, but thinking about fixing up the pose/hair and painting one digitally again.

How exciting to hear there are more to come. :D Hopefully now that they are confirmed for other stores in the States and Europe, Canada (and the rest of the world, naturally, ponies for all) will be on the radar too!

I'm genuinely curious what would happen if I tossed in some soil and seeds. MLP chia plant/flower pot! xD

Haha!

Unfortunately I think that would lead to some issues due to water.

I am thinking the same. Even if it wasn't mold, I just feel like the soil and water would do more harm than fun.

Thank you Moonbreeze and Griffin. ^^

A couple more weekend doodles that need colour. There are too many ponies to choose from.

This is actually the second Tiffany to fall in my hands, I traded for one with both symbols with the lovely BethMcBeth a couple years back. So definitely not trying to keep her mint, so to speak, but just don't want a poor pony stuck with a hole in her flank for all time. I thought it could lead to a neat discussion.

Oh, using a brooch or fancy button is a lovely idea It would really go with the the regal feel of the G1 Princesses, and a good way to conceal that hole!

Mass produced replacements would be awesome, albeit, I feel like it would be a LOT of work and frankly pretty pricey considering all the pieces needed (the inside holder and screw, the silver base, plus painted details, six small gems, one large gem). Though, I would be happy to donate her intact symbol to the cause.

I'm genuinely curious what would happen if I tossed in some soil and seeds. MLP chia plant/flower pot! xD

Pony Corral / Restoring 3D Symbols.

What would you do if your pony has a missing 3D symbol? Leave it alone? Hide it with ponywear? Create a replica? Craft something unique? What material would you even default to?

I don't know how it is for every 3D pony, but I know for a fact the G1 princesses (or at least Tiffany, but I imagine they are all the same) have a gaping hole in their flank, and the one I rescued seems kind of sad that way. Conveniently, the part that used to hold her gem is loose inside the pony (not the silver teardrop, just this blue/grey base with a screw attached, so I have SOMETHING to work with if I feel like ripping her neck seal. But yeah, it got me thinking about how you all tackle the issue of a pony missing a symbol; especially when painting is clearly not an option.

I don't have a picture of my girl at the moment, I'll try to take some eventually, but I am mostly curious in hearing your stories than seeking advice on what I should do.

Pony Corral / Re: MLP: The Movie Discussion Thread
« on: January 10, 2018, 07:59:55 PM »
Late to the party, but I ended up seeing the movie in theatres back in October. I wasn't intending to, but my friend said she wanted to see it so I tagged along. I'm not that interested in the newer seasons, but I thought the movie was pretty fun. I really liked the new characters a lot, I can't decide if I like Capper, the pirates, or Skystar/Novo more, they all were likeable in my opinion. Also, Really loved the animation style.

My one nitpick... (in spoiler just in case people were waiting for the DVD/bluray release)

Spoiler
Was when Twilight called Pinkie a useless friend (or something to that effect). It just felt really out of place to me. I mean, there was build up with how Twi was on guard and anti new friends throughout the whole adventure, while the rest of the party were being their usual 'everybody is a friend' selves (so why didn't they grow horns/wings yet??? They are better at friendship than the Princess of Friendship after all). Even still, blowing up on Pinkie the way she did just seemed out of character.

Also on that note, I kind of wish they let Applejack and/or Fluttershy have that argument with Twilight instead of Pinkie so they had purpose in the movie instead of being background characters.

Off Topic / Re: Coloring Books?
« on: January 08, 2018, 09:17:58 PM »
Bekuno- Feel like sharing said progress you made on the first one??? It looks SO pretty!

When I (used to) babysit, I'm always happy to have colouring time and claim a page to colour myself. It's pretty fun to return to crayons and crayola markers, though I'm not very successful with shading with those mediums.

Otherwise, I have two adult colouring books myself, one with patterned animals I got in a secret santa that I've so far only coloured in one and a half pages...about two years ago.  ^^; Then Charmer sent me an MLP one as a prize for the 12 Days contest that I find too pretty to ruin with my mediocre traditional colouring skills. Adult colouring books are a lot more intimidating than children's ones to me I guess.

Thanks so much for the comments everyone. I've truly missed drawing ponies (and the arena too, I haven't posted in too long).

I've been cracking away at some more doodles. In debate of who I want to turn the Pegasus into (thinking something G3 because I haven't coloured one in awhile...or G2 even though there aren't any 'real' pegasi in that gen). I'm really liking the new Applejack concept for G5, and had to doodle her too.

Ah shoot, I missed the voting period for both of these, looks like it would have been a really tough choice anyway. Amazing work everyone, and congrats to the winners in both categories!

Oh, thank you so much Cadence. I'm in Ontario too, so that helps immensely.

I wouldn't expect nor ask an ebay user to mark an item as a gift, so I'd be looking at quite the extra charge. I'm thinking it would be much more practical to have it sent to my brother in the States (where I'm under the impression customs fees are practically non-existent) and wait the six to eleven months for him to come visit.

I appreciate you taking the time to explain things with such detail. Thank you! :)

Interested in commissioning maybe?

I could use some extra cash to buy new art supplies and save for a new computer (one that can actually handle running photoshop  ^^;). I'm happy to draw non pony things as well (pets/animals/OCs/Pokemon/etc.) but may run a different price depending on what so we can discuss if you're interested.

Traditional (will be fairly small size about the size of a G4 pony/G1 baby--3" maybe a little bigger or smaller? I can intentionally draw it the size of a card to fit into a card holder as per example in below spoiler) Also, as of now it will be drawn on standard printing paper, as cardstock is one of the things I'd need to buy....)-$5
+Can also be mailed to you for cost of shipping and standard letter/card envelope (so should be fairly cheap)

Digital Hasbro Pony (Any gen)-$10
Digital OC Pony-$20
+Simple Background (as per puppy example)-$??? Dependent on complexity

Thanks for looking.  :grouphug:

What an unexpected surprise, they look so cute. If these do come to Canada, I will need to get at least one.
