I don’t think I’ve ever seen him, but yeah, that’s not really my favorite color scheme. The orange looks kinda...not good. It’s a shame because I love cherry symbols. He’d be fine if he had a different body color (or at least not such a weird orange LOL)

Neon pink and lime green
Blue and pink
Blue and green
I have many, many others that I love, but those are my top 3. Any neon color combos are my favorite LOL

Rockin Beats- I love their colors and their abstract, 80’s/early 90’s symbols. Plus they were pretty much the only ponies from Tales that folks in the US could have LOL.
Baby Ballerinas- Admittedly, this is a bit of a nostalgic bias, as Baby Sweetsteps was my first G1 as a kid. Even so, I love their little poseable legs and their molded leotards.
Sundazzle- Neon ponies are my absolute favorite, and I love the crimps in their manes.

I was happy with it, and learned quite a bit about the history that I hadn’t known before. I was also glad it didn’t focus *too* much on G4 and it’s fan base. Granted I wish they didn’t show all that footage of bronies and wish they didn’t actually go and interview one, but it was short enough that it didn’t affect the episode itself. I do wish the episodes were a bit longer, because it felt like they just breezed. by G2-3.5 in order to get to G4.
Also man if they decided to go ahead and make that grey/black CP G1 proto for some special release or something I wouldn’t complain LOL

I’m thrilled they dropped the “Friendship is Magic” title, so maybe we can just have the ponies be ponies and sell toys like MLP is meant to, rather than force-feed love and friendship messages. I’m all for this!

Same. Hard same. I was excited until I saw a closeup of her, and I hated what I saw. Why are Happy Meal toys so cheap-looking now? Granted they’ve never been the pinnacle of top quality, but at least they were way more substantial back in the 90’s and early 2000’s. I might still try to see if I can get a McNugget buddy and Dino Changeable, but now I’m wondering if those are going to be as bad as that cheap pony.

Unpopular opinion, but... I love these. G4 designs looked so boring to me. I love the somewhat more angular design of these toys. I’ve been terribly bored of the main 6 but I can 100% get behind these. I do hope they’re a little bit bigger than regular G4’s though. I couldn’t stand how small those brushables were.

Yikes! I didn’t notice those 3. What is even up with Twist? That is the most horrifying design for a pony I think I’ve ever seen. She shouldn’t even be able to hold her head up with that physics-defying design. It’s a shame that Silver and Diamond look so beautiful and Twist has to come and ruin the aesthetic.

Leave stuff ambiguous for fans to debate strikes me as weak writing. Your job is to tell a story, not leave a bunch of loose threads for the fans to pick at.
This. Usually, I’m for stuff being left to interpretation, because IMO, it’s also bad to hold the reader/watcher’s hand throughout. But yeah, it was pretty weak writing in this case. Though... Spoiler I think I’m mostly bitter about them just hinting at Granny dying, rather than showing how that was dealt with. How did AJ react? Did her passing break the family for a bit? Big Mac obviously held some strong emotions about his parents, so how did he take it when the current matriarch passed? What about Applebloom? Did she rely on her friends? Could have been a really amazing episode, because every kid experiences the loss of a grandparent at some point... But the Apples are just fine and dandy in the end while AJ wears GS’s shawl. They seem to want to be able to tackle tough subjects sometimes, but they just skip over the obvious loss of a fan favorite. You want to be as groundbreaking a show as you claim, FiM (you’re not), then go all the way rather than kinda-sorta hinting at difficult subject matter and then pulling a JK Rowling on fans via Twitter.

About Cozy, I’m still absolutely thrilled with how her arc ended, because of this reaction. Whatever your age, if you commit a crime knowingly you should pay for it. That’s one of the few lessons this show got right.

Decided to watch again. I saw the leak and wasn’t that impressed, but decided to check it out when it was actually aired for real. Spoiler I’m still thrilled that we actually have villains that didn’t reform! Steven Universe is terrible with its redemption of all villains, but I’m so happy this series decided to not go that route.
The more I think of the whole “Grogar is Discord” thing, the more I think that is incredibly lazy. I suppose it was too late in the game to introduce a new villain. But he wasn’t even needed. Why not just take him out of the equation and have those 3 villains get together of their own volition?
How old are these older Main 6 in the epilogue? The “middle-aged” look wasn’t really prevalent in the series. It was baby, young, adult, elderly. That was kinda weird.
In the end, I’m absolutely thrilled this thing is finally over. I really hope the next one just goes back to mindless commercialism like MLP is supposed to be, rather than shoving love and friendship and all that ridiculousness down our throats.
