Pony Corral / Re: Is it possible...

Panda, that's brilliant! C'mon, summer!

I spent a car ride from Minnesota to Indiana, about 8 hours, fingernailing the flocking off of Magic Star. Sadly, after I got the flocking off, I didn't move on to the next stop. So now she is in limbo, waiting for me to have time and patience! But good to know that heat will remove whatever is left.

Can't wait to see photos of your test subject, VanillaBean!

The como park site is indoors, but doesn't have air conditioning. It wasn't bad, though. Last year it was hot, then it rained, then it was warm again. Never too stifling, just never really comfortable! The bummer part was that the rain happened while we were touring the zoo, and we got seperated in the storm, and then it was the only rain we got all fall, so my poor little garden suffered. But WE had fun! LOL!

I am truly enjoying picturing what "gross" weather looks like, though! I know what you mean, but c'mon, picture it with me! Sort of like "Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs," but less edible!

I may be able to attend.  :)  Can't believe I missed last year, Como is 20 minutes away from me.  :drunk:

I almost missed it last year due to car troubles! Learned a lot about what to do and not do- specifically, don't drive a car you are not familiar with for the first time. Thanks, Balto, for your patience! And thanks to Balto's neighbor for saving us!

I just filled out the form for the first of September, just to be sure we have a room reserved, even if it isn't on the optimal date.

I'm getting pretty excited, too, though there is a lot of summer between now and September! It doesn't help to look out the window and not see snow- I keep thinking it looks like Spring, and have to remind myself that February does not equal Spring.

So I'm putting out the date of Saturday September 1 for everyone to discuss. I'll hunt down the form for the BBC (Oh, Arvin! I miss you!) and see if I can put it on hold- if the date doesn't work for most of us, we can always change it.
That should give our North Dakotan friends time to do other things in the cities and go to the RenFest. I'm not going to try to plan a pony day at the fest, since that would be a lot of things to distract me, and I'm already pretty darn distracted!
I'll let you know how that goes and get back to you with details asap. Pony Hugs!

My money is on Christopher Walken. Would ANYONE be surprised? And I'm sure he treats them with love and respect and combs them when he's stressed. So maybe a few are missing their manes, but it is out of love!

Pony Corral / Re: Fashion styles, why you so big?!
« on: February 20, 2012, 02:53:41 AM »
Oooh, there's a boat for us! *puts on Barnacle's tiny hat*

The Fashion Style g4's are the size I think a pony should be! I'm not aghast at how small the g4's are, but man, they are wee! Like little leprechauns running around my pony room!
The fs g3's are big, but those So Soft Sleepy Newborn g1's.... them's some hefty ponies!
Is there a boat for those of us who really want the giant 2-foot g3?

Eeep! Page 3 again! Come back up here, you naughty thread!

It's driving me crazy not to have my partner! All the Spring and Summer things are coming out in the store, and I don't want to buy anything until I know something about my partner! So here's a question, to keep me from going stir crazy- What is your favorite color/color scheme?
Me, I like orange. I love all colors, but orange just makes me feel warm and happy, and I feel safer in the fall- less likely to be mistaken for a deer and shot! Haha!

Hi, DazzleKitty!
I interpret the Seasonal Extras as things like summer toys- beach balls, frisbees, sand toys, or fall decor- halloween decorations, maybe a scarf in fall colors. For spring maybe a pack of seeds or a gardening tool, wind chimes or a kite, easter eggs, and for winter there's always cocoa! Cute mug to put it in, a good book to curl up with, chapstick and lotion because it's so gosh darn dry this winter... And now you know what some of my ideas are for extras! LOL!

Pony Corral / Re: G3 Skywishes help pls?
« on: February 11, 2012, 04:30:57 AM »
I don't have pictures, and I hope someone else pops on to confirm, but I'm pretty sure the first Skywishes is a sort of a gentle pink and the Seaside is closer to hot pink.

Hmmm, a swap with 4 people would be interesting! You'd have to guard your secrets much more carefully!

Pony Corral / Re: Do you ever have dreams about ponies that don't exist?
« on: February 04, 2012, 07:43:09 AM »
Long long ago, I had an amazing dream where I found a set of Bridal Party ponies in the ditch by the cemetery near our house. It was still in it's box, and it had the bride, a maid of honor, a bridesmaid, and a flower girl. This was long before I discovered there was a Baby Bridesmaid, (who I will always think of as a flower girl), though I did know there was a Bride. It was also long before the internet!
They were pink, except for the bride. That's all I remember.
That and the dancing pencils...

Maybe someday she'll look back at the toys she played with and how much they are worth on the toy black  market... then she'll realize! haha!

Wanted! / Aurora's Wish List (not currently buying)
« on: February 03, 2012, 06:36:49 PM »
Hi! So in case the subject line isn't obvious enough, I'm not currently shopping for anything for myself. This list is for swap partners and a reference for me, though you can certainly feel free to read through it!

I'm not fussy about condition. I know some of these ponies are hard to find, and if the only way I ever get Ice Crystal is to find him without hair, so be it! I do prefer that my ponies are recognizeable as themselves and that they don't have any live mold- husband is allergic to everything!

If something doesn't make sense, or there are multiple versions of a pony and you just aren't sure which one I mean, just let me know (probably through the swap host...). I tried to keep everyone straight, but that doesn't mean it worked.

Non-pony gift ideas for me: Donations to charities. I love Public Radio and the Humane Society, Toys for Tots and similar organizations. Donations to the Arena are always good, too!

I like handmade soap, like the stuff I find at craft sales. I like socks, I have large lady feet.

I love art of ponies- my favorites are Firefly and Glory, I also love Aurora and Discord. Anyone else is good, too. I'm actually really getting into the art of ponies, I'm trying to frame what I have so it displays nicely. Crafts are also good, but I do dearly love things I can hang on the wall.

CUSTOMS:
*I adore customs of Aurora- the pony in my avatar or signature, she's in one of them all the time. If you need details, let me or the swap lord know.
*I would love alternate versions or customs of Glory and Firefly. They are best friends, so I can't have one without the other. So far I have g4 BB versions of both.

visitors can't see pics , please register or login

*A note about customs- please don't customize a healthy happy pony for me. I would prefer she have something wrong with her/him to start with. Also, Aurora, Glory, and Firefly are always female- no need to customize a boy!

G4:
Luna's Carriage Nightmare Night Thingy
Special Rarity or Pinkie Pie blind bags, I don't have any. MOC or open.
Pretty much any blind bag, doubles are fine! Please let me know if it is rare, my son loves to play with these, and I need to know if I should protect it.
Sandbar
Other non-mane-6 characters from the latest season--- Yona, Hippogriff, etc.

Equestria Girl Chibi Dolls:
Twilight Sparkle
Sirens
Fluttershy
Rainbow Dash
Flash Sentry
DJ

I love all things Discord. I have all the Funko versions, but would still love art and plushes.

G4 Blind Bags:
Sassaflash (not the clear or glittery one, just the plain one)
Twilight Velvet- she looks just like Glory!

My son, Lincoln, loves Tempest. Her song, her horn... if you have a book or link to her backstory, he would love it.
