Tom Baker is the one I remember watching as a kid so is the one I judge all by now :) David Tennant is pretty attractive though, I'll call him second favourite

Pony Corral / What markings are on the feet of the re releasd G1 ponies?
« on: December 16, 2021, 08:54:48 PM »
There is an auction I'm looking to bid on with a cheap collectors pose pony but the eyes look a bit off, like it's not a fake but it just looks a bit different to the original eye shapes and it made me wonder about ways to tell the difference between the re releases.

I figure first most obvious would be the hoof stamps, I have no idea what the re re have on their feet though, also is the material its made of feel the same as the G1's or is is thinner, thicker not as pliable or whateve?

Mostly I'm asking because I've never seen one out of its packet but I'm sure theres a few here that have ;)

Thanks in advance guys, I appreciate any information

Does Red Vs Blue count? I love comedy, Community, Cheers, Brooklyn 99, The Good Place, and Parks and Rec are all very popular in my house but at the moment the one we are all fascinated with is Wandavision.  I'm in love with the whole thing and cant wait to find out WTH is happening

We remain at Level 1 - Prepare.
Things are 90% normal. If you have a cold or are unwell you have to wear a mask but that's it. We must scan into the covid tracker everytime we enter somewhere new.
We have no cases in the community at all - all cases are at the border.

Pony Corral / Re: POTD 1/22/2021 Powder
« on: January 23, 2021, 09:37:36 PM »
My first pony! I have a couple now, not an army but if I could have my way it would be.

If I'm doing anything vaguely MLP related and I need a pony for an example (or victim) I go for Powder. My favourite!!

Thanks for the info guys :) I've only got one set so far so I guess I'll splash out and buy the other 2 since it seems the best way to make something continue is to throw money at it.  I really hope they do splash out on more moulds because I'd love a tiny Powder

Pony Corral / Worlds Smallest My Little Ponies

I was wondering if anyone knows anything about them?  They are so adorable and just the perfect size for my Jem dolls to pose with as if they are toys (so meta lol)

Anyway the packaging says series 1 but I havent been able to find any information of more.  Does series 1 refer to the whole "Worlds Smallest" or just the MLP ones? and will there be more?

Any information will be gratefully accepted as I've fallen in love and want them all :)

I watched the Star Trek, Transformers and Hello Kitty episodes last night and it was so cool seeing the history of all of them.   I've got my fingers crossed for MLP next season :)

The Dollhouse / Re: Lady Lovely Locks- Show me!
« on: March 06, 2018, 02:44:49 AM »
I wish I had some. I loved lady lovely locks when I was a kid.  I had a book, a sort of activity book but soft covered not like an annual, but it had some constellations and the names and I can still remember the pictures.  Every time I look at the sky I think of Leo and Scorpio surrounded by pixietails like the pictures in the book.  It actually really helped me to identify the stars.

10/10 would read it again if I could

I grew up on that flavour of music, my Grandfather came to NZ from Ireland when he was in his early 20's and man that guy loved to sing!! I have a really weird question, when he started getting dementia he used to sing about "Aunty Mary had a canary up the leg of her drawers" does anyone know what that is from?

Ghost of the Doll is a good site to identify Sweetie Pups (and other vintage toys). http://www.ghostofthedoll.co.uk/sweetiepups.php

Dont click that link!! I just lost 4 hours in a haze of retro awesomeness!!

I have a couple! none of the dolls unfortunately but I have a long eared thing and  a round thing with a propeller on its head.

I loved the dolls as a kid but not for very long so I dont really remember much about them except that they come with jewellery that kicked off a life long love of aurora borealis coloured crysatals for me

Off Topic / Re: Let's Talk about Jem and the holograms
« on: January 02, 2017, 05:50:02 PM »
I love Jem and the Holograms! When I was a kid I would run home everyday after school cause it started at 4. As a kid I had some dolls; I remember Snergy, Jetta and GnG Jem for sure.

Favourite songs?

Universal Appeal, Misfits
Friend or Stranger, JatH
Like a Dream, JatH
I Am a Giant, Misfits.

I loved the episodes where Kimber and Stormer team up and when Roxy leaves the Misfits. The characters all seemed very moved by what was happening which went against everthing cartoons were in those days.

And, finally, about a month ago I scored 13 old school Jem dolls (almost one of each character minus Jetta and Clash) plus shoes and clothes for all and some instruments for $95 NZD, those ladies look fabulous and they all have been extremely well cared for, hair is not frizzy, no marks on the dolls only one broken joint out of the whole lot.  When they first came in the mail I just sort of hugged them for a few minutes haha.

I know its not a popular opinion but I just dont like the look of the integrity toys dolls, they look waspish and sharp which to me as a kid was what Barbie was, Jem dolls seemed softer, more, I dont know how to say it really; the big head and legs that didnt end in pegs just made the dolls seem so much nicer and the Integrity dolls just (to me) dont convey that same feeling.  Also theyre so expensive, I doubt I'll ever have enough spare cash to justify buying one
