Apart from that accessory pack still in its box on the table, not from this birthday that I can recall. I did also get an ALF doll that year, though 

I took my grandfather for a haircut at a local barber shop, and while I was waiting for his appointment to finish I spotted a G1 Parasol peeking out of the top of the kid's toy box in the corner.  The salon owner didn't want money, but they said I could have it if I came back with a replacement pony.  G3s were everywhere at the time, so I went back the next day with two common MIB G3s as payment for Parasol.  Considering she'd been passed around toy boxes and car boot sales for a few decades, she was amazingly minty.  Only surface dirt which all came off, mane and tail uncut and smooth, glittery symbols/eyes/blush all fully intact.  It felt as though she'd fallen out of heaven and straight into my lap.  It didn't matter that I already had a G1 Parasol, I knew she was coming home with me!

I'd never have thought to peek in toy boxes at waiting rooms! How cool haha

Congratulations! I really love the Big Brothers with their fluffy hooves! I still have Salty from my childhood herd - he's such a handsome pony.

I absolutely cannot stand when people make customs from G1 ponies instead of putting their time, energy, and resources into restoring them. It makes me really, really sad when I see that someone has made a custom from a G1.

Building off that previous statement, I don't believe in the concept of "bait" ponies, since if a pony can be customized, that pony could have been restored instead.

I wish Hasbro had made a set with Megan and TJ instead of just Megan and Sundance. I would have loved (and would still love) a TJ!

I wish Hasbro had made more ponies in the seated pose.

My least favorite sets are the ones that really anthropomorphized the ponies physicality - the Fancy Pants babies and the First Tooth babies.

I still kind of hold a grudge over how toxic bronies were at the beginning of their existence as a community, even though they seem to have quieted down for the most part by now.
