It would be great to expand My Little Wiki to include character traits for G1 girls plus a bibliography of all known G1 media so those traits could be referenced.

This is an excellent idea and one I'm willing to work on or at least setup the bones for it on the little wiki when it's editable again.

im surprised at how many "i like to hold them" comments are being made. i love it!

Yeah, as I was typing it on my reply I was hoping no one would take it a weird direction. lol  You know how cats like to rub their cheeks on things they like or want to make theirs? It's like that. hahahahaha

I think Majesty could literally do anything. Didn't she bring into existence the first ever boy pony?

I want loose ponies because I want to be able to touch them and display them easily.

I did however buy MIB my little kitties and puppies and open the packages, years ago. Long story of losing my collection as a child, then losing an auction for the set, and then winning an auction but the figures had sharpie on them. So then I got the MIB versions so that I would have absolutely perfect figures. I opened the packages halfway so that I could take them out and photograph them and I actually keep them stored in their halfway opened packages. I do feel guilt over it but I will never sell them so it really doesn't matter... I would also never attempt to re-sell them as MIBs.

How do I enter the drawing since I bought mine off of ebay?

Also, the figure mold for the pony is exquisite. My bf made his own molds for terrain for table top gaming and we are both super impressed with what must have gone into making her pretty much perfect.

Pony Corral / Re: my little wiki is back up and updated!

I talked to absol recently and it sounds like between a crazy school schedule and other major time consuming/stressful events there hasn't been a lot of time to work on fixing the issue(s) with the wiki. Something in the backend of the server (NOT the wiki software) has to be fixed/changed and there just hasn't been time to do that with everything that's been going on. Hopefully soon but just so everyone knows absol has not forgotten about it.

Pony Corral / Re: Deflocking
« on: September 12, 2016, 08:59:16 PM »
I repeatedly oxyclean bathed my Ribbon when I was deflocking her and haven't had any damage to any part of her. Getting the glue residue off was such a pain. I have the rest of the unicorns minus Buttons (since there is a deflocked version of her) post oxyclean bath with their heads off and tails out sitting in a box for probably the last couple of years because there is still a boat load of residue on them. I'm getting acetone and jasco soon for those.

I attempted to use q-tips with my acetone-nail polish remover on Twist and had no luck at all while I sat in front of the tv for hours trying to get it to make any dent in the glue. That glue was just super stubborn.

I thought I had a photo of a multi-pony oxy stew but I could only find my photo of Ribbon, but I do have a photo of a pile of project ponies.

For me the sources cited (references) aren't showing up correctly (it's showing the code instead of rendering it like it should) plus some of the images' thumbnails not loading. I know what the issue is with the references not showing up - it's the software update and some lines of code need to be changed for that - but I'm guessing that's something in a long line of somethings that Absol is working on.

The edits have been off for at least a month, I think, I'm dying to get back in there and add more stuff.  :)

That's in 7, in the underground section of the desert.

Speaking of 7, I have gone on EPIC rants about some of the logic in that game.  Especially this - in Falderol Valanice needs to get a wheel of cheese out of a fountain. Despite her being roughly the same size as the fountain, she refuses to lean over and get the cheese because she doesn't want to get wet.  WTF Val?!  Your daughter is in mortal peril and you're making me find a stick so you won't get your dress wet?!  Getting wet is about the least of your worries, you know!

I wouldn't touch the water in Falderol either. :p Also, Valanice is a queen and her queeniness and properness would probably overrule any activity that would mess up her clothing or get her dirty. Although, didn't she crawl through a hole to get into the evil lady with the super annoying dogs' house?

I always had trouble in the nightmare land (I don't remember what that place was called) where you pick up the dynamite to put in the tomb door but I always ended up getting blown up about 20 times as I would try to make my way there. The shadow hound freaked me out for the longest time as well. I loved all the puns on the tombstones, so fantastic.

OMG though the scene in 6 where you play music for the skeletons where you get to go into the underworld was epic. I just about died laughing when that happened.

My Loot. I had two copies of 7 and one would glitch. I think my favorite part of 6 was the afterlife? underworld? and the scariest thing ever was the Minotaur. I loved 7. 5 I played with my dad the first time and oh man that was fun. We'd draw out maps for the desert and ocean and the labyrinth.

1 - 4 were text commands and I had a terrible time with those because I was awful at spelling and it wanted specific phrasing. The best part was in #2 where you have to give the caged bird to the shop keeper and my brother and I just couldn't get it right and ended up typing 'give woman the bird' and laughing like the little kids we were.

Hi all!

So I'm working on the Little Pretty section on the My Little Wiki and I need photos of some of the figures and of the accessories. There are some things I just don't want to have to track down or buy so I am sending out a call for anyone in the Seattle area who has these that would be willing to let me photograph them. You can come over and play with my cats and I could even buy you gelato after the photo session. Even if you don't live nearby and you have these, especially the MIPs/MOCs and would be willing to donate photos I would be truly appreciative.

When I photograph them they need to have been through a spa day and looking as spiffy as possible.

These are the things I need photos of:

I'm glad you were able to find that!  I poked around but couldn't locate the thread, LOL!  Those were my ponies in the old thread, but in the end I couldn't bear to part with them.  A common pony problem, right?   But anyway, I got a lot of PMs about the ribbons from people willing to pay the prices listed in the thread.  Just so you know that those prices weren't over-inflated or anything.  Apparently the store-bought Sparkle ponies either didn't come with ribbons, or they didn't come with the gold-trimmed ribbons.

I've had them for about a year but I really only bought the lot for Star Hopper with plans of reselling the others (I'm so close to having all of the G1 unicorns not including Nirvanas). I'm *finally* getting around to it. :) Good to know about the sought-after status of the ribbons. They are probably the prettiest pony ribbons I've seen, especially Stardancer's blue one.
