That came out really nicely, especially for a first try.

WOOOOOOOOOOOOW
I've never seen that custom before. Now I'm drowning in drool. GORGEOUS!!

Thank you!  She's one of a set of kirins I did a few years back. :)  (I haven't done much customizing recently, been too busy.)  I have a whole lot of pics of them in my pony gallery.  http://www.sparkcostumes.com/artwork/thumbnails.php?album=12

My method is really easy, you just roll tiny snakes, and then blend them in at the top.  Though it works with apoxie, I don't know if it would work with an oven bake clay.

I dislike using ebay, ever since my giant Fluttershy auction.  :P  I put hours and hours and hours into promoting the auction, on top of the time it took to make the plush, and everybody I talked to said she would sell for thousands, but she went for the same price I charge for a normal commission, and so I didn't get any extra for all that extra work of publicity, not to mention the stress of watching the auction spend almost all the time at WAY too little money for it to be worth it at all, before a last-minute bid war that still ended disappointingly low, so I don't make plushes to sell any more, I only do commissions.

So yes, this is a commission so it isn't for sale.  Though I'd be happy to make another one.  My commissions are always open, I have a price list and more info here: http://www.sparkcostumes.com/ponyprice.html

she's two feet tall, not counting her horn.  :)  And this pattern is one I made freehand, so I'm really proud of it!  Also I just spent most of today sticking rhinestones on her.  I thought she needed some sparkle in her mane and tail, but I don't think I'll be doing that again!

You can usually deal with the blotching thing by starting your drawing on a test surface, and getting the paint flowing and even before touching what you're actually painting.  At least in my experience so far, I've only used one, which I got for doing gold leaf detailing on dragons. :)

I just finished a second Fluttershy, using the same pattern, though with embroidered eyes and cutie marks, and a different shade of fabric for the hair.  (I can never decide which shade I like better.)

These are stunning, are they suitable for kids my girls would love one:)

They're *safe* for kids, no choking hazards or anything, but they're hand-sewn so they're very slightly less robust than store bought plushes, so they may not last if the kids are really rough with them.  So it mostly depends on the kid in question. :)

I am super-picky about wings, I don't usually like sculpted wings, but those are awesome.  The whole thing is really nicely done!

Very nice work! Now you should make another and put it on ebay to see how high the bidding goes for. lol visitors can't see pics , please register or login

I hate doing that.  Last time I put a plush on ebay I got about half when I expected for it.  I don't want to go through all that hassle and have that happen again, I'd rather just do commissions.

Somebody commissioned this pair, a large fluttershy plush and a large Luna beanie.  Just finished them last night.

More pony plush!  I have a lot of them on my plate right now. :)  Though this is the last one for a week or so, probably.

It's Vinyl Scratch, aka. DJ-Pon3!  This is an 18" beanie, so it's a good hugging size.

:)  I generally make whatever I get commissioned for.  If somebody wanted a Bushwooly I'm sure I could make one!
