SO cute!  She looks great!  And not to sound like a broken record up in here, but her garden set is freaking adorable.  She looks pretty perfect in there.

So, now that I think I've figured out how to correctly post pictures, I wanted to show off the customs I made for my mom (awwww, I know) for Mother's Day.

Aaaand another Peter Rabbit I did for a friend.  Both Peters have the same NDS marking.

They were done with acrylics and rehaired with Dollyhair.  They're not perfect, but I learned a lot doing them.  I hope my next ones are even better.
Thanks for taking the time to look at them!

Pony Brag Arena / Long overdue brags
« on: May 12, 2013, 11:51:22 AM »
Hey, guys.  So, I'm still trying to figure out how, exactly, to post pictures in forums in preparation for the Newbie Swap.  I decided to try my hand at showing off a pair of very awesome customs made for me by AlexK, of https://www.facebook.com/AlexKCustoms.
I initially asked her to make me a Cheer Bear, but when she gave me my options of the white unicorn base or pink earth pony base, I knew I had to have a Good Luck Bear, too.
I told her my only requests were that their cutie marks were on opposite sides so I could display them cheek-to-cheek, and that perhaps she could fit a star and heart buddy somewhere in them.

Here's what she made for me.  Aren't they gorgeous?

Oh, wow!  It totally worked!  Score!  I'm so excited!

So, yes!  AlexK's custom ponies.  She does a fabulous job, doesn't she?

Welcome to the Arena.  Interesting user name, are you into real Arabs perchance?

I am, actually!  Grew up on them and wouldn't be able to ever have another breed, I think.  I am guessing you are an Arab girl yourself since you caught that reference?  The "amazon" part is more in regards to my parrot than me having one breast and sniping menfolk with my bow while horseback.

And thank you to everyone else for the welcome as well.  This has been a very engaging website so far.  I think I need to start checking replies more often, though.

It was a crappy situation, but Moonhawke handled it well and it all worked out after all.  It seems the buyer feels pretty bad about it and I doubt she'll repeat it.  No need to rub her nose in it like an errant puppy.

When I first moved to Alaska 3 years ago, I just knew i was going to be traumatized or eaten by a bear, or something.  It was going to be awful and I'd never get used to the isolation and crazy-cold winters and weird Alaskans with their woodsmoke smell and bushy beards and cars that need to be plugged in.
Well, I mush dogs all winter for tourists. And man, it's still a rush when I have my A-team hooked up and everyone is screaming and slamming in their harnesses jonesing for a run.  Who knew that the dogs would love it more than anyone else? For fun, my coworkers and I go on fun-runs along the Yukon Quest trail or around the resort we work at.  The dogs are crazy for running, and the yard goes insane the moment one of us even touches a harness.  Some of these freaks will even dress themselves- all we have to do is hold out the harness and in half a second, there is a dog in it hauling us to the gangline.  No slave labor here!
Right now, the trails are turning to slush, so no more sled rides for the season.  So on our downtime from maintaining our dog yard, we get to exercise the horses to prep for our summer trail rides.
Although tourist rides are dull and draining, on our slow days, we like to take the horses up the mountains and tear around, noting where all the berries are blossoming.  Come fall, we take buckets in our backpacks and ride back up so we can load up on cranberries and blueberries.
And once this snow melts, we'll get the rest of the geocaches in the area and maybe make one for Togo around our statue of Balto.  Who is Togo, you ask?  For shame!  Only the unsung hero of the serum run to Nome!
Man, I love reading WYP, but I really have to say, life is good if you're looking for it.  Here's to the next big adventure!

I'm still very new at this, but here's the Potter Triplets I just finished for my mother.  Now, to see if I can get the hang of posting pictures...

Nope.  Haven't gotten it yet.  Oh, bother.  Maybe next time.

I'm not much for posting in forums, but I'll try to add input every so often if what I have to say would be beneficial or add to the post.  I'll mainly be around perusing the MLP customs and market to see what treasures await.
Thanks for the warm welcome.
Regards,
