Does anyone have the link to the DPCI checker for the Scary Tales dolls? I've never seen them around here.  What is their official release date?
They should be out now... I know my Target had a tag for them the last I went (but nothing on the self), and they are pretty good to sticking to their 'dates'

http://sites.target.com/site/en/spot/mobile_fiats.jsp?tcin=&dpci=086-02-0564

There's the checker already plugged in with the DPCI number for them.

they are being stocked and then sold within a day of being stocked in my area....same apparently with Rochelle- I managed to snag her today before she sold out- one for me and one for my daughter, yay!

In the spirit of sharing- one of my early customs that I'm still proud of- although I look at it and know how I could knock those roses out of the park now!  ;)

and one of my very last customs- unless I get myself in gear and actually do something with all the supplies sitting around me...complete airbrushed repaint with a sculpted horn (styling size)

These two are actually two that I made that I miss the most...looking back :)  and both of them (well if Clover had a hair cut) I could sort of see Hasbro producing :)

aha- that might be the real reason I couldn't find the reference....there were too many to narrow down.  how long has it been out of stock?    How in the world will I determine a fair way to distribute the packets (yes, plural- I have a few) I have?  I don't want to cause a pony hair riot!

(no reason for it to sit unused in my bin!)

After trying (Unsuccessfully) to search for this...I'm beginning to think I dreamed it up...but I located my rather surprisingly huge stash of pony hair and seem to remember someone looking for wysteria colored pony hair for rehairing...or do I???  If so, please let me know?

:)

My daughter is seven...and started playing with MH when she was six.  I had a lot more concerns about what she was learning from watching iCarly and Victorious and the like which are played at all hours of the morning and daytime and seem to have become more and more about dating and teen relationships (which to her credit, usually make her go "eeeww!") than I have ever had about these dolls.

OMG...I had thought about mentioning this EXACT same thing.

And don't forget, in the case of Sam, the show teaches you that you can get what you want by beating people up. That's always a plus! ;)

omg, I had forgotten how much Sam makes me wince as I laugh.....or sometimes just wince.  She actually sometimes reminds me of my daughter...which makes me wince all the more >.<  (MH fan that takes 5 days a week of both karate and dance...yep, that's my girl! lol)

darn these dolls.  I have patterns on their way in the mail to me- time to dust off the sewing machine (ok, it isn't actually gathering any dust- it's just been sewing human sized clothes and not doll clothes for the past four years) and get my doll clothes sewing juju flowing again.

I bought dress patterns for Mh dolls too yesterday XD :D

seller from etsy?  if so, she had a good day yesterday

haha yes XD 6 or so patterns in one XD Can't wait to start sew

Me either- I had a go through my old material from my My Child sewing days...and omg there are some good possibilities in there!

have any of our expert rehairers (particularly those who have patched the hard plastic bit of the skulls) done any vid or pic tutorials yet?  I'm getting the itch to use some of my vast stock of hair on the CAM pieces I'm amassing....  The patching is the part that concerns me the most tbh since I can't even picture how to go about doing that and was considering just leaving a huge bald spot and styling over it

IMPORTANT:  I am having some difficulties keeping up with PMs at the moment due to real life, so I am putting further trades/sales on hold for now.  It seems like as soon as I think I get things under control my husband or daughter (or I) get the flu or a hurricane comes winging our way (seriously?)  I'm working on getting through all those people I was already dealing with!!

updated want list- and what I have available for trade/sale :)

FOR TRADE/SALE:
MIB Howleen and Clawdeens sisters set- would prefer to trade but may be willing to sell for $35 GONE
nude Draculaura Dot Dead Gorgeous from the 3 pack $7
CAM vampire girl, no clothes (sorry, not a soft head) $7
Nude orginal release Ghoulia $15 GONE
nude GR  Frankie $7
CAM nocturnal and mystical body parts- green head, lav and light blue head,  lower arms with hands, torsos, (yes, I am aware of just how random this is, lol- blame Mattel)
purple sea monster torso $3 SOLD

Working through PMs---  school is still hectic and busy so I haven't been able to catch up like I thought I would be able to....  here is a photo of what I'm dealing with though :)

I will work on labelling and pricing this mass of nudies...honest!  all Lagoona's are missing their leg fins >.<
other quick notes on conditions: DT Cleo's arm is actually missing the end of the peg that holds it in securely but has some wall tac that does the trick to some extent...she is poseable but not playable really.  Original Draculaura and wave 2 Frankie were my daughter's first MH dolls...they are well loved...and have loose joints and some joint damage and messed hair :)  Other dolls have various messed hair.  Some of the original elastic hip joints are loose- on a related note- is there a way to tighten those?  I've had some come straight out of the box that way.  Sister pack Clawdeen has 1600's hands.  That's Deuce's right arm floating around in the middle there.
Most nudes $5.  If I have stated a flaw, I may be willing to go lower.

also available- cat twins- black haired twin missing a bit of paint on her nose:

bolded are priorities.  Not actively buying at this time- trading only.

The problem with the trend of blogging and the freedom of the Internet is that it allows anyone with an opinion and the ability to type the ability to publish a blog.  It also allows them a certain amount of credibility with a LOT of people who have not yet learned the important lesson that you can't believe everything you read on the Internet ;)

It's similar with any toy line that has a faithful following that goes through a revamp....the real telling thing will be the cartoon.....if its anywhere near as catchy as FIM........  Whoo boy!

amazing detail work o.O  I cannot fathom how steady your hands need to be or how good your eyesight is  (coming from someone with a tremor and severe nearsightedness, I am very jealous of those capable of such fine detail work!)  She's beautiful :)
