Pony Corral / Re: How many g1s do you have in your collection?
« on: December 02, 2016, 09:30:53 AM »
I think the G1 total is close to 400. I know it's nearly 500 if I include doubles, but I don't have it broken down further than that. Sounds like a project for today!

In the G1 episode Fugitive Flowers, Peter Cullen voiced the chief of the good guys and Frank Welker voiced one of the bad guys. This doesn't even remotely sound like a show with transforming giant robots.

Peter Cullen and Frank Welker also had voice credits in My Little Pony: The Movie, as Grundle/Ahgg and Bushwoolie #3/Grundle, respectively.

That's right, folks, Optimus Prime was a giant, ticklish spider!

I am a big fan of Merry Treat. I'm hoping to get Stockings someday!

Pony Corral / Re: Was G1 Applejack clumsy?

She fell off a bridge and was ponynapped to become one of Tirek's chariot-beasts. Oh, and Firefly knocked her over along with a huge basket of apples.

Maybe not clumsy so much as unfortunate?

Pony Corral / Re: Share your best Pony luck ever.
« on: December 01, 2016, 01:44:38 PM »
I think my best pony luck is from the Fair this year. Late on the last day, I finally made my way to the display room with all of the contest entries and display bits that the designers brought. I noticed a giant blank G3 as part of the display and realized she wore a price tag. She was for sale! So I bought her and carried her around for the rest of the Fair. So many people had been to that room, seen her, and no one realized she was for sale! I hadn't planned on buying anything that large at the Fair, so she ended up in my carry-on cross stitch bag on the plane ride home. There were a few looks from people at this 30+ year old woman walking around with a giant white pony head sticking out of a bright orange bag, but that was part of the fun!

Well, that and buying a Rapunzel from a lovely person on the Arena. The two of them currently hang out, with Punzie perched on Giant Blank Pony's back.  :newpony:

Pony Corral / Re: Do You Ever Have Dreams About MLP?

I had one last night about finding 2 complete Dream Castles, one lavender and one pink. I was bargaining with my friend to trade the pink one I found for the lavender she had. She doesn't collect and couldn't understand why I wanted to trade so bad. I woke up and went to eBay. No lavender Dream Castle.

Pony Corral / Re: mint vs. loose

I prefer my ponies loose, but I wouldn't open a MIB pony just for my preferences. I'd leave the pony MIB and trade for a loose one. That way, everyone's happy!

Pony Corral / Re: Game: MLP Misheard Lyrics
« on: October 06, 2016, 01:29:53 PM »
I like the idea of the guy being Bluetooth, lol!

Speaking of misheard lyrics, there's a line in the opening of RaMC (in the opening "My Little Pony, My Little Pony" song) that I can't understand at all.

What the heck are the lyrics before "No sign of trouble in sight"?  Anyone know?

My Little Wiki seems to think the line is "Jolly and pleasant, just for the present", but I'm not so sure about jolly. Sounds more like 'sunny' to me.

Pony Corral / Re: What playsets did you have in your childhood ponies?
« on: September 27, 2016, 06:27:29 PM »
I had the Satin Slipper Sweet Shoppe, the Lullabye Nursery, 2/3 of a Dream Castle, the Perfume Puff Palace, and the Scrub-A-Dub Tub.

Dream Castle was a thrift store find, which is why it's at 2/3. Everything else I have from box, but the accessories all blended in with my other toys. I have to go through that mess and see what I can salvage.

Customs / Re: Customizing playsets- tips, tools, picture share?

Does anyone have any experience fixing the hinges on Dream Castle? The shell I want to customize has nothing but broken hinges, and I'd like to fix those up.

Pony Corral / Re: How do you keep count of your herd?

Having just done a quick check of my spreadsheet, I have a grand total of 492 ponies and 13 Keypers. Accounted for, anyway. I'm still certain there are more hiding in some of my playset/accessory boxes.

I will have all of them. ALL OF THEM! At least, all the US releases. If fate and timing and my wallet are kind.

I have a spreadsheet, with tabs for each year, and ponies arranged by set. I keep count of duplicates and any flaws or restoration work, prices when I remember them. It also includes my Keypers and the Lil' Litters.

Once I have a better storage system for the ponies, I'll be adding photos for each pony showing front, both sides, portrait, rear, top and bottom.

I don't keep track of accessories or playsets... yet. That'll be the next big spreadsheet project.

It's about time! I've been watching for this since I learned about the Toy Collector Hall of Fame!

Or Rapunzel , or any rare pony. :newpony: The thought of people diving into the sea for a rare Sea pony.

Or the Mermaids!
