Sorry to hijack your thread, but you got me thinking! I have 3 large dogs, and 5 cats in the house (3 are fosters). Some of you mention the furminator, does it really work? My very short haired american bulldog sheds like crazy!!! All my animals eat high quality foods, so it isnt that. We live in upstate NY so its been unusually hot here. I have tried those rubber brushes, slicker bruhes, curry combs.. basicly I have a large bag full of brushes. Candy, our ameican bulldog loves to be vaccummed though!!

I would definatly invest in a brush if other people here say it works!!

Here are a few pictures for you guys of Candy, and Cashy is in there too!!!

Hi there! I sold my baiaty G1 seashell on July 21st on ebay. I have in my auctions in capital letters that if you have less then 5 positive feedbacks that the buyer must make contact with me prior to the auction ending. The auction sold for .99 cents to a brand new buyer with 0 feedback. I have not had any contact with the buyer. I sent this person 2 emails requesting payment to be made, and some kind of email or contact from them.

I allow 5 days for payment to be made so they have until July 26th to pay me. I am getting frustrated with bidders not reading my auctions "rules". All I want is a simple note, saying hi, i am a real person and intend to pay if I win.

I am hoping perhaps the buyer may be a member here. Perhaps they forgot to pay me, or dont know how? I am more then willing to help them along, I just want to hear from them.

So is your out there hikariamaya please contact me, I would really apreciate it!! Thank you

Sarah

My husband and I usually eat out 2-3 times a week, This includes Dunkin donuts on the weekends. We eat a lot of fresh fish, especially salmon. We have been buying organic meats lately. We have found it tastes so much better. Its more expensive but I try to buy it from our local grocery store when its close to expire. They put in on drastic sale, so I usually stock up. This is why we a huge freezer.  We eat a lot of fresh veggies. I have 12-13 tomatoe plants, a bunch of lettuce, 10 or so various pepper plants, basil, parsley.

We have been trying to eat better, we make our owm pizza and wings now too. We have been eating Dreamfeilds pastas, and the Rotini Garden pastas. I love, love, love chicken burgers on wheat buns with swiss chesse!! It is so good!!!!
But the sweets kill me!!! I love oreos, muffins fresh from the grocery store. But I guess it all evens out in the end. We got these hotdogs that are all antural and uncured. They are Applegate brand. The turkey ones are gross though, which really surprised us and disappointed us.

Off Topic / Re: Anyone else's cat leave them dead mice everywhere?
« on: July 10, 2012, 11:18:45 PM »
Its ridiculous here... I have five cats in the house (3 are fosters) and 3 large dogs.  Last year I noticed that the cats dry food bowl that is upstairs was getting empty pretty quick. So I was thinking they must all eat up there instead on downstairs. So, I got a huge bowl so they wouldnt be hungry. Well, that was empty pretty quick too. So I figured somthing was going on but for the life of me I couldnt figure it out. I was going through pounds of dry cat food daily. So, as I was happily feeding my very hungry cats everyday.

Then unfortunatly for us hurricane Irene struck. The wind from the storm blew the siding off of our house in some spots. I swear to God we were infested with mice!!!! They were living under our siding!! There were dozens of them, we couldnt believe it. The mice were everywere, once the storm stopped and we went outside the mice were scurrying all over the yard, and the wall of the house. My husband and I were standing there looking all over the back yard at the mice and siding!  Of course the dogs saw them and made quick work of some of them until we were able to get them in the house. We were able to catch around 30 live mice. I should have taken pictures of this. The insurance adjuster was surprised when he came out to view the damage, there were still mice coming out of the siding.

So my point is, I have very lazy cats who dont mind sharing there food with mice. Luckily we were able to get rid of them all, and got new siding.. but now I always leave mouse traps all around the house. Theres one in the bathroom, the celar, hell... theres even one under my bed. I really wish my cats would have caught them but I guess they thought it was beneth them.

Thank so much for everyones help!!! My husband also gives his thanks, because he has no idea either!! LOL.. I went to my tractor supply store tonight and got a pair of Justin boots. They were 89.99$ which I thought was pretty reasonab;e. The people there working really couldnt help me too much unfortuantly.  These are the ones I got but mine are darker brown and without all the pink. I figure I am there to ride a horse not to put on a fashion show!! LOL.. I hope these will do the trick, now one more question if I may. What kind of socks do you wear? Should I wear knee high socks? The sides on the boot rub a little against my calf. They had a display of differents styles of socks so I am not sure which is the better type to wear. I will wear a pair of jeans, its just hard because I usually wear bell bottoms, skinny, or other types of loose jeans. So I will have to find somthing more appropriate to wear.

I will tell you guys how I make out tomorrow! I am really excited about it! Thanks again, I would have looked like a fool tomorrow without you guys!!

Wow! I didnt realize this would be so involved! LOL... As far as my trainer goes, I honestly have no idea. My husbnad found a groupon for 3 private riding lessons and bought them for my birthday. He bought me a few others ones from groupon, one was for a trail ride and another was for group lessons. I have no idea what I will be doing as far as english or western. As a child I always rode bareback or western, but nothinf proffessional. Just heres a horse and up you go! I always rode a appy or a big draft horse.. lol. So this is somthing totally new for me.

I called the phone number to the barn / trainer and was told to text her my availablity. A week later I herd back form her, so I hoope that this isnt going to be a joke. I mean who texts like that? They are running a bussiness.

Maybe cowboy boots will work? They are somthing I can at least wear outside of the barn. I always use to have a pair, but I havent bought myself new ones lately. I will go up to my local tractor supply store to see what I can get.

Thanks for all the help and replies. I will wear a pair of jeans tommorrow, do you guys think i should wear skinny jeans? They are the only tight fitting jeans I have.

Hi Guys!! I am taking my first ever proffessional horse back riding lessons on Wensday morning. My husband bought me 3 private riding lessons from Groupon. Now heres my question for you guys, I have ben intructed to wear boots with a heel. Im not sure what that is? I have dress boots that i wear skinny jeans with in the winter. Is this what they mean? Or I have mis understood what the instructor wants? I have tried to find a picture online of boots, but I keep finding different looking ones. I am hoping to find some horse riding folks on here that can give me some idea what I need to waer. Thank you in advance!!
