Thank you so much everyone! There she is. Kaelynn did a fantastic job combining some of my likes to create this pony! I love the lily-of-the-valley theme and the beautiful combination of the different greens. And the cake looks good enough to eat!
I was wondering, did you use UV cure gloss on her eyes? They're so smooth and glossy and gorgeous!
Griffin, I'm soooo glad you love her! I really struggled with the feeling that I hadn't done enough on her but I didn't want to go too far with her either! And yes, I used UV resin on her eyes! I have a huge bottle of Triple Thick glaze which is what I've always used in the past but the last time I used it it dried all streaky and white so in a pinch I used the UV resin to try to fix those eyes and I loved the effect. So now I'm using it all all my ponies! It cures so hard and glossy.

First off I have to say that I had the absolute worst time coming up with a design! I have no idea why, but I'd come up with an idea, start to implement it and then lose interest. The same thing was happening with other ponies at the same time so I think it was a "me" problem rather than a theme issue! Anyways, since Griffin's birthday is in May I finally came up with the idea of a green lily of the valley pony since Griffin said she liked green and lily of the valley is the birthflower for May. Griffin also mentioned that she liked the asthetic of Red Velvet cake so I sculpted a little piece of red velvet cake with a tiny raspberry on top out of polymer clay for the pony to be holding and topped off the design with a "Happy Birthday" balloon sculpted from Ultralight clay and suspended by a thin wire. Oh and she is rehaired in Poison Ivy, Envy and Starlight. Here she is! visitors can't see pics , please register or loginvisitors can't see pics , please register or loginvisitors can't see pics , please register or loginI had meant to curl her hair too but I forgot to do it before attaching the balloon and then I couldn't figure out how to do it without damaging the wire holding up the balloon! Ah well, Griffin says she likes her so that's all that matters!

Not usually, though I now take the time to check rarity of ponies BEFORE prepping them as baits. When I first started customizing about 10 years or so ago I posted a WIP of something and someone sent me a private message scolding me for baiting that pony since she wasn't common. I rarely post pics of WIPs now until after the original pony is unidentifiable because of that, unless the pony is very obviously baity...ie. chewed, stained, bald, etc. and even then I'm cautious. Ultimately though the pony is yours and it's your decision what to do with it.

Hi all! I’ve had this girl mostly done for the better part of 6 months, she just needed her eyes finished. I finally got off my butt and finished her and I couldn’t be happier with her! When I got her she had a severe haircut and quite a bit of scratching/wear to symbols and eyes, but her body was still remarkably white and unstained. So I redid her symbols and eyes with metallic paints and rehaired her in metallic sky blue, metallic shimmer wild berry and metallic plum from the Doll Planet. I also added a tiny Swarovski crystal in the March birthstone Aquamarine to the centre of her forehead. What do you guys think? visitors can't see pics , please register or loginvisitors can't see pics , please register or loginvisitors can't see pics , please register or loginvisitors can't see pics , please register or loginvisitors can't see pics , please register or login

The hot water idea is awesome! I’ll definitely be giving it a try. Painting over top isn’t an option unfortunately because the original paint job was very thick, streaky and horrendous! Thanks all!

I use cotton balls and acetone lol.
Well if no one has any better ideas that’s what I’ll be doing!

So I've been looking at some of my unfinished customs from about 14 years ago when I first started customizing and I think I want to strip some of the paint jobs to start over, either because the paint job got damaged over the years or because it was just horribly awful to begin with! I've been wondering the best way to remove the paint and I'm wondering what other customizers do. I usually use a cotton ball or qtip soaked in acetone to remove small areas of paint but it seems like it would be a pain (not to mention messy!) to do that to an entire pony. Thanks in advance for any suggestions!

Hi all! I'm a customizer rather than a collector so I'm not in this forum often but I happened to find this group of ponies and accessories on Facebook Marketplace for a mere $10 so I had to snatch them up! visitors can't see pics , please register or loginEveryone is in fairly good condition though the So Soft Sundance is quite stained and grimy. As I said I'm not really a collector so I have no idea if any of these are rare or sought after but if anyone is interested in any of it please send me a pm! Otherwise I'm thinking of trying to restore them and sell them on Ebay or some such. Thanks for looking!
