I agree with what people have said on here. Mr. Clean erasers are wonderful too, I use them a lot. As for hair perserverence is key, I had a my pretty pony with completely matted hair, it took 2 hours to get the tail done, then an hour for her mane, but came out beautiful. I also use the boiling water treatment for frizzy hair, comes out lovely. I would love to see updates when you get some. Good luck.

No, not on a g1 as of yet. I do not have a tinsel haired g1.
Post Merge: July 04, 2012, 01:14:08 PM Oh, I am not running the iron over the dryer sheet. It is the film on the dryer sheet being wiped onto the pony's hair. I think it helps keep the tinsel from sticking together and gives it some stiffness. 1671

Maybe I should add this to my list of pony cleaning products? http://mlparena.com/mlp/index.php/topic,300933.0.html You have to set it on low. I had it on the lowest spot on my Straightener, otherwise you could melt the tinsel. 1672

Hi guys. Just want to discuss tinsel straightening techniques.
I have been straightening tinsel hair using just a few simple items: Dryer sheet Cold water Hair Straightener First wet your ponies' hair and make sure it is combed. Wet the dryer sheet, and run through the ponies' mane and tail a few times. Take a Straightener set on LOW and run through the ponies' hair. The technique for me is to hold the hair straight and firm when running the iron through. Also I try to decrease the pressure I am applying to the flat iron towards the end of the hair to keep it from curling, also held to go slow, but not too slow to keep tinsel from curling. Next rinse the ponies hair in cold water to get off the dryer sheet residue.
