Thank you all so much!!! I'm glad so many of you enjoyed the site. Vintergatan, I will be sure to update the Icelandic Sheepdog page just a bit, thanks for the info!!! Sometimes it is really hard for me to find information for different countries, France is the WORST because a lot of their breeds are really obscure.

It really isn't help, exactly. Some of you older members may remember my website, I've put it here in off topic a couple of times - www.worldlydogs.com - and I have just had a HUGE revamp I would love to share if anyone wants to stop by. I've still got about 50 pages that are missing photos, but they'll be up within the week.

I've focused heavily on the history of dog breeds, where they come from, who is who's ancestor/descendent and am pretty proud of how far it has come since its early days. I just finished the AKC so every breed is represented and now have a total of 330 breeds overall.

I also set up a Facebook page if anyone wants to check that out where we do daily trivia and are starting a bit of a community, its still slow going, but we're having a blast and would love to have more join in!! www.facebook.com/worldlydogs

Thanks for the advice, Cherry....its a tough call, I was thinking about going with a package that had the canon rebel, but after viewing a few sites it looks like the Sony SLT A65 might actually be the better camera quality wise.

Hey everyone, it's been a while (again), but I thought maybe I could stop by and see if anyone has advice/opinions on what cameras they use. I want to make the switch to DSLR, but I don't want to get anything *too* expensive. 500-1000ish is my range, on the lower end of that would make me much happier. It doesn't have to be a brand new shiny model with a ton of mega pixels, and I'd rather put extra money into additional lenses at a later date...

Hi!

I have been wanting to have this piece done for a long time, but I've never hired anyone to do a commission before, so this is all very new to me. I am looking for someone that has experience with both dogs and cats, but I'm open to all types of media depending on your work/style (although color is preferred). It would be basic, no background, with three dogs (irish wolfhound, saluki, and miniature pinscher) and cat. I'm thinking of something with a 'real' cartoon quality, not quite 'disneyish' but something along that line if that makes sense. If your interested please reply or PM me with links to some of your work and pricing.

Thanks!

I unfortunately had something come up and am going to have to cancel. *sniff* I just have way to much going on right now...

I'll be late, so hopefully there's still some pony peeps around!

I will likely also be late, about an hour, but I'll be there!

display is not the same as actually selling. I plan to bring my items and make selling arrangements for after the meet or just take a walk around the corner so as to not be on park property.

Same here, some of these extras NEED to go!!

I just wanted to give this a bump and let you guys know I went ahead and joined about 2 months ago, one of the BEST choices I've ever made in my life. It's so EASY and I've lost over 20 pounds so far!!

We did a pony taboo and pictonary at the meet I held a few years ago.

I'll be there, 2 adults, and I'll bring a desert, probably lemon bars.

Hmm....I lost my Megan to that set so long ago, but Sundance's hair changes color in the sun - is it possible Megan's dress does the same?

Either day works for me, later in the afternoon is always better since I have to work. Time I can play around with a bit though.

I'm game for anywhere in the valley, Murray Park is a GREAT location.

I think the east end of Liberty Park is a nice place. Good and shady and has some tables and BBQ areas.  My hubby's family uses that part for family reunions all the time.

That is a nice spot!

And I didn't know we had gotten wave 2....how do you know if it's wave 2 instead of 1?

Customs / Re: Mash-Up Swap [ponies arriving!]

Can you contact ups about it?

I sent it USPS, and apparently since it was a 'small' flat rate box they don't track those once it leaves the country, even though it has a tracking number...

I don't know what to do, this is the second time I've joined a swap, sent my item and NEVER heard anything more from my partner.
