Pony Corral / Re: ? About G4 Fashion Style ponies

Lol, I'm not sure. I put her away to give to my daughter later so she's buried right now in a bin. I want to say purple or pink. I was thinking Twilight Sparkle but I don't know if she came like that. I may have to dig her out tomorrow and see who she is.

Pony Corral / ? About G4 Fashion Style ponies
« on: October 18, 2015, 11:35:48 PM »
I know almost nothing about the popularity of the various G4 characters and designs. I found a fashion style pony at the thrift store and it has the smaller wings, not the hideous giant ones. Is she anymore vsought after or just normal value?

I'm sure you wouldn't feel out of place Ponyshoes. I've not been to a meet but everything I've heard of pony people says they're all very welcoming and accepting of all ages. The meet seems like a very laid back friendly environment.

Oh yes. I may have tried a flat iron too. Not positive. But yes just straight fabric softener should help.

You can try soaking in liquid fabric softener for the tail. I had a pony bride and after many soaks her hair became pretty nice again. I just left her sitting with her hair in a bowl of it and after awhile I would wash it out and check and then resoak if needed.

Customs / Unlucky Clover Dollyhair
« on: October 10, 2015, 06:31:03 PM »
Hello! I'm right in the middle of a project and don't have enough Unlucky Clover to finish the tail. I need a piece 20 inches long and about the thickness of a pinkie finger or a little less. I can pay a bit through Paypal or maybe trade another color. I'd like to receive the hair quickly and don't need other colors so I'd rather not order through Dollyhair. TIA!

I'd love to plan to go next year. It's a bit of a drive but since I've got time to plan ahead maybe I can work it out. I'd have my girls in tow. I'm sure they'd love it. How many people usually attend out of curiosity. I've never been to one and tend to shy away from groups of people I don't know but a pony meet seems like it would be fun. Plus I'd love to see some of the talented artists work firsthand.
Also is there a brag or pic thread from this years meet so I can peek through and see how it went?

All of your work is so pretty. I guess I hadn't realized you did so much in the customs area I just thought you did rehairs. All these guys/gals are great though. That Bubbles is especially cute.

I have a rearing baby fakie like that that I was going to do the same thing to. Thought about making a rearing mommy and baby just haven't ever gotten around to it. One day. I love it with the uni head. So cute.

I was trying to get into the fruit/vegetable smoothie thing but just haven't found a recipe I like. Though I haven't tried too many. I was trying recipes with Kale or baby spinach but they were gross. I'd like to find some good recipes so that I can get better with my nutrition and not just have to begrudgingly tolerate the smoothie.

I don't have much advice to give but I absolutely love her hair color and the tinsel with it. As far as making it more something you're happy with I don't know what to tell you. Just keep fiddling with her till she feels right.

Isn't it crazy looking back on old pictures where you were much thinner but at the time you were ashamed of how 'fat' you were!?

I came across some and am sooooo shocked that I felt the way I did about myself when I looked really good.

This exactly. I remember when I got married thinking I was fat and I was probably 135lbs. Later even at 150 I felt so huge. Now looking back I'd love to be that size again. I looked great!

I was just looking back through this thread, and I am happy to report I'm now climbing 23 flights of stairs a day and have lost 11 more pounds!  :)  My calves look fantastic.  Patiently waiting for the poundage to come off my thighs now . . .

I HATE stairs with a passion so that's amazing that you do 23 flights! Awesome accomplishment. I tried doing the stair machine at the gym and was dying in like 2 minutes. My knees hate me.

I also need to lose 100 pounds or more which is shocking to hear myself say. I never thought I'd get to this point in life.
I do try going to the gym with my neighbor but she's my ride (since my husband and I only have one car) and our schedules don't always match up. My husband is supposed to deploy for a year soon so I'm hoping I can hit the gym harder while the kiddos are at school and lose a lot before he returns.

Supposedly I have Hypothyroid but even after starting meds I see/feel no differences in myself and weight certainly isn't coming off any easier.  So who knows.

I hope to get on the right track soon.
