i've never really dealt with bullying from men and honestly its a little scary for me.  I stood up to him and am hoping that it will stop for now.  Its been going on somewhat since we moved in but lately its gotten worse.

thank you everyone for the support. :)  the pony photos are so lovely.  i'm so happy that we all have a wonderful group of people to talk to when life gets rough.

808pony, it always makes me so happy that children today can enjoy the same toys that we loved as a child :)

This week has been rough for me. :( I'm pretty much being bullied by my neighbor and his college aged kids.  I can't believe this is something we have to deal with as adults

Anyway looking at my ponies always puts me in a better mood. When i see their little faces i always feel a little happier.

Show me the ones that always brighten up your bad days :)

Here are a few of my favorites

Definitely the Big Brother and Mountain Boys

I didn't have any when I was growing up and i didn't like them when i first started collecting.  I never thought I would own any.

But after seeing so many lovely photos here they started growing on me. Now i have a couple of Big Brothers and four Mountain Boys :)  I plan to get the rest at some point.

Aside from ponies lately it's been nail polish. Also, I love coffee. We're starting a business so we don't have a lot of extra spending money but it's nice to have a treat every so often.

Off Topic / Need to Get Rid of Old Textbooks Help!
« on: June 23, 2013, 02:18:41 PM »
My boyfriend and I have a ton of old textbooks from our's and his parents' college days.  They range in age from the 80s maybe 70s? through the early 2000s. Mostly business.  Right now they are taking up space on a bookshelf we would really like to use for books we actually plan on reading.

I need these books out of my life but i have no idea how to get rid of them.

I've done some research online and it seems that no one is interested in old text books.  I don't feel right about just throwing them away and i don't have time to sell them on ebay or anything like that.  I'm pretty sure they wouldn't sell anyway.  Most of them are pretty dated.

Does anyone have any idea or suggestions about what I can do with them?

OH LAWDS.  I don't need to see any more nail polish that I don't have to have, but end up having to have.  *goes to snap picture of nail polish*

We totally need to do a swap.  Ponies and Polish swap.

ETA:  Here is all I have.  I might have another bottle or five floating around places, but can't find them right now.

A ponies and polish swap sounds like so much fun

For me Baby Buttons has been so hard to find without cancer.  She's still cute though :)

I'm a web designer so I love fonts :lovey: I'm sure I have over a thousand on my pc.

This is one of my favorite typography sites. They feature a few new fonts each week.  They are works of art.

My organization system is by generation, country, year, and grouping.  For the most part the U.S. g1s are in chronological order. I like to keep groupings together.  This way i can find them easily.

I want to comple my Mountain Boys set. I only need Torando and Sunburst. I also need to complete my TAF babies, wingers, so softs, and dutchies. My long term goal is to eventually have all non nirvana g1s plus all German and Dutch ponies. I have a long way to go :)

Pony Corral / Re: Condition of neck seal
« on: June 16, 2013, 03:27:47 PM »
I prefer them to be factory sealed but i'm not really that picky.  If their heads turn that is fine. I don't remove their heads unless they have tail rust and grime inside.

I did have a couple of ponies that had really bad tail rust and needed to be cleaned.  Their heads were impossible to remove without cutting through the inner neck ring.  It was almost like the inside of their necks had melted together.  In that case i either had to live with the tail rust and grime or cut the head off and glue it back on after cleaning the inside and replacing the tail washer.  I really hate tail rust so i cut them open.  They still look great on display though :)
