There's way too much pink in my collection, lol. Also a fair amount of blue, white and yellow too.

Customs / Flutterguy, Fluttershy and a baby dragon (lots of plushies!)« on: February 20, 2012, 07:46:31 AM »
Over the past few months I've been trying my hand at making G4 plushes (well, 2 versions of Fluttershy so far) It's the first time I've made a plush from scratch in almost 15 years so I'm a little rusty. Both of them are made from yellow fur fabric, pink yarn hair, felt eyes and symbols, and completely hand sewn.
Flutterguy visitors can't see pics , please register or login visitors can't see pics , please register or login Here's a pic next to G4 Fluttershy for size comparison: visitors can't see pics , please register or login I this was my first attempt and Christmas present for a good pony friend of mine. She had mention in a conversation how she wished Hasbro would release a talking version of Fluttershy with her 'Flutterguy' voice so I added a voice box recording of 'Evil Enchantress'. I'm pretty pleased with how it turned out, though her head angle and ability to stand could have been better, but her new owner assures me she's perfect just the way she is ^^ Fluttershy visitors can't see pics , please register or login visitors can't see pics , please register or login My second Fluttershy. Learning from the previous attempt I found an alternative way to attached the head and wings, thickened the tail, managed to adjust the angle of her head and reenforced the legs with cardboard so that she is capable of standing on her own so I'm even more pleased with how she turned out. After making these two girls I am going to leave it a while before I attempt another plush as they were hard on my poor little fingers (I stabbed myself lots of times ) and they are sooooo time consuming. And lastly here's a little welsh dragon plush that my eldest daughter (she's 8) made in time for St.David's day next month which she wanted to show off too: visitors can't see pics , please register or login visitors can't see pics , please register or login visitors can't see pics , please register or login I drew the pattern for her and helped to attached the spikes and wings, but everything else was she did by herself ^^ I'm so impressed with how well she did. I'll have her making pony plushes next 207

I accidentally got hooked on it after writing one of my fanfics: Kaiba Conversion
I was never fond of Doctor Who when growing up as a child (my mum and brother loved it so it was on a lot) and by the time I was a teenager it had become something that had a strong 'geek/nerd/uncool/laughable' image so I avoided it. Even when my hubby and father-in-law was getting all excited about it I just wasn't interested. Then my hubby dared me to write a crossover featuring something I loved with something I strongly disliked. I took up his challenge and did a little research, watched some episodes, and basically ended up falling in love with one of the characters (who doesn't love captain Jack?) That diverted me off towards Torchwood (series 1&2 ), and after that I watched a bit more Doctor Who (including some of the older stuff) but it wasn't until Matt Smith took over as the Doctor that I began watching every episode as they aired. As much as I love David Tennant as the Doctor, I would have to say that I love Matt Smith just that little bit more. 209
