The g2 ponies were the ponies sold in my childhood so I love them a lot!

I really wish that these would come to the UK. I would love to collect a full set! Am I right in thinking that they are not made by Hasbro?

I asked around via email to all the big companies and supermarkets but only got three replies. :/ Argos doesn't know, ASDA won't and the department store Fenwick said maybe. *sighs*

I think each and every official G4 plush is ugly. The only ones that look nice are the BaB but I hate the nylon hair and costs.

That's why I got the Chinese factory ones on ebay who look show accurate and even have their marks on both sides.
Hasbro should have made them hand over the patterns before they sent a C&D. Their plushies looked super cute and had nice quality.

They are ugly. It's a crying shame that other companies put more effort and quality into Hasbro's products then Hasbro does.

My Lunas are fakie plushies but they look SO GOOD. They used silky fabric for her mane and tail and even embroidered silver stars like???

I think what they're going to do with Earth Pony!Twilight is that she's going to have magic despite being an Earth Pony and the plot is going to hinge around that.

I'm not sure they entirely count since they're still ongoing but I have a collection of Pokémon figures that also include the 90s Tomy ones.

Paradise has been an objective since I first saw Return of Tambelon as a child, and I recently got hold of her and I'm so happy! I've deflocked her, and now she looks amazing!

Yes. Perfect <3. That is the true Paradise in my view. Hasbro UK took her from us, you know :( She was a prototype but then they pulled her before the Estate went on sale. That fact still traumatises me as she was a favourite from my childhood...

I like the fuzzy, but there's something special about her looking like yours. Great job and congrats. She's beautiful <3.

I've wanted this pony for twenty-two years and I finally have her, in the form I wanted. #goals, I think.

I never had the Paradise Estate, since I never found it at a boot fair.

I don't mind having ponies that aren't in mint condition. I think that ponies with play wear have much more personality to them and hold a very interesting story. I always wonder who the ponies were owned by, who bought them, if they were a gift, how they were played with, etc. I have a baby ballerina Pony with a star drawn in pen where her symbol would be if she had one, and I can't bear to try to fade it away. Whatever child owned her loved her so much that she gave her a symbol and I just can't take that away from the pony.

Catch me crying in the club because this is so sweet :wail:

Deflocked Paradise has been one of my most wanted since I saw Paradise in a cartoon as a kid (having a cartoon as an ad for your toys really worked back then) but I settled for a flocked one, too afraid to deflock. How long did it take you, and how was her flock beforehand?

It took me roughly three days without working on her constantly and because I still needed to buy some supplies for her.

I used pure acetone for everywhere that wasn't her eyes, blush and symbols and acetone-free nail polish remover for her eyes, blush and symbols. The flocking on her body had weaker glue than that on her head, so I had to boil her head for a bit first. Once all the flocking was removed I took out her tail and left her to soak in a sugar soap bath for about five minutes, head and body, which got all the remaining glue off. I would recommend seeing if the flocking can be removed by hand/nail, then separating the head and body and removing the tail and boiling if not. Also I used about fifty or sixty cotton buds, I reckon, with some make up remover pads on the legs, and a hobby knife on a bit of very stubborn neck glue.

Be very careful on the eyes and blush regardless of the lack of acetone in nail polish remover. They can withstand some rubbing but not too much.

Also I'm in the UK so sugar soap is this:

Pony Corral / Vinegar for Tail Rust???
« on: January 04, 2018, 03:26:57 PM »
Since I'm unsure where to put this (I was certain there would be a restoration board!) but I had a Thought while I was beheading Glow earlier... Vinegar is, as most people know, excellent for rust, but... has anyone tried it on pony tail rust?

Obviously there would be the issue of smell and obviously organic material leads to mould if not completely removed but... it's a thought?
