You know, without them ever really stating it, that Billy has a problem with Lucas because he is black. It does not make it right, but I grew up in that time in a small town and I can tell you that was pretty common place. I guess that is why I did not fixate on it, I knew it that era there was some backwards thinking about mixed race couples.

This is going to be a VERY unpopular post, but I hope they do not make Will OR ANYONE gay just for the sake of 'inclusion.' I really hate that word. In theory it is an amazing word, but it has been appropriated and typically means anything but. At least in my personal experiences. People need to stop focusing on checking off boxes and tell a good story worth watching.

I have stopped watching 99.9% of my shows I used to watch because of this whole need to shoe horn gay characters into everything. I am 100% an ally, but it all seems VERY forced and fake and pandering. Most of my gay family and friends hate it. Whatever happened to telling a good story? When writing your focus should be on THAT and not forced 'diversity.'

When Mike said that to Will I figured it was their attempt to make Will gay, but I do not see Will as interested in ANYONE. I think he just wants to be a kid. I know I was the same way at his age. I didn't want to make out with anyone or go to dances, I wanted to play with my toys on our patio. I got made fun of for it a lot, but when girls my age were getting pregnant at 13 I was still playing Barbie.

So I know some people will think I am a jerk for this post, but my point is this: Everyone wants content creators to force characters into stories so they can be represented or so they can see themselves in a character (which is pretty narcissistic). I grew up reading comics and watching 'boy' TV shows and movies and never once did I think to myself 'Oh, I cannot get into this story or these characters because I do not see myself in them.'

Entertainment, especially fantasy, is supposed to take us OUT of the boring doldrums of reality and present us with a fantastical journey to lose ourselves in. People want to ruin that with agendas and quotas and check marks. That is when entertainment ceases to be entertaining. You can see it is already taking a toll on the entertainment industry.

I was thinking about this topic a bit more while doing dishes and I have to say that I really like how they approached Robin's sexuality. It did not feel forced or shoe horned, it felt natural. I like how they sort of deflected and made you think she was crushing on Steve (poor Steve, he cannot catch a break) when she was really crushing on someone else. How many of us can relate to that? Gay or straight, that is a pretty common phenomenon.

Thank you, everyone. He was my baby brother and best friend, so it has been a tough year. He was only 38 years old when he lost his battle and he and I were super dorks. We liked video games and comics and Sci Fi. He was a good kid and I miss him terribly. He would have loved this season as he really loved spooky stuff. That whole scene with the people walking in and melting back into the monster would have been right up his alley.

I am hoping Hopper is the American. As several people have said they never showed his death, which is usually pretty telling in media. They left doubt and that makes me think that we will see him again. I loved the scene where El read the letter, it was so touching. He is a tragically flawed person, but he had enough room in his heart for that little girl.

I always thought from the beginning of the show that we would see a Joyce and Hopper union. They are both broken people, but they are able to work together and win against IMPOSSIBLE odds. They strengthen each other. You know their back and forth was kind of cute, like two immature kids who did not know how to deal with their feelings.

I think the cast of this show is really amazing. There is not one person that I can pick out that I say 'Gosh, I wish so and so were gone.' The Duffers do a great job of writing the characters in such a way that you invest in them all, even the ones who are classic cliche arch types. You just know they have some redeeming quality and we will see it at some point. I am so glad my brother convinced me to watch this show. I do not watch much TV or media these days for a number of reasons, but I really really enjoy this show.

Also, I think the Russians have two machines. I would have to go back and re-watch it, but I thought that Alexei sort of hinted to that in one of his exchanges or maybe he was just talking about the two keys.

Loved it! I seriously love this show. I came to the game late. I had never heard of it until last summer. My brother convinced me to watch it by telling me it was not scary. I binge watched both seasons hoping season 3 would be out LAST summer. Obviously that was not the case.

I actually just posted this on their FB page:

I loved season 3! You know I almost did not take a chance on this show, but my brother convinced me to watch it. He told me it was not scary because he knew I really did not like scary things. I binge watched the first two seasons last summer thinking season three was coming out. Then it didn't and I almost gave up. I was going to cancel my Netflix (because I really do not use it much) when I heard season three was coming out. I was NOT disappointed. Well, not with the show. I am disappointed that my brother could not watch it, we lost him at the end of January to stage four cancer. He would have absolutely loved this season, so you can imagine that I pretty much bawled through the finale. It is rare these days to feel so connected to a show, especially one whose cast is so young. Well my brother and I grew up in the 80's, so I can see myself in the kids. I am now a Mom, so I can see fragments of myself in the parents. The show is familiar, yet fresh and amazing. You invest in the characters, you almost become another citizen of Hawkins. The Duffer Brothers are a perfect mix of Geek, Fan Boy and Creator. The cast does an amazing job. Every single one of those kids is just phenomenal. The kid who plays Billy really deserves a standing ovation. It is not often you cry for a villain. Looking forward to Stranger Things 4, I hope my brother Gary is watching from heaven.

One of my favorite characters this season was Billy. He was such a d-bag last season and now we know why and it is just heart breaking. It just goes to show you cannot judge a book by its cover. I did not have the best childhood and I grew up with an abusive Father, but unlike Billy it made me want to be a better person. I did not become a statistic like him. In the end though I am glad he was redeemed.

NYC Is anything BUT friendly-  I visit there a lot (my wife's family) and I'm always getting yelled at by someone for not ordering fast enough or getting my transit ticket fast enough at Penn station (not to mention getting pushed and shoved which is a real treat).

At least the people in Seattle are mostly just anti-social passive aggressive-  my wife complains but when I point out that "aggressive aggressive" can be FAR WORSE, she does not disagree

Yeah most of us WNYers want NYC to be separate. The city is awful and the rest of the state gets screwed because of it. A politician just actually submitted a bill to split the state and that honestly would be the best thing that could ever be done as far as this side of the state is concerned :)

I live in WNY and the employees at my Target have always gone above and beyond for my hubby and I. One time an employee opened six boxes of ponies trying to find the ones I was missing. It could be though that I am always polite and always talk to the people at mine. Like a lot of them know me by first name and my kids too. Edit: That sounded harsh, I did not mean to imply that people were not friendly, just that I am always too friendly (according to my friends and family) - LOL!

I'm going to say it right now. TAF Majesty looks weird, like a wallpaper that took on a unicorn shape. I'm thinking they went a little overboard and hopefully, she'll get eyeballs.

I said I did not like it on FB and someone actually put the angry emoticon on my post and then called people on the post haters - LOL!

I did not like the fact that she has no eyes (it is kind of creepy) and I did not like the graphic design all over her. I didn't say that though, I just said I was not a fan of the design.

I am in WNY and I was able to pick up the Stranger Thing's pony yesterday. When I was talking to a few people at Target they said that everything starts on the West Coast and trickles East, so if we have them now then everyone should. Just thought folks might like to know :)

Also, there is a quote from Dustin on the side of the box so I am thinking we might see Apple Jack in Hawkins.

I have three MIB and one loose (that was in a curio cabinet). SSC with Custard is loose. Orange Blossom, Angel Cake and Blueberry Muffin are in the box. I originally was going to buy two of each doll (one to keep MIB and one to unbox), but I could rarely find more than one. Asking what I paid ($10.83 per doll) + shipping.

I have pictures but the image hosting site I use is giving me grief :(
