I always wanted a tattoo but I am very sensitive to metals - so I would probably have a terrible reaction to the ink.

LOTS of people have MLP tattoos though - search the forum for lots of examples.

I remove the box art including card, then put that in a ziploc bag. After that, everything else gets recycled!

AGH! Have you tried duct tape looped around a hanger or ruler? Sometimes you can latch on that way - they just need a re-style of the hair afterwards.

It could also be an underaged user, borrowing thier parent's account maybe... Regardless, I agree with NOT going through with the sale until you have a verified Paypal address that is protected by their seller protection.
