Customs / Re: Fetlock mold HELP!!!

Why not just sculpt the details you need?
I may end up doing that, but it would look a lot neater and be easier is all.

I am curious about the Boutique Pinkie, any marks or anything on her?

Customs / Fetlock mold HELP!!!
« on: November 10, 2015, 04:14:19 PM »
I had a flexible mold of a Big Brother's fetlocks and I lost it in the move. I don't have any big brothers, and I am wondering, could someone make and send me a flexible mold? I need it for a custom I am working on.

For Trade / Funko Mystery Minis Wave 3 for tade
« on: November 03, 2015, 06:56:46 PM »
I have 2 Celestias for trade from wave 3 of the mystery boxes from Funko. I got them both today and already have one.
I want:
Nightmare Moon (absolutely want/need her)
Shining Armor
Maud

I live in the US, and would like to trade them with someone else in the states as well.

It's my pleasure, it wasn't even my intention I just knew my friends are fans of the games, and I wanted to gush over your customs to them.

I'm not sure, it is a glass cleaner that is blue in color though they have a clear one too. Any quick dry, streak free, glass cleaner works.

So I linked the image of the Tinytina, then linked your Etsy to my friends to gush over how amazing your customs on. One of them started cursing me:
[7:26:41 PM] Jb: want...
[7:26:42 PM] Jb: want
[7:26:47 PM] Jb: WANTWANTWANTWANTWANTWANT
[7:31:02 PM] Jb: got
[7:31:15 PM] Jb: the picture is even titled 'pop goes the bandit'
[7:33:12 PM] Jb: dammit dreamy.  Tiny Tina is my absolutely favorite borderlands character.  I has no control DX
and he promptly bought it

Instead of mixing water with your acrylics to thin them, I would use Windex. It's what I use and it works as a thinner, but it dries quicker than water, also when using water I find that the paint pearls up and drips off. I would suggest base coats for sure, since I started using them I have used significantly less layers.

Ok since dollyhair is behind on orders they aren't doing samples right now, so I need some help color matching. Below or the colors that seemed closest to what I need, does anyone have their own scraps they could compare too?
Deep Sea (closest I think)
Haunted Forest
Pacific Ocean

Also how many hanks of hair do you guys use for a fashionstyle doll?
Thank you in advance for the help.

Very pretty, I want to do a custom from a snow globe pony but I am afraid of messing it up. Did you follow any tutorials? I would like to try it but they are so expensive.

Update
I had finished the paint job but, turns out his body was the wrong shade, so I repainted it, with a poor quality paint that was just.. awful. I finally have the right shade with good paint. Now I am working on fixing the hair up.

Customs / Re: Custom No-nos

I have another once from back when I first started making customs. I used to glaze mine with clear nail polish (before I found out about sealants) I went to grab a g4 I had painted, and I guess the vinyl had gone soft from warm weather, because when I grabbed it all the paint cracked and fell off in huge flakes.

I was devastated, it was even a commission and I had to completely start over.

Her hair looks amazing though!

My biggest blunder so far is leaving a pony i was giving a FBR to too long in between layers and it got lots of dust suck in it.it was for a swap and had to start over again with a new pony. :(
Oh man that is a bummer. I use baby wipes to get the dust off before painting the next layer (if you ever make the mistake again)
