Off Topic / Re: Bizarre dreams story time!
« on: March 19, 2015, 11:05:34 PM »
Dreams are fun.  I once had a dream that I had a dragon.

I've had dreams that came true before.  Most of it is little stuff that I don't remember until that feeling of deja vu (like helping my mom sort her recipes).
The most notable one happened way back in 1999.  I'll put it under a spoiler because it's a little freaky.

Spoiler
I was a junior in high school (now you know how old I really am) and I was living in Montana at the time.  I had a dream that I was in a school theater.  I hadn't been there before and I was wandering around and found the green room (for you non-theater people, that's the room where the actors wait during performances--it isn't necessarily green).  In the room were a bunch of kids huddled in the corner.  Some were on their cell phones.  They were saying that they weren't safe and they wanted to go home.  I couldn't understand why they didn't just leave and I tried to leave but the door was gone.

When I woke up I was standing next to my bed, feeling the wall.  I thought it was totally weird because usually I don't "sleepwalk" in any way.  That day at school they made the announcement that a high school in Colorado had had a shooting and we watched the news footage in a couple of classes.  When they mentioned that a bunch of kids had hidden in the green room of the theater at Columbine High School and called their parents on cell phones, I admit I freaked out just a little on the inside.

I write.  I've got a novel that I posted on FictionPress and one of my readers knows a publisher and sent me their email and said to tell them it's the story she's been "obsessing over" so they know it's me.  I've asked someone to edit for me (because I think I overuse commas and I'm slightly dyslexic so I want all mistakes caught) and once that's done, I'll be contacting them about my novel.

I even came across a fanfic the other day that was based on my story, so I know someone out there likes it!

Ooh, that's very cool! What's your username on FictionPress? I'm on there, too.

It's the same as here.  I generally use Pokeyonekenobie as my user name on sites.  :)

Have you removed the head of the sea pony to make sure it isn't moldy in there?  Light colored ponies (usually white and yellow) with mold inside will start to darken as the mold shows through.

As for the other two, looks like discoloration to me.  They weren't stored near anything painted with nail polish, were they?

I didn't even know this was coming out!  Awesome!  I bet you could find this at Hastings.  They had the Complete Series of the G1 cartoons there.  But if not, I'll be ordering it from Amazon.

I was actually going to post a similar question.  Has anyone used Folk Art Clearcote or Pearlcote?  My local Michael's had some on sale so I was curious if it was worth picking up or not.

Have you tried googling "My Little Pony G2 Coloring Pages"?  Then click on the images tab and scroll through until you find what you're looking for.  Unfortunately, you'll have to sift through all the generations but I've found if you only search "My Little Pony G2" all that comes up are the actual toys.  I don't know if those would be high resolution enough for your needs, but it doesn't hurt to look.

Googling "My Little Pony G2 Artwork" also brings up pictures of what you want, but also some of the toys.

I've been playing Pokemon Black lately while I walk on the treadmill (it kills the monotony).  The sad thing is that I bought it when it first came out, I just never got around to playing it.  I got the 4th badge today... :P

Interesting.  I've been considering trying to custom a mini Big Mac Funko so this might come in handy.  OOooohhh...is that a Granny Smith custom I see in the works????  Awesome!
I would like to see how that works out, because I think that one might be one solid piece. Please post about it if you do it.
Nope it is an OC custom of a pony called "Atjour Service" and she is proving to be a behemoth of an undertaking.

If I ever get time to try it, I will.  The colors looked like Granny Smith but the other one sounds neat, too!  Post pictures when you get her done!

Pony Corral / Re: First and last childhood ponies

My first was Baby Glory.  (I still have most of her accessories.)  The last ponies that were purchased for me were Springy (color swirl pony) and Teeny Pony Twins Sniffles and Snookums.  (I still have all their accessories as well.)  After that I didn't get back into ponies until G3 was just about done with.

But I still remember being so excited to get the Party Pack with Baby Frosting and Party Time for Christmas the year it came out because I didn't have any flutter ponies or so softs (or any pegasus ponies for that matter-and the so soft was a pegasus) and then my parents said that they forgot to take out the so soft and the flutter pony because those were for my sister.  I think they were afraid that I would ruin them.  I said I was okay with it, but really, I was sad.  Fortunately, my sister grew out of ponies and I got them back (but by then the flutter's wings were broken).  I still have them and the accessories.

Mine isn't horror.  And I was thinking of going through Amazon because then I could do both Kindle edition and a print edition.  I haven't looked at Barnes and Noble, though.  I might see if I can sell through both or if there's an exclusivity clause.

So...I wrote a novel and haven't had any luck getting an agent so I thought I'd self-publish through Amazon.  I was wondering if anyone else has done this and if any of you have any tips, tricks, warnings, etc. so I don't get in over my head.  Any help is greatly appreciated.

Pony Brag Arena / Clearance Find

I stopped at Walmart to pick up some stuff for my mom and they had a Rainbow Magic Game on clearance for $2.00.  So I snatched it.  I'm not really interested in the game itself, but it does come with Blind Bag AJ, Pinkie, Fluttershy and Princess Twilight (no crown).  Since Blind Bags go for $2.50 each here, how could I pass that up?  I only wish they'd had more so I could have more custom bait.
