Judging from the small pictures at least, I think the figures look nicer than the CG promotional images. Very interested in mad scientist Izzy

Off Topic / Re: Have you had an encounter with a famous person?« on: June 16, 2021, 02:39:00 PM »And now I want to get a group of friends together and do this to a random person. Lol, that would have been hilarious. Today I got to talk to one of my academic role models about the entomology-related masters thesis I'm trying to write and it was a delightful experience! I'm not sure if she can be defined as famous, but she has written a few successful books and is quite frequently in the media in my country. I was so nervous and very surprised she showed interest in talking with me, but I think it went well! 213
Off Topic / Re: Have you ever ridden a rollercoaster?« on: June 16, 2021, 01:55:10 AM »
I love rollercoasters! I will ride any I have access to. I was a very wimpy child and it took me a long time to warm up to them, but now I can't get enough.
https://www.tusenfryd.no/en/in-the-park/attractions/thundercoaster One time in my teens I went to ride this one. It chugged up to the first high point and stopped there. I'm not sure what went wrong exactly, but the staff had to come up to unstrap us, and we had to walk all the way back down on the spindly little staircase. It put me off the rollercoaster for the rest of the day, but thankfully I had gotten over it by the next time I went to a themepark. 214

I'm pretty sure I was in the vicinity of a famous person today. The kids nearby started freaking out and running over to pose for pictures with them.
I have no idea who they were 215
Pony Corral / Re: Favorite Year for G1?« on: June 15, 2021, 11:59:09 AM »
Gotta go with year 4 since it was the year that went along with the original cartoon, which I am a big fan of. The twinkle eyes and flutter ponies are some of my favorite sets.

Oh, her color scheme is divine... if only she weren't a G4 blind bag

Pony Corral / Re: Which G5 Do You Like Best?« on: June 09, 2021, 01:07:14 PM »
I guess I like Izzy the most because I have a unicorn bias, and she has the nicest eye color among the girl ponies

Pony Corral / Re: Unpopular Pony Opinions« on: June 04, 2021, 10:22:11 AM »
While I can't say I *like* them, I don't dislike the names of the G5 ponies. If anything, I find them heaps and bounds better than the naming trend started by G3 where the names seemed downright adlibbed. I swear, if I see one more pony with "sweetie" in her name...
The G5 ponies do also have two names, but it seems to be more of an established first name/last name thing which I don't mind as much. 221

They still suffer from their heads being placed too far back on their necks, but I think these are the nicest looking g5 toys revealed so far. Sunny looks the cutest imo, and she's usually one of my least favorites design-wise.
Hearing "Play by Play" gives me flashbacks to those horrendous Pokemon and Digimon carnival prize plush from 20 years ago 0_0 If it's the same company, they've really improved. 222

My birds have started preening each other! I adopted my second budgie only a few months ago, and it makes me so happy to see how well he's settled in, and how the two of them love spending time together even if their personalities are very different.

Pui Pui Molcar is the anime of the decade for me. I love stop-motion animation, and one of my favorite sounds in the world is guinea pig wheeking. My budgies also loved to listen to it

There's 13 I can remember having that were purchased for me. I loved baby ponies and played with them almost exclusively heh.
Baby Brother Apple Delight Baby Rainribbon Baby Sunribbon Baby Brightbow Little Honey Pie Little Whiskers Baby Candy Baby Ruby Baby Snoozy Baby Bouncy Mummy Sunbright Bon Bon Snowdrop I have three older siblings so I also got to inherit some of the older ponies! My favorite was Baby Moondancer as I watched her special at some point and loved the ponies that appeared in the cartoon. It was my biggest regret that I was born too late to get my own cartoon character ponies. Off the top of my head...
