Pony Corral / Re: Stamper petites?

Thank you all for your replies and Mirnyj for the link!

I never saw them before and was quite shocked when I saw for how much that listing went... :O
My thoughts exactly -  I was watching the listing at the time. They're pretty cool, though. I guess someone really wanted them.

More often than not, nirvana people go crazy over the "vanilla scent" of Greek ponies. To me, they reek of disintegrating poor quality vinyl… in my childhood, a store selling cheapo plastic wares smelled the same.

Plus, baby ponies are not cute.

Off Topic / Re: Tips for Inking with a Nib Pen?
« on: January 25, 2015, 02:14:21 AM »
Amateur comic artist with a fondness for crow quill nibs here. (FYI, I normally use Joseph Gilott's Crow Quill #659, Zebra crow quill pen #1650 and black Pelikan ink.) It's hard to say what exactly is going wrong as I'm not familiar with your tools, but you've already got some great advice here. :) Personally, I like to kill the oil or wax coating with fire. Just burn the nib in a candle flame or something. I concur with Griffin on the importance of keeping the nib clean. I always keep a cup of water and a household towel within my reach in case I need to rinse the nib while working. Any ink that contains shellac may tend to block the nib and must be cleaned carefully. Finally, getting the knack of it normally takes some time and practice.

Anyone know anything about these? (link to a long closed ebay auction.) The seller concludes they're fake, the Petite Pocket lists them as "Euro exclusives."

Price Check Archives / Re: Rama Llama's brush- What's it worth?
« on: October 24, 2014, 01:16:33 PM »
Hard to say about the brush as it hardly ever comes up for sale without the llama. I believe the surest way to get him (to me, Rama's a he; MOTWYW) with accessories is to buy one MIP (as I did). They pop up MIP more often than one would think: lately, I've come across a llama or three per year. I've mostly seen him sell for $200-250 in package, $150ish mint and complete and $60-100 loose without accessories according to my notes. I'm not sure if this translates to $50 for the brush, though. My guess is that t's likely to depend on who's buying.

Off Topic / Re: Do you pay attention to your dreams?
« on: September 26, 2014, 11:20:29 PM »
I'm trying to be a lucid dreamer, but everytime I become lucid, it's only for a few seconds... then I wake up or continue my dream without the lucid state. How do you do that?

I'm afraid I cannot give you any easy instructions... I've always remembered my dreams in great detail and frequently became lucid without trying, but the dream diary has been a great help. I would make meticulous notes and also draw what I had seen and started to become more aware of my dream surroundings that way. Little by little, I would spot something interesting or notice that something was really off in a normal dream and become lucid. Memorizing details also helped me remain in the lucid state for longer periods of time, though I can wake myself up as well if I want to (super helpful with nightmares).

She's been repeatedly PCd at $30 in the past; I'd be prepared to pay a tad more for one with original curl, but I'm a sucker for factory curl anyway. I recently sold one with similar rubs, a few marks and no curls for 23 €.

I have mixed feelings about this one. In a loose sense, I do pay a lot of attention to my dreams. I've kept a dream diary for years, and used to be a skillful lucid dreamer. I've neglected it since, but dreams have offered me inspiration, good stories and beautiful places to be along the years. Help with real-life decisions? Not as far as I can recall. I've even had dreams telling me to kill myself. Oh well, I'm still alive and do not intend to change that.

^ That's really cool. I'm kind of interested in airbrushing but it seems like such a fuss. I'm glad to see a "normal" hobbyist using one.

Is that the Copic airbrush system? I'm not a Copic person but I do like the airbrushed look. Too bad "real" airbrushes are rather technical and make a mess...

1. Gender and age range (9 or under, 10-14,16-19,20-29,30-34,35-39,40-44,45 or over) Female, 20-29
2. Do you customize ponies? No
If yes- what year did you start?
How many do you think you have made? I've made one (1) in around 2005 for a school art project.
Do you make them to- keep/gift(includes swaps) or sale or both?
3. Are you a member to any other PONY specific forum/websites Yes
which ones? I'm active on the Finnish collectors' forum Paratiisikartano (Paradise Estate). I technically have an account on the MLPTP but I don't really use it.

3.5 Do you collect My Little Pony Toys, Merchandise or collectibles? (as is state no modifying) Yes, mainly G1 toys.
Do you store them or display them? Currently some of my ponies are in storage because I have no room for them all, but I prefer to display them.

4. Do you watch My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic? No
5. Do you consider yourself a Brony or Pegasister? No
6. Have you watched the movie"Bronies: The Extremely Unexpected Adult Fans of My Little Pony" Directed by Laurent Malaquais No
your thought- Good or bad portrait of Bronies?
7. Have you watched or read anything else related to bronies, collecting or customizing ponies. Whenever the hobby gets coverage in the Finnish media, I usually come across it.
which ones? did you think it was portrayed in good or bad way? As one might expect, the fact that FiM has male fans seemed to draw a lot of attention at one point. While the portrayal in itself was not negative, the emphasis on gender seemed strange to me. The "transformation" of the pony toys from G1 to EqG has been lamented over. Portrayals of the collecting hobby are usually neutral or positive, but not always perfectly informed. Not long ago, the artist Mari Kasurinen was praised for her customs of pop culture icons. That's all I can think of off the top of my head...
8. Have you ever visited any PONY specific convention? No
Which ones? - (I will include Comic-Com as long as you wonder around the Hasbro site a little)
Did you dress up as a pony based character? (not import and you don't have to answer, personally just curious)

Could you be a bit more specific on what you mean by more specific? :P Googling for NC Peachy (Spanish), these photos were among what I found. The pony in question does look a little off to me, and certainly not like the Spaniards I've seen. Maybe with an Italian head and... weird hair that does not look like Italian Peachy hair. The body has a casting defect that could be Italian to me, but no country stamp, and the symbols don't match what I've seen on Italian ladies. I'm not an expert on Peachy variants and am hoping someone will enlighten me.

Furthermore, is Spanish NC Peachy's hair supposed to be fading pink?

i) Could I have a PC for NC (Spanish) Peachy?

ii) On a loosely related note, what on earth is this? (not my photo)
