Honestly this is exactly how my family (at this point mainly just my brother) reacts to my collection. My brother gets angry at me anytime I get a package and will throw it around, yell at me, and talk about how I need mental help or have a bunch of problems... just because I spend a little money on toys. The amount he and my parents spend on cigarettes, beer, and similar things in a week is more than I spend on ponies in a month, but I'm the one who needs help... Hmmm....

I always hate seeing happy collectors show the world their things and then get shot down and insulted like that. How dare we spend money on things that make us happy, right!!? Having a hobby and making yourself smile is suuuuch a waste of money! /sarcasm.

Hugs all around!  I'm so glad there's a friendly community here where no one is getting shamed for *gasp* enjoying something!

mines the same. he whines about me spending a few measly dollars on something when he spends around $200 each on hats he barely ever wears

hand sewing gives you more control but eats away at time very quickly. remember to have velcro on the back so you can take it off and put it on

Welcome to the arena!

There are a few tutorials for making a rerooting tool out of needles and an x-acto knife handle, it's super easy! That's how I got mine! :)

seriously?! coz i can get one of those for like, $4 compared to the ones online for $15. would you mind linking me to one?

Here you go! I find that I use a smaller needle size for g4s than I do for g1s and 3's. If you look up re-rooting here on the arena you'll find a lot of tips for needle size and securing the hair :)

Omg I could make that right now! XD thank u so much! That takes 15 pecious dollars off my total making it affordable to make a custom as soon as the hair arrives (I'm jobless so money needs saving as it doesn't regenerate every week)
