I liked MLP as a kid but I wasn't a collector until about a year and a half ago. I was perusing eBay and started looking up things from my childhood and ended up buying a pony. Then I dug out my childhood ponies and found the MLP Preservation Project website and started cleaning my old ponies then I bought more ponies then I found the Arena and things exploded pony-wise and now it's my Thing.

I had maybe 25 ponies in my childhood herd and now.... let's just say there's a lot more.

We used to have a traditional sit-down dinner with baked ham and all that but haven't done so in a couple years.

This year it was spaghetti and meatballs with my parents and one of my sisters (the other sister lives far away and didn't get back this year, usually my parents go to her but they chose to stay home this year).

The Christmas Eve party was mostly finger foods, pulled pork and sliced turkey/ham for sandwiches and way too many cookies/cakes/candy.

Actually my husband and I typically have Kraft macaroni and cheese since we like being lazy on Christmas Day when left to our own devices. ^^*

I love reading/seeing what folks got for Christmas!!

I've gotten really bad about uploading pics to Photobucket to post here, but I've posted in some FB groups and on Tumblr...

I got Paradise Estate and Oakley the Moose from my husband!! :0 PE I kind of suspected (the wrapped box was GINORMOUS) but Oakley was a total surprise!

My sister's boyfriend also made me a very cute Pinkie Pie ornament (he works at a place where he has access to a lot of lasers and such and he made all of us custom ornaments this year).

I got a lot of nice non-pony things too, such as a new coat from my folks and a DVD box set of one of my fave shows from my sister. It was a nice haul this year.

Also I got some extra money and splurged a little on eBay yesterday so I will have some ponies coming in the mail sooner or later

Savers and Red Racks (a Disabled American Veterans thrift store ) are my best places. I didn't know Once Upon a Child had toys, I need to try them out!
