Could someone help a pony out who is feeling too under the weather to read through seven pages to find the info I want? lol - sorry!

I just saw a show accurate PP on eBay and this is the first I've heard... so Funko have released blind box minis of some of the characters in their proper colours?

Thanks in advance :)

Show accurate ponies are only part of the Hot Topic exclusives. The Hot Topic ones come in cases of 24 and 5 of those are the show accurate colors. The other 19 are 1 black Fluttershy and 2 blacks of each of the other 9 ponies. There are no GitD ones in the Hot Topic exclusives.

For reference the non Hot Topic set comes in a case of 12 and there are no duplicates at all, just 10 of the black ponies and 2 GitD.

I would love it so much if wave 10 was a neon/glitter wave with a metallic Twilight Sparkle, Fluttershy, and Rainbow Dash.

Not quite in the same regard, but I've basically got all the ponies I want right now except for four of the new minisets which haven't really come out in full force yet. I miss driving around for a few hours, hitting up all the TRU, Targets, and Walmarts in the area and heading right to the pony sections.

Even when I didn't find anything new, it was still oodles of fun because of the building suspense.

I'm lost here, you mean there is a regular version of each black version? But on the funko page I can't see them.

The regular colored versions are available only in the Hot Topic exclusive set.

There are two different sets, the Hot Topic set comes in cases of 24, with 15 unique ponies. The non-Hot Topic exclusive set comes in cases of 12 with 12 unique ponies. There are 10 pony overlaps between the two sets (the 10 black ones). The Hot Topic exclusive has 5 show accurate colored ponies (and in a case of 24, there are doubles of all of the black ones except for Fluttershy) and the 2 glow-in-the-dark ones are exclusive to the non-Hot Topic sets.

Thanks for the responses. It looks like I'm going to have to check out the Spencer's in the area. Unfortunately I know all the comic stores in the area and none of them deal in clothing, so that's a bust unless I want to go online as suggested.

edit: Found a pair at the first Spencer's I went to today. Thank again to everyone, Spencer's wasn't even on my list of potential stores since I haven't seen them carry anything MLP previously.

edit edit: Put them on this morning, certainly a tight fit, but I managed to pull them as high as they could go, so they do fit.

Pony Corral / Knee high socks with mane questions

I've seen these (specifically the Pinkie Pie ones) on eBay (and overpriced on Amazon), but I haven't actually found out what brick and mortar stores they're supposedly sold in. Does anyone happen to know where they're sold?

Also, I know they're supposed to be female sizes, but I'm wondering if they'd be okay for male (myself) to wear. I'd absolutely love to have a pair, but they wouldn't do me a whole lot of good if they wouldn't actually fit me.

Here are the socks that I'm referring to.

Hi everyone! May i please ask for a favour? I have purchased a set of them for ship to Singapore. However, I am uncertain about the shipping weight and am thinking whether to purchase a shipping guarantee with my agent so that my shipping costs are capped. Can someone be so kind as to measure the height, width and length of the case containing the 12 (or just an individual box will do as well) for me please?? so that i could calculate the volumetric weight? Thank you so much in advance!!! :D

6.5" x 7.5" x 8.5" Surprisingly on the mark, too.

I just called them and they said there has been no recall on it. Oh I'm seriously ticked there's been no recall on them and furthermore, they refused to sell them to me.

Post Merge: December 15, 2013, 11:19:50 PM

When I bought mine, they weren't in the system at all (though they still sold them to me under the Wave 8 UPCs after some discussion). At the time I was surprised that they had them out at all, because they'd only been at Hot Topic for a week or two.

What I think is happening is that Hot Topic was supposed to have a month of exclusivity on Wave 9 (like they did with Wave 8) and there was some sort of mix-up at Target which ended with them mistakenly putting out the Wave 9 boxes too early. So now Target is trying to pull the boxes back in until such time that they're supposed to be putting them out.
well they told me that they had been recalled.

They probably just use the world recall for any item they need to get off of the sales floor, regardless if it's a manufacturer's recall or something else. It's likely easier to convince a customer that they can't buy an item by telling them that it's recalled instead of telling them that they're not supposed to sell it yet.

I got a Pinkie Pie keychain yesterday and the smell of the plastic is absolutely retched. Has anyone else noticed and, if so, know of a way to counteract it (or does it simply dissipate over time)?

Maybe I missed it, but have they said if it's going to be Twilight Sparkle or Princess Twilight Sparkle?

Re the weights- I can just imagine if I walked into Hot Topic with my postal scale and asked if I could please plug it in somewhere- or maybe my little kitchen scale

Neon how many colored ones were in your box if you know?

Conveniently enough I already had the perfect scale that I use to weigh my tea, compact and battery powered. I don't think it would be that big of a deal since I've never gotten a strange look when looking at the codes for the blind bags. I imagine they're used to dealing with obsessed fans of different fandoms already. XD

DISCLAIMER: I can't guarantee the information in this post is going to be consistent across all of the Mystery Minis, this is just my experience with them and I thought I'd share in case someone else wanted to do the same thing and potentially corroborate the information.

I got my box of Mystery Minis from Toywiz yesterday and opened them today. On a hunch I decided to weigh them in the box beforehand, note the weight, and match the identities after opening the boxes.

From heaviest to lightest:

Fluttershy: 77.5g
Pinkie Pie: 75g
Spitfire: 71.9g
DJ Pon-3: 67.8g
Muffin: 66.2g
DJ Pon-3 GitD: 64.8g
Lyra Heartstrings: 64g
Muffin GitD: 63g
Rainbow Dash: 62.5g
Octavia: 61.8g
Sweetie Drops: 61.5g
Dr. Whooves: 56g

As you can see, there's a lot of similar weights in the middle, but if you're looking for Fluttershy, Pinkie Pie, Spitfire, or Dr. Whooves, there's a significant enough difference that if you're so inclined, if you happen to have a scale, you have a pretty good chance of identifying them, or at least narrowing them down.

I actually expected the GitD ones to be slightly heavier, but they turned out to be the exact opposite. (Of course I don't know if the GitD sets have started showing up in stores anywhere yet, so we're probably stuck on the Hot Topic exclusive ones still.)

(And here's the order they were in the box, though I suspect this will mean very little)

Top row, back left to right: Pinkie Pie, Octavia

Top row, middle left to right: Sweetie Drops, Lyra Heartstrings

Top row, front left to right: Muffin GitD, DJ Pon-3 GitD

Bottom row, back left to right: Fluttershy, Muffin

Bottom row, middle left to right: Dr. Whooves, Rainbow Dash

Bottom row, front left to right: DJ Pon-3, Spitfire

edit: Just for a little bit more information, it looks like there's a slight variance in how much the boxes weighed, but only by about a gram. Comparing the weights of the individual figures outside of the box compared to in the box, the difference was usually between 22g and 23g. So even if you have an accurate scale, it looks like the best you can do for a few is to just narrow your chances. (For example, between Rainbow Dash, Lyra, and the two GitD ones.)

Pony Corral / Re: Do you want all of the ponies or just the ones you like?
« on: December 10, 2013, 01:44:40 PM »
I only get the G4 ones that I want, but since the majority of my collection is blind bag ponies, that's an easy matter (yay codes). I go for the Mane 6, unique molds, and any relevant names (such as Lyra Heartstrings or Trixie Lullamoon and Sunset Shimmer... IF THEY'D RELEASE ONE). The one exception was Barber Groomsby because the mustache and bow-tie just looked awesome. (Also I have no shame when it comes to Pinkie Pie, I've gotten numerous duplicates of her just because I can.)

I have started with the Funko full-size vinyls, but I've a bit pickier with what I want there. So far it's just been the 3 of the Mane 6 plus Muffin and Dr. Whooves. With the next dozen I'll probably get the remaining 3 of the Mane 6 and no one else unless they have a really compelling character that doesn't come to mind right now.

Finally, I went ahead and bought a complete case of the Funko Mystery Minis just because I wanted 9 of the 12 and since there were no ID codes of any kind, it was easier to buy a case than to either take my chances buying singles or to buy the ones I want individually.

Pony Corral / Re: Collection Resolutions 2014
« on: December 10, 2013, 02:38:49 AM »
I resolve to not waffle on my collecting. Too many times this past year I've waffled on whether or not I wanted to get something, decide to not get it because I was waffling, then a few months later regret waffling and try to turn around get the same item, only to be unable to find it.

So this year, if I'm not sure if I want something, just get it, because I'll likely regret not getting it later.
