A friend of mine from France told me they are already there but not in every shop, in the one in her area there are none. She sent me this link to buy online and pick up at the drive : https://m-marsacsurlisle.joueclubdrive.fr/mon-petit-poney-a83359.html
So they appear like magic without telling anyone? Good com for the brands!!! I am really disappointed...

I have to agree and put some more on the basket.
I bought a Twilight Sparkle just for the Spike she came with, and it was amazing how tiny she is, compared to my G1 and XXL G3 she is like microscopic. For strage and collecting it’s cool, but l could choke on her.
The yesterday l showed her to my bae saying “look how cute she is, so tiny....” and he replied “hum, she looks like a deer... l prefer the older ones, but tiny is nice”...
Please horse/pony like toys... or if you want to do deer-with-huge-eyes-like then out horns on it.

I'd rather see a rare G1 used for the project to make many new ones than see it customized into some random OOAK.
I agree in part with this. I have been, and still am, looking for Mimic like crazy, and l sometimes find mimics butchered to become uglys OOAK. And by this l mean, some people are actual artists with customs, and others are just not at all...

Regarding the prices, well l have bought several HQ1C ponies (some of them are still to arrive) at really cheap costs, because they were promos or “baity”ones. I love baity cause it allows me to do some magic on them.
And if Hasbro was really interested in us as collectors or buyers, they would do more “reruns”of the G1s, what they don’t. (I am not talking about the 35 anniversary, but real common market sales). They moved past us and forgot us. Now we grew up and got the techniques to have what we dreamed of while growing: our own ponies. And this is what l like the most from this project. It is ours, not a brand company’s.

I am really considering having just one for me. I don’t like earth ponies but it could be just a collector thing to have one from the IS. Although l WILL unbox her. But as you say. Shipping costs can be a pain mostly because not everybody has the same ones. I have bought stuff from the US with shipping costs around 15$ and others that ask for more  than 20$. That’s the bummer....

Well this is exciting! Just imagine getting Starshine with no symbol rust? Wow!
Here is the link to Basic Fun's Facebook page.

https://www.facebook.com/basicfuntoys/

Also, the pictures on the Basic Fun website show Sunlight the correct color but Moonstone is misnamed Cotton Candy.

Ponyfan

With the parlour label, there's some subliminal cotton candying going on.
She's pink. I blame Pinkie Pie. Cotton Candy has to be her ancestor.

I didn't realize the stickers have new artwork on them.  I'd like to see a pic of Baby Lemon Drop's sticker. :)  I love that they included the rainbow sticker on the Rainbow ponies' brushes.

I got confused with all the different company names.  Thank you for the direct link, Ponyfan!
Sunlight's symbol still kills me, but I'll be sure to ask if the rainbow ponies will ever be coming here.

I'm glad I could help. :) I tried going the Bridge Direct Facebook page first and it said that they had merged with Basic Fun.

So in love with those Rainbow ponies!  I hope that Sunlight's markings are just prototype.  But I'll be happy to have her even if they aren't.

I did find Butterscotch today!  She was tossed in the back of the end cap behind other toys.  She's very pretty.  I'd like to find Blossom as all of mine have faded to gray.

Congrats. :) I got Butterscotch this weekend too.

I was successful in my Target quest today!!  After multiple visits and lots of searching, I was able to get the three I wanted the most!  I got Minty, Blue Belle, and Blossom!  I almost didn't get Blossom because I originally had planned on choosing 2, but my mom convinced me to splurge and get Blossom too as I'd probably regret leaving her behind  :P  I'm so glad that I FINALLY got my hands on them!

I'm really impressed with how nice they are, the hair is beautiful and I think the plastic has a nice feel as well.  I look forward to seeing what ponies Bridge Direct rolls out in the future!  I'm sooo excited that these weren't just a one off and that there are plans for more.  I'd love to see them do rare ponies like Mountain Boys or even brand new ponies, like that rainbow one from Rescue at Midnight Castle or the Galaxy ponies.  I'll gladly join in the people messaging Bridge Direct and asking for those.  I'd also LOVE it if they did the TAF ponies.  I wouldn't complain about an affordable Night Glider!

Congrats HelloGoodbye. :) I love the 35th anniversary Minty.

Ponyfan

I wouldn't mind another Nightglider at ALL either! And I am sure you are right re: Pinkie and Cotton Candy. Kappa does call her Cotton Candy in the movie after all so perhaps there is a connection.

And please Mr. Basic Fun, don't forget us here in SA. We are very friendly and promise to buy lots of ponies. Just send them here, ok?

Sorry for the long quote. But as l said in early posts it would be just amazing they put out some HTF ponies, like TAF ones or the rare TE... l would go crazy if Mimic did appear, as for Nightglider of others like them. I wouldn’t mind if they skip flutters and wingers.... and what about Adult Sea Ponies?

The drop by drop info is killing all of us, but l am really happy that this has gone way wider than just US vs Europe. I hope more stores will show up in other places of the world. Maybe South America. Their market was pretty powerful back then.

I cant get over how many sets of these ponies are on ebay now! Is everyone buying them to re sell them?

If they sell, then I guess that's all Hasbro etc need to know. More worrying is the scalping. I mean, $15, fine, cover your fees  -but $30? Taking them out of stores and away from people who want them to make a profit? Morally wrong to me...
I have seen them for 50$ which l find really a rip off. Some people really play on others hopes. This is why l insisted on telling everypony the news l got, l hate ppl taking advantage of others.

The utterly agonising irony if Hasbro released commemorative versions of Firefly and Glory and yet never sold them in the UK.

But if they do, it won't be rerelease for the UK, it will be the first time those ponies are released there. Better late than never!

If the first Rainbow set is the next to be reproduced, I guess that feels a little bit boring, but if they look nice I will definitely be happy! And with those three molds they can easily make most of the other ponies from year 2. The shy pose in particular was used for a lot of noteworthy ponies during G1.
I just read on our spanish group that a swedish store has confirmed the first rainbow pony set to be delivered in their shop somewhere around February and they confirmed France too to have rainbow ponies as a 35th anniversary. So we can relax and wait here in Europe.

Again.

People should absolutely not be paying scalpers for these ponies. Not to import them, not to get them quickly, not at all. All that will do is set the market in stone and encourage more scalpers. So let people sell them on ebay for silly money. Just don't buy them.
Exactly my point. Seeing 35th anniversary pomies being sold on eBay for 49,99$ when they cost 10$ is too much for me to bare. I am not a desperate collector. Since they told us we would have them in Europe, then we will wait. Besides the US is not the only pony market in the world... at least l hope so.

In the spanish fcb forum we have been told that they will come later on to the UK and Europe, to be patient and do not fall for spending lots of money on ponies we will have a few months later. But that is all.
I must say that even though everyone does whatever he or she wants, l have seen people taking advantage of this topic and selling ponies for 5 times their actual price, playing on the wanting of others. Ebay tends to go crazy on people’s dreams.
I, personally, would not pay a little fortune for them if they are only sold in the US, ok it is a big market, but the rest of the world we do exist too. And earth ponies are not my most wanted ones. If they sell unicorns or other sets, maybe.
By the way my wish would be they put out some Mimics so that people would stop selling them as if they were made of gold. It could be so much fun to have actual new TE ponies. Same as for other HTF ponies.

I think each and every official G4 plush is ugly. The only ones that look nice are the BaB but I hate the nylon hair and costs.

That's why I got the Chinese factory ones on ebay who look show accurate and even have their marks on both sides.
Hasbro should have made them hand over the patterns before they sent a C&D. Their plushies looked super cute and had nice quality.

Oooh I'd love to see pictures!

I have some Ty plushies and I think they are cute, and I'd love to have BaB plushies but I can't afford them.  But in general I agree plushies could be much better.

I don't like Flutter Pony wings.  I do have one Flutter with original wings and she's very special of course.  But I just don't think they look like wings.  I like the Summer/Windy Wing Ponies much better.  Their wings are much prettier and more creative, plus they are more durable.  I think the ponies themselves are cuter too.  I do like Flutter Ponies though!  I do like the iridescence of their wings and their delicate look, I just think they could have been shaped better.

That is why l was so happy to get Flutters with no wings, so l could make my own ones more accurate with the wings they should have gotten. The original ones are too weird for me.

So just in the US for now? I hope they will come to Europe too. And while wishing, other sets too. At least not only earth ponies.

The only time I am really picky about the toys looking exactly like they do in the show is when the toys are way off like the pink Celestia toys. That didn't make any sense because she's white in the show but the first toys of her were all pink.

I don't mind differences in G1 between the toys and the show. Most of them are pretty accurate to the corresponding toy except for hair colors,  I think one of the sea ponies in Rescue from Midnight Castle was colored a little differently than the toy. The one that matches Bowtie's colors.

Ponyfan
Fizzy has her hair different in the show as for Whizzer... so l rehaired my toys. I grew up watching the tv show and not the comics so for me the canon should be tv (regarding hair and colors l mean).

Some poses are really odd, like some earth pony poses, bowtie pose is freaky. Dancing butterflies too, and gusty pose also. Besides sometimes it doesn’t match the pony, like Gusty should have been in another unicorn pose.

I sent you a PM but it says some error, l don't want to be sending like 1000 times the same one ;-)
