Pony Corral / Re: How do you organize your stored ponies?
« on: September 08, 2016, 07:30:50 PM »
I have a few ways of keeping them organized.

Totes: I have three with trays for the upper part (perfect for babies).  I mostly have bins from Target that are the right height for adult ponies. The babies I store in rows by release year. The adults I store by group. I try to keep groups from different years together but they don't always store nicely in the bins. Meaning one pony will not fit or I have an open spot (perfect for a mail order).  I then label each bin with year and group fir each group in the bin.

Binder: I also have a binder where I check off my ponies. Admittedly I need to update it.  I make notes in there too. I do minor restores so I try to keep up with what I have done to who and recently where I bought each pony.

Spreadsheet: this is only for G1 as of now but I also keep inventory in a spreadsheet.

Dropbox: Each pony has a picture in my Dropbox organized by Gen, Year, and group.  It helps me SO MUCH when shopping.  I have drop box on my phone so I always have visual.

It's a lot like gymnastics. I always wanted to take gymnastics but my family couldn't afford it. It's like living my childhood dream now except I can't do the splits. But I can do pretty wild back bend naturally.  I used to fly but now I do static trapeze. It's not as high up (body length plus reach) but there is no net only mats and a coach or spotter.  I have seen many people conquer height fears by flying trapeze. It's amazing to watch.  If it's in your area and you have friend to join you, you should try. At the very least they will just have you swing and not do a knee hang.  :)

I know what you mean about depression and meds. Thankfully I do have meds.  I didn't realize how much I need them until I went off for a month.  It was an internal nightmare. Stay strong!

Yes. I went last year and I am going this year.

The Jem fans are super friendly and inviting. It's a really small show where everyone attends every panel together.  I never met a group of people at a convention that were more friendly.  Everyone compliments everyone on their costumes. The crowd is definitely more 80s cartoon then integrity but there are many people there that collect integrity.  The actors from the show are a lot of fun too. Ari Gold was taking selfies with us last year.  Britta was singing with fans during the karaoke portion of the masquerade.  It's small, intimate, and a lot of fun.

I hope you come. I would love to meet more pony people.

I love tea!  Steep the tea longer with a cover on the cup. If it's a large mug try using two bags. I usually add a little honey.

Before I went all herbal I used to get Bigelow Vanilla Chai, and a variety of Stash tea.

Now I drink herbal naturally decaffinated. Yogi Peach Detox, and Yogi Bedtime among others.

I would definitely open her up. I have a paradise I deflocked to get the terrible smoke off of her but it didn't help because it was inside too.

I may try that kitty litter tip...

I tried steamed vinegar and baking soda. No luck.

I didn't know they were based on baby blossoms pose.  I guess my girl just got extra long limbs though. To stand level I have to pose her more like Posey.

I am not a fan either.

I was collecting them but decided to stick to deflocking them instead. I was originally keeping a flocked and deflock of each. I put all my flocked girls on sale. I keep searching around for ponies with shabby flocking to deflock.

If I remember correctly those legs can be pulled out. I think someone may have had a little fun...

Yes they can be pulled out and I thought that at first but none of the legs are backwards and on the long side the shorter leg is in the back just like the shorter side. If I switched them she would be have really crazy legs.

Funny enough I bought a petticoat on eBay from China. It was put in the post on the 18th and just made it to NY today!  Every time I buy from China it takes around 2 weeks.  From the 19th to the 2nd tracking told me "origin post is preparing shipping."

Hang in there.

Pony Corral / Ballet Baby with Odd Legs???
« on: September 02, 2016, 10:06:30 PM »
Hi all!  I tried the search to see if this has been discussed and I didn't see it mentioned.

I just got the last ballet baby to complete my set, Baby Soft Steps.  Oddly her right side legs are longer then her left on the front and back.  I don't mind the oddity but is this normal?  I haven't noticed this on my other 3 ballet babies.

Introductions / Hi I am Ally.

Hi everyone.  I am new to the forum. I have known about it for years but I have never been the best at forums but I finally decided to join.

I have been in love with My Little Pony since I had my first Firefly as a child and I never stopped loving them. I started collecting as an adult in 2000 but due to some unfortunate circumstances I lost my small collection. I began collecting again about five years ago but more aggressively recently after a break up.  Those ponies can cure!

I do some restores. I have tried customizing. I am quite crafty. I am a seamstress. I have been costuming for about six years. I am also a static trapeze student.  I stay pretty busy.

I don't know what else I should write.... I am excited to be here. I really enjoy getting to know other pony people.

Man. I used to have a photo bucket log ago. Maybe I should see if it still exists....
