Pony Corral / Re: Shelves« on: December 15, 2016, 02:35:57 AM »Sadly my ponies are currently in a tub, but I want this SOOOOOOOO much to put my favourite ponies in: Oh yes, very pretty! And as others mentioned, perhaps using sheets of thin perspex (I have seen sheets sold in UK DIY stores) cut to size and then attached with Velcro/loop-hook tape to stop the dust getting in? As others have said - IKEA's Billy cases are an inexpensive yet great option too - again, you have to think about protecting your herd from exposure to dust. 2080
Pony Corral / Re: Backcard library/gallery?« on: December 15, 2016, 02:24:58 AM »G1 art is the best art! I just love the soft pastel and cute style used in the old backcards! Oh wow, so many! As a child I kept my G1 backcards safe as I loved looking at the artwork; alas, my parents decided to have a clear out and got rid of the packaging - I only have my Dream Castle box left (only because it was used to store Christmas decorations, so had a "use", hehe). It would be wonderful to see your backcards scanned and online, I love looking at the mylittlewiki site for a trip down memory lane. 2081
Pony Corral / Re: Discussion: Cures for pony cancer« on: December 15, 2016, 02:14:33 AM »Hasbro used to sell blank white G3s for customization . . . I wish some intrepid customizers would band together and produce blank ponies in G1 molds. Oh yes - especially as G1 unicorns, please! Hasbro did release the G1 25th Birthday sets a few years ago, I wish I had seen the Rainbow pony sets (with unicorns) in the stores (I am based in the UK and only saw the Cotton Candy / Butterscotch etc box sets at Toys R Us). Hasbro have the moulds/molds, I wish that they could find an excuse to use them again, a set of "design yourself" G1 blanks would be amazing! We have the current G4 "Pop" blanks, so I know it *must* be possible! 2082

Welcome! I am new too!
So sad to hear what your ex did - how mean! I hope you re-establish your new herd soon It is so satisfying finding a sorry-looking pony and breathing new life into them with a make-over. My faves are the G1s too! 2085

Thank you, Griffin!
I need to find time over the Christmas holidays to make a start on "tidying up" some of those ponies that need a little tlc I am slowly building up an arsenal of tools to aid in the task: toothbrushes, forceps, clamps, sun-reactive pimple cream, nail varnish remover and oxi powder for starters! Then after cleaning comes the REAL fun - new pony hair! So next step - ordering some lovely hair... but the hardest part is choosing which pony to start first |
