Earlier this month, I bought a custom character design by Librho on deviantart from an epic base of theirs: link

It looks to be half lion half unicorn and I fell in love. They were epic to work with. I sent them photos of MoonDreamers toys to explain the kind of themes I wanted and together we came up with this sweetie:

The result kind of reminds me of Kingsley the lion. Kingsley is one of my favs, so I love that!  :lol: I still haven't decided on a name or gender for my new character though.

Anyway, I absolutely had to draw them! I referenced official artwork of 80's My Little Pony and Moondreamers. I really wanted to get that 'look' down and I think I succeeded.

I'm really happy with how this turned out. I actually feel like I did them justice.  :heart:

As I said before, not sure on what their name is or if they're gonna be a boy or girl.

I really want to get a good name. Either a one word name, or two words like many ponies have. I'm going to ask around in a couple of communities in case anyone has ideas!  ^.^ Thank you for looking, and for reading~ I needed to gush about them haha. I would love to get a model or custom made IRL someday.

Thank you both!  :lol: I'm glad people think the tortie turned out good, I feel like I struggled a lot to get the coloring right. Plus it was such an old and kinda blurry photo for reference. My aunt ended up sending me pictures of torties on google as examples for the right colors and fur length. There were quite a few revisions on it but she was thrilled with the result.

My current project is a Shih Tzu for one of my other aunts. It's such a wildly different dog than the samoyed Kody, so getting the fur right is going to be trial and error haha.

Griffin - the eyes are definitely the part I refine the most! Once I get the rough concept down I paint them first then fill in the portrait around them.  :lol:

Penny. This is the cat of a client who's come to me for repeat artworks of their characters and cats. I've fallen in love with their cats after drawing them many times and so I decided to paint Penny for her based on this gorgeous photo of her.

Sorry I only just saw your post Shaiyeh! Haven't been on much.

No worries, I have fan made amiibo coins for all the Sanrio characters that work just the same- I just wanted a legit set of cards lol. Last I heard the original release cards go for insane prices but maybe they lowered in cost. I'm not sure that the items can be ordered from the catalog since they're in a special tab when shopping though.

Ah dang, I wonder if it's per Target or not haha. I still appreciate that you would've tried if not for the crazy release they're doing. Maybe you'll get lucky and if not no worries, I hope you still manage to get one for you and the other someone!  :)

I hope this is the right place to post this.

I really wanted to get these cards from Target, which is the only place they will be sold in the US as far as I know, but I found out today they are only available for Order Pickup or Drive Up. I don't have any means of transportation to a Target and they're going to be limited in supply.  >_<

I know there are some Animal Crossing fans here so I thought it wouldn't hurt to see if anyone was already planning to get a hold of these if someone could grab me a pack. I would happily pay the cost for a pack and the cost to ship if it's within the US. I had a little money set aside for them already.  ^.^

Neopets is actually where I got this username. Six is one of my favorite numbers and I think what happened is "Hannah6" wasn't available and it offered me other options and I somehow ended up here. XD My account is 15 years old.  :blink: Ever since neopets sold out I haven't played much since the site's never been the same. A few pages from the site still make my list of daily clicks but that's about it.

I also play Subeta and have been semi-regularly since 2009. Same username. I technically joined others here or there but never stayed long. I always meant to try more on misticpets - I'm sad to hear it's dead now.  :( I hear about flight rising and dappervolk every so often but have never really investigated. I came across a lion themed one too but I wasn't big on the artstyle. I also play goatlings, under the username Cherished.

I miss my gaia account but I haven't been able to access it for years.  >_< From what I can tell the site isn't the same as it was when I played more a decade ago.

I also really, really enjoyed this site called neurogalaxy and it just... up and closed with no warning to any of us and that still kind of hurts.  :pout:

My sister and I each customized a McDonald's pony into an ornament for a Christmas swap we took part in years ago.  :) I customized a g4 McD pony and my sister customized a g3 one. I dug up some photos we took before mailing the box.  ^.^ It doesn't show up well in the photos but I added a swarovski crystal into the eye on the one I customized. I didn't freehand the snowflake though, I tracked down micro stickers instead.  :P
