I actually just got mine yesterday! She's cute, but I'm not that much a fan of her pose.

I wasn't really expecting much when I went to walmart today (the other one in the area doesn't have anything newer than baby Rainbow Dash and Spike), but I lucked out!!

I bought the Canterlot FS Luna-Celestia two pack when it was in stores, but since I customized them, I wanted a normal Luna. Her colors are really nice together. They had a bunch of posters, too, so I've got the full set of those now. This wasn't the Lagoona release I was planning on buying, but I couldn't help myself. Now I just need Robecca and I'll have all the MH dolls that I want right now.

There's an official one on the Hub's Facebook page, I think. It's pretty well-made.

I don't have it to hand, but there's a really nice comic somewhere that says something along the lines of:
Girls choosing pink (when given multiple options; the picture had a girl being offered stuff in blue/yellow/etc and chose pink) isn't the problem - it's making that the only choice that is. There's nothing wrong with liking pink, or any color, it's restricting color choices of stuff based on gender that's ridiculous.

Boy stuff is "gender neutral" - it's more okay, societally, for girls to want boy toys. Boy toys come in every color. But if something is marketed to girls, that means it must be girls only, and it's "emasculating" or "unmanly" for a boy to want it. :/ And yeah, honestly, those stereotypes can be pretty damaging for someone of any gender! I don't know where I was going with this.

Hasbro do indeed own a trademark for Firefly but its primary use is designated as "toy action figures"

None of the Dolly Mix ponies were sold with a TM mark against their names - so the supplier making the product was not actually claiming that a trademark was in place for any of the names - oddly this included AppleJack so it could merely be overlooked by the company or it could have been thought to have been a small enough product in the grand scheme that a TM was not required.

That makes sense, thank you Honestly I think it's possible even Hasbro's not totally sure what it's doing, and wanted G3 names to be used anyway.
