here eyes look great to me! typical argie eyes, dont retouch!
her hair looks good too
do you have more pics of her all together?

Her mane was really frizzy, and had a streak on one side of what looked like rust. I'm not sure what it was, to be honest. She also had tail rust. :c
Whitening toothpaste will get that out if you scrub with it. Most people are against rehairing them if it can be avoided because it decreases the value of the pony, and it can be really hard to find one with good hair. In the end of course it's your decision, but all the things you mentioned are repairable.  ^.^

I'm just going to rehair her, since I'm going for aesthetics over worth.

but you can remove the frizzyness with water and a flat iron. :) And the rust is easely removable as well if you know how to do it. I think it's more fun to own a pony thats 100% original, especially when it is a treasure like this  argie posey is a adorable pony! (and super hard to find in this good condition! I envy you! I sold my own a couple of years ago as she had very scratched symbols.)

And you will have less work with defrizzing her back to full glory then what you would have had with rehairing her (and its cheaper to, as you don't need to buy new hair).

I understand that collectors want to do a rehair when the hair is very badly cut, but if that isn't the case it is really worth trying to restore her back with less drastic methods. :)

I don't own a flat iron, so just spending a few bucks on a good hair match is considerably easier for me!

I'm almost ready! Gimmie a few more days....omg someone drag me away from the computer and the ponies. :yikes:

*drags Maddy*

You need to get well, lady! That will make pony buying avoidance a lot easier.

Good luck Emerald Eyes! You can do it!  :cheer:

Teresat - those are all great ideas! Definitely keeping yourself busy is a good idea. And we should all share progress. I am on day 2 as well, so far it's okay but I haven't spotted anything I MUST BUY yet, so...

thank you ;3;

My boyfriend's a lover of all things aquatic, and a brony.

So I *need* her!

After making my last purchase for the month, I'm quitting for 30 days. I need to focus on cleaning my current G1s and sending off a few G4 to some lucky collectors and customizers.

This is going to be so hard I'm not sure what to do.  :yikes:

I bought her off of eBay, and I *LOVE* her! But...she's got problems. Tail rust, pinpoint mold, fading mark, paint chipping from eyes, and her previous owners were smokers!

I know I can fix most of this stuff, but she's my first G1 to restore, so I'm deathly afraid of messing her up! >:

  • What's good way to get rid of pinpoint mold?
  • What's a good haircolor match for her?

Hi! I'm terrible at these, so I'll try to make this...quick.

I'm a newbie at customizing G4s, but here's my gallery of them so far: http://rayne-is-butts.deviantart.com/gallery/31997209

The main MLP forum I'm active is in the Reddit MLPLounge (I also give away a lot of toys there!), so if there are any Plizards here.....this is IrisIllych.

Due to collecting G4s, I've started collecting (mostly collectors pose) G1s! I also have two G2s, but they're all I plan to own from that line.
