I noticed while I was looking on G4 pony lots and I noticed something strange: visitors can't see pics , please register or loginIs it just me or does the one on the left look to be a bit more 'pearly' textured than the one on the right? Is there a pearly rainbow dash version out there somewhere or is it just be the way the seller took the picture and it's just a tad shinier because of the lighting?

i'm a new my little pony collector, at least for the first generation dolls i am, i'm wondering which pony should i try to save up for next? i'm interested in saving my allowance for a rarer/more expensive pony than i currently have (i have about 8 or 9 common ponies at the moment) i'm just not sure. should i save my money for something pricey like i was thinking i wanted to save up for a glow n show, or maybe even piggy because i want one so badly! but i'm not sure if it's a good idea yet because i'm still kind of a new collector and maybe i should be sticking to common ponies for right now?
so basically im just asking if anyone knows which slightly rare, but not too quite rare ponies i should try to shoot for. one's that are maybe a little less costly ;P opinions please? :V

Sometimes I trade, or buy g1 ponies for my little cousins, my youngest cousin is 4 and I gave him a (sort of junky xD) Majesty, and bought a Glory for my other cousin's 7th birthday but she traded her back to me for one of my g3 ponies she liked better i got my cousins interested in the old my little ponies just with my extreme obsession haha xD

Not really a devastating story at the time when it happened but I really regret it now  My very first pony (a g4 Rarity) I used as bait for customizing because at the time i was younger and starting to get bored of g4 dolls so I took all her hair out and made a really ugly custom out of clay and paint, yuckk. Now i'm starting to wish I hadn't done that because she was my very first my little pony and now I don't have her anymore :C (My friend and I also did the same thing to one of her rarer g4 ponies in 2011, we didn't know it was rare because we thought it was just another one of those weird non-official characters fakies that we thought were worthless until now 0: I still cry when I think about it, since then i've just been searching for a rarity that was like the one I had but they don't seem to make any of the boxed mane six ponies anymore without giving them ugly tattoos or wings or ribbon hair (seriously, what is up with that ribbon-in-the-hair thing ?!  ) Now I only do customs on cheapy bagged ponies or fakies, not the nice ones in boxes anymore. xD (and i'm much better at doing them now, i think :0

i hate to have my first non-introduction post be something asking for help... but... visitors can't see pics , please register or login visitors can't see pics , please register or loginvisitors can't see pics , please register or logini recently got this sugar sweet on ebay, not for collecting/restoring i just wanted a cute pink unicorn. but when she got here her hair was crazy frizzy and her hair smell was so strong it made me feel sick (it didn't smell bad, i've just always been very sensitive to dolls with scented hair strawberry shortcakes and whatnot.) so i tried to de-frizz her hair like i do with all of my normal ponies but it didn't quite get all of the frizz out. she still has sort of 'split ends' and i don't know how to fix that. also the scent in her hair faded away somewhat and even though before it made me sick i still kind of sad and i feel like i ruined her a little bit :c the split ends, and the slight smell is really uncomfortable to me to play with her like the rest of my ponies. is there any way for me to fix this? or at least does anyone have or know of a sugar sweet for sale anywhere that doesnt have these problems ? cause i'm really sad I feel like i ruined my favorite pony :C

i am very bad at introducing myself but here goes anyways! i have always loved my little pony but i never realized how beautiful the first generations were until recently, and i'm disappointed i haven't been collecting them earlier! so i started a very small collection of my very own right now I have: baby gusty, baby frosting, sundance, majesty, and sugar sweet in my little family. with a sugarberry, and possibly a coco berry on the way  i also have quite a large collection of fourth generation ponies that have been misplaced somewhere.. hm.. anyways. i'm mostly here to learn more about the older ponies from more experienced collectors, and hopefully avoid making as many rookie mistakes as possible and of course talk about my little ponies! <3
