Currently dividing my gaming time between Guild Wars 2 (still trying to recruit for the Skrittsburg Foreign Legion), and EverQuest Next Landmark Alpha (mining obsidian while I try to visualize a good design for the Ravenplume Tower).

I voted Gilligan and Skipper, but I meant to select Gilligan and The Professor.

And yes, the recent loss of Russell Johnson was truly some sad news, rating just a tad below the loss of Fred Rogers (aka Mister Rogers) back in 2003.

Just right off the top of my head...

1:  Get Star-Watcher FiMinized (that is, get a pic of him made in FiM style)
2:  Sell more stuff on Etsy, eCrater, and Amazon
3:  Start investing regularly in silver.
4:  Get old school debt paid off

I would say, continue to remain single and unattached, but after close to 46 years now of being totally unused, that doesn't require any resolve anyway.  Too late to get started now.  :D

Off Topic / Wow! Most Epic Costumes Ever!
« on: November 01, 2013, 06:22:30 AM »
I just have to say, as far as creativity goes, I have the most awesome family ever.  I was totally stunned by the costumes my youngest sister (Amy) and her youngest daughter (Emily) put together for themselves yesterday.

I just have to show the shot they took out in front of my sister's art gallery...

When she posted this on Facebook, I awarded her 10 Newmans.  :D

I worked at Disney world and my Fav attraction is the Enchanted tiki room which is an anamatronicsow with singing birds..hence the name Tikibirds

the original Tiki Room at Disneyland (which I remember experiencing back in 1974 or 1975) has always been my favorite non-ride attraction.

Pony Corral / Daicon IV Video - Pony Style
« on: October 18, 2013, 12:09:20 PM »
I don't know if anyone here remembers the promo video that was produced for Daicon IV ages ago (that utilized Twilight, by the Electric Light Orchestra), but it appears somepony has remixed the video and ponyized it...

Pony Brag Arena / Re: The Loot Fairy Came Today!
« on: September 11, 2013, 10:16:23 PM »
Oh man you nabbed a Dancing Butterflies in that haul, out of all the Twice as Fancys she was my fave. Lucky ducky! :newpony:

If I was going to keep one, she would be my choice.  She is just so preciously cute.  However, all 4 are now sold (each went for $80).  Sugarberry and Sweet Tooth are on their way to Belgium.  Dancing Butterflies and Up Up and Away will be heading to the other side of the U.S. on Friday.

Those prices are why I would not have been able to keep them at this time.  I certainly would not have dropped that kind of scratch on them myself, so even though I paid a grand total of $2.16 for them, I was in possession of $320 worth of Ponies.

I am actually currently not actively collecting.  I already have a rather extensive G1 collection accumulated over more than a decade and a half.  However, I am not trying to catch 'em all, and currently don't have room to display more than a select few.  So the herd is packed away in a couple large boxes in the closet.  Once I get to the point where my student loans are wiped out, and I have found my self employed niche that will allow me to live happily ever after in a larger place, I will start collecting again.  And by that time, prices should be crashed considerably.

Until then though, my life is sell sell sell (4 eBay accounts, plus eCrater, Etsy, eBid, and Bonanza).

Just found these little ladies in a $2 baggie at Goodwill...

I'm guessing that whoever did the pricing must have thought they were fakies, because G1 Ponies tend to either get sent off to Goodwill's own auction site or they get greedy and price them at prices unworthy of a place calling itself a thrift store.

That said, after looking them up, I obviously can not afford to keep them myself.  So, time to put in an hour or so of work tonight.  :D

Just recently got ahold of a lot of 20 Street Sharks action figures.  I've managed to positively identify most of them, but there is one that I just keep coming up blank on.  He is black skinned, has a silver mouth and throat, and wears a maroon jacket.

Here is a shot of him front and back.  Any ideas who this one is?

One of the biggest benefits to receiving payments via echeck is that you have no fear of half a year later being hit by a credit card chargeback, since the payment was funded directly from their checking account.

One thing I would recommend though is when you contact the buyer to let them know that you will ship after the echeck clears, advise them that if the bank account that funds their PayPal account has a debit card associated with it, that they can use that card on PayPal as if it was a credit card, and payments would be instant.  Effectively the same funding source, but no echeck delay.
