Woahh, they're releasing baby Equestria girls too!

This one is actually a joke though, unlike the actual real baby ponies. :P

There's an uncanny similarity to the LOL dolls in my opinion with the stupidly big round eyes and, *sigh*, the mouth WAY too far up. Someone thought the duck lips were a good idea? It's possible to give the doll a "bottle mouth" without making it creepy, MLP has done it multiple times, which makes me think more about the LOL inspiration...

At least the 2nd one is more appealing. The 1st looks like some mutant hybrid of a pony and a bear that was dipped in elmer's glue and then coated with glitter.

If you ask me, I prefer G1. The baby pony in the first photo is awful!!  :X

Just in case people missed out on this: license pending - FLUTTER PONIES!!!!! Buying multiples simply for the wings alone is worth it! lol Now I want Wingers too. Yes, those flutter wings YESS!!!

That one pony with purple hair and what appears to be a dog on the purple Pretty Parlor playset on the far right. Look at it real close on the side of the photo. Isn't that Lemon Drop and Brandy on the side of the purple pretty parlor playset?

What I want to see is more retro MLP recreated and released by Basic Fun. Are they there at the event or no?

I collected a few G4s before but I lost interest in them and gave them up. They not the type of MLP series I'm most accustomed to. I prefer G1. Nothing else.

With all those new awesome retro ponies coming out I sure wish that I have a Target store in my neck of the woods. I live in Owosso, MI and I don't have a Target store in my area. :( The only way I can get them is to order them online. Mainly on Ebay. Other times I'll have to order them from the Target website where it's cheaper and when it's available.

That's cool! Too bad I don't have a Target store in my area. I'll have to order them online when they are available.

Pony Corral / That stubborn bridle from the 35th Anniversary Pretty Parlor.
« on: December 27, 2018, 11:29:24 AM »
It's great collecting MLP, the ones I grew up with from the 80s'. The 35th Anniversary versions are the best. And that includes the Pretty Parlor remake with Peachy and Twinkles (the Custard mold version). But I have only one small complaint - the bridle.  That stubborn bridle I often have a hard time putting it on Peachy's head. Most of the time I got it to hook up just fine, other times I don't. Today I had to have use tweezers to try to pull the bridle together when I tried to put the bridle on Peachy again.

I even tried boiling the plastic bridle in water for a minute or two to make it soft, a bit stretchable and easy for me to wrap around the pony's head since the bridle is made from firm plastic. But it still won't go around Peachy's head all the way.

I think that the hard plastic heads of the ponies are what makes it hard for the bridle to attach itself to the pony's head. You have to squeeze the pony's head to get the bottom part of the bridle to hook onto the latch. But it's a bit difficult with the ponies' bodies made from a much different kind of plastic than the soft plastic originals.

What Basic Fun should've done is make the bridle a little bit bigger so it'll be much easier for me to put the bridle onto the heads of all the ponies instead of just Peachy.

To those of you who have the 35th Anniversary version of the Pretty Parlor, how do you manage to fit the bridle onto Peachy's head without pulling your hair out and wreaking the pony's head?

Off Topic / Re: 9/15/16 My Harp Story

Turlough O'Carolan (1670-1738) was the last of the great Irish Harpers. He composed over 200 known pieces. Much of what he composed is in honor of all of the patrons who invited, listened, and supported his great cause. He was blind due to smallpox he was stricken with when he was 17 years old. He survived and ultimately rose to become a touring harper. With a harp, guide and a horse in hand, O'Carolan traveled all over Ireland performing and composing the most unforgettable pieces for a lot of people. He was so popular that it is said that no weddings, funerals, or any other kind of celebrations would start until O'Carolan arrives.

O'Carolan died in 1738, but His music is still being played and enjoyed to this very day. To know more about this famous harper, check out this website here.

I tried to give my best smile when I took this photo. I have dentures so it was a little difficult for me to get the best smile in the photo from far away. But I did smile my best and that's all that matters to me.

Two years ago today. After 25 years of struggle, I finally was able to afford this blessed harp named Grover.

Believe it or not, I found a few Retro collector ponies at Meijers today. I found Blue Belle and Minty, the only two ponies that are in stock at Meijers thus far. I honestly hope that Meijers will stock up on more retro MLP soon. I'm way too eager to buy more and more retro ponies as days go by and the holiday shopping gets closer by the week.
