Pony Corral / Re: New 35th Anniversary Collector Ponies Spotted! Pics!
« on: January 07, 2018, 09:08:26 AM »
I checked around at my local targets today and struck out, even though the employees said it looked like there were 6 on floor according to the stock.  So frustrating!  One helpful employee did talk about them being for an endcap that hadn't be set yet, and said I might have better luck once it's set up.  Here's hoping!

:lovey:  I need to go to check target!  I didn't realize hasbro was doing another classic release. I wasn't interested in the 25th anniversary ponies at the time, so this is a wonderful surprise!

Pony Corral / Re: Question about G4 Feathermay
« on: December 16, 2017, 09:41:45 AM »
I remember when I got my Feathermay when she just got to stores and she had head-body mismatch.  I ended up getting rid of her later because her head was such a drastically warmer lighter purple then her body.
Now, I can't say for sure because it has been a while, but I never saw a Feathermay who didn't have some kind of mismatch.

All sold!
Hi,
I'm clearing out the last of my G4 brushables after having unearthed them from storage!  Only Plumsweet appears to have any flaws, otherwise they have nice hair (no apparent frizz, no hair cuts) and no paint smears.
I am willing to ship international and I ship within a couple days of receiving payment, feel free to pm me for shipping quotes or for any other questions!

Plumsweet $15 (has two marks next to her left ear, and a piece of hair sticking out from her neck plug.

Pony Corral / Re: Coupons Ready? Michaels Arts Crafts Has MLP...Section?

I'm just going to chime in as a former Michael's employee, but a lot of the brand toys were marked as exempt from coupons in the system.
Here's hoping MLP does not have that designation, I'd definitely stock up on baby seaponies then!

Nice pic, Nodivision!  He looks so at home in nature, even for being staged!  I kind of want to pick up one of those mats now, it would definitely give my photos more variety without having to go outside.

Anyways, a shocking turn of events lead to me getting one of my grails!  Dearmine nocturne!

The Dollhouse / Re: BDJ Freyr/freya cat help
« on: May 30, 2017, 06:10:29 PM »
Hujoo dolls are pretty much exclusively sold through junkyspot, whether through their website or other places such as their ebay store.

Hujoo dolls are made from Abs plastic, and as such are more mass-produced than resin dolls, so custom orders are a lot less of a thing with them.  Freyr and freya dolls are both strung, so for sure you can swap the heads. The only problem I could see there is freya's head might need to be modded a little it freyr's neck is thicker.

As far as ordering as (mixed head and body) instead of buying both dolls, it never hurts to ask.  The guy who runs junkyspot is pretty friendly if I remember right.

I am sure that freyr was released in white, they release colors in batches for the kitties and when they sell out they are sold out.  He may come up again in white, once again I feel that would be a good question to send to junkyspot to see if that might be a thing anytime soon.

I hope that helps  :)

Spoiler
I first saw her on mobile, so I didn't get to see all the details... but she looks stunning now that I'm on PC! :)

What did you use to dye her? Did the two hybrid portions take the dye fairly equally or was it tricky?

(Just curious, I have no plans for dying any dolls anytime soon, but it's good to know in advance what other folks have tried/had success doing.)
I used rit dyemore, and it's definitely what I would recommend! The different company resins did dye at a different rate (resinsoul took the dye slower).  Rit dyemore is potent but not too much so you have time to even out each part. That means I just held those pieces in the dye a little longer and I got the body to match the head. This in stark contrast to the other disperse dye I've tried, Idye poly.  Idye poly is stinkier and also extremely potent (one part for 5 seconds in a purple was bright!) I'd only recomend it if you want a super bright neon color.

A couple notes too for anyone who anyone wants to take a try at this-
I'd recomend a very slight all over sanding/buffing or swipe with acetone so the parts take the dye as evenly as possible, otherwise it can turn out a bit uneven and the sanding marks from the company will definitely take the dye faster.

If you want to dye a doll, going for a dark dark color is a lot more forgiving than a lighter color for an even tone.  My sheep centaur is a deep purple, and before I started painting it was super even amazingly enough.  Much better than when I did so in the past with a lighter purple on a different doll.

The soom dolls have some of the cutest animal legs I've seen!  I always keep wishing that I could figure out a project to work them into.  Eh, I don't need more projects, even though I just finished my space sheep   She's a dear mine/resinsoul hybrid I dyed and painted.

Nice job on the outfit, Uninu!  I wish I was that talented with sewing!

Spoiler
I can imagine!  Maybe one day.
Anyways, I decided to snap a photo of one of my new dolls.  I ended up with an unintentional hybrid of a Doll chateau Katherine with their B-07 body.  She's still blank, I'm still not sure what I'm going to do with her.  I was going to turn her into a sphinx, but I don't know quite how much modding I want to do besides giving her tail back to her.

How interesting. Is she available in other resin colors as well? LOVE the two different eye colors.
Thank you!  I always wanted to give a doll heterochromia and she seemed like just the candidate.  As for resin color, Katherine and her sister sculpt madeline were both event dolls from last year so second hand you'll see white/pink/yellow. They do, however, seem to be available for order on denver doll emporium, so I bet they could be ordered in doll chateau's normal range of human skin tones along with grey and mint green.

Beautiful pics as always

Clawdia and Nefera are still available.  I'd say their hair is pretty thick, just by nature of being a yarn reroot, although clawdia is a little thin in the back, which I can take care of before she is sold if you want :)
As for the on hold dolls, if they become available again I will let you know.
